Great store in Millsboro de. Staff is extremely friendly and everything is well organized. Plenty of stock in most departments.

I used to like this place. However, the past 2 times I went there, I had to abandon my cart because the checkout lines were nearly the full length of the store with only 2-3 check out lanes open. Pretty sad state of affairs. there are like 20 lanes in this store, why so many closed? Giving serious consideration to not renewing my membership. read more

I have been a member for 6 yrs and counting! The best time to go is early in the AM. I love how you can use mfg coupons in addition to the store coupons. Definitely makes for great savings. The bakery makes fresh bagels. The asiago cheese bagels rock! I've bought birthday cakes from BJ's and they were oh so delicious. The only bad thing about going to BJ's is I must make a list to stay focused. Straying away from the list can prove costly - LOL I heart me some BJ's!! read more

Steph from customer service is such a great person , she help me fix my membership after the manager Tasha messed it up , she also helped me with my credit card even offered to upgrade me to the elite card . bj's always has what i need, and the employees are very helpful especially one employee in particular her name is tasha. she is amazing, the day in question was friday april 2nd, i was on line and i noticed she was going around helping everybody like she was the only one working, and she was very friendly. she is the the quality employee that will have me coming back to shop. kudos to tasha. i hope this feedback gets back to her. read more

I know people only leave bad reviews I have had one or two good experience I've been with the store since 2016 and I will not go back as soon as my renewal has ended. I asked for a price check they send me up to stand in line at customer service after 10 to 15 minutes of standing there one of the two people behind the counter walk away and start Dilly dallying on her phone as she's walking leaving three customers still in line and the other lady behind the counter still helping someone else all they need was a price check nobody in the back could help me so I get in line to do the price check at the register so I hit help somebody comes over and tells me I need to ring my car before she could check the price so I gave her my card she registered with the register as she's doing that I'm clipping my coupons they walk away after ringing up all my items my coupons will not clip and she tells me it's because I have to clip my coupons prior to me running my card to check out so all the coupons are not able to be used another lady over here is our conversation and says she can fix it should be right back I stand there for 10 minutes nobody shows up I walk out of the store and discuss at this point I'm pretty pissed. I tried to place my order online and the tent which is a 13x13 BJ's brand tent that I know there are three of them still sitting on the shelf and one that's in my car I try to place online I figured I'd place an order online and I just go pick it up that way I didn't have to deal with clown show of the people inside and it's telling me it's out of stock so I spend another 40 minutes on the phone with a customer service trying to explain to him that it is in stock if they could please call them and ask them just go look and add it to my order they can't do anything or helpless. the closest one to me is Downingtown Pennsylvania which is an hour or more away and I can't even get it delivered to my house. they said I'm not in a delivery area. this is the worst experience I've ever had with a store no one carries around price check guns like in every other store in America or they can check a price for you you really have to go stand in line for customer service to get a price check or to see if they happen to have an item BJ's is ass backwards and I will not put myself through it again. there is probably better people working somewhere else in BJ's but this one in Newark seriously need some managers to train better than what they have there I had my shopping cart and ready to leave within 15 minutes it took me an extra 45 minutes to deal with all their poorly trained people. if it is a policy to send your customers up to stand in line for a price check well then it's BJ's fault not the actual workers but that is some sorry customer service to say the least and to tell me that I cannot use my coupons because the lady asked me for my card and started my check out before I was able to get all the coupons up in my phone and tell me that the 24 hours for the coupons that I have or going to be useless to me after the experience that they put me through sorry excuse for a store. 261149 this is the item number that they have four of them in Newark that they can't determine they have I'm adding this to it in hopes that a BJ's representative will see this review and maybe do something. my son also uses this account well I didn't cancel and ask for a refund but I did have it set up where I'm not going to be renewed when it runs out we're going to try somewhere else there cannot be any worse workers at any other store somebody really needs to take over that store and teach the workers how to better assist their customers. as much money they charge just to have a membership there you think that it would be able to afford to have some decent people there stand in line for 15 minutes so that way you can find out what that price of that item is so you can determine whether you want it or not move on with your shopping after that. low life read more

Been putting off this hoping for better, but alas no improvement. Especially the deli, horrible. Never had less then 10 mins but usually much longer. Never enough people to help, many times only one person. Other then a few most of the employees at deli are surely and misariable. Some will stop mid slicing to have a conversation while 10 or are waiting to be served. Absolutely ridiculous... Actually selection and prices aren't bad, but not for the wait.... No use complaining had been this way for a awhile. Doesn't seem to matter when u come either...Be nice if the precut area was ever stocked, that's always empty too.... Rest of the store seems to have no issues, never any issues... Actually standing here as I write this and one of two walked away while 5 or 6 ate waiting and I've been here for 25 mins already and still 4 people to go.... read more

always a disappointment. I can't bring myself to buy a membership because invariably they are out of what I want, or they only have some obscure flavor or formulation of a "normal" product I wanted, so not useful. I come for the large size cocoa, grapefruit, vitamins, and a few toiletries (if they have the brand I want, which is hit or miss). The rest is not worth the trip unless you have a huge family or you really like bulk. I do better buying multiples of smaller sale items at the regular grocery store chains. read more

This BJ's Wholesale is in a strip mall on Route 72. This road can be very busy but luckily, there is a traffic light to make it easy to exit from the strip mall. Unlike the two other BJ's in this state, this one doesn't have gas pumps but that is the only thing lacking. Inside the store, I noticed that the aisles and general layout is more spacious than the other BJ's. I didn't have much of a wait at the checkout line either, although it could have been a slack period when I was there. read more

I have never experienced worse customer service in my life. I would give zero stars if that was an option.Do not purchase any expensive item because if there is a problem, tough luck. I contacted the 1-800 customer care number and that was useless and a waste of 1.5 hours being on hold . No one on phone could help. I was told that I would get a call back and an email back within 48 hrs. Representative said they would mark as urgent. 48 hours came and went, They never got back to me . I am really shocked with this experience. Costco would be a better bet. read more

I love this store! It is great! I am a member and I love the fact that they have a verizon booth, an electronics section, cafe, and just about everything else. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a lot of stuff for a good price. read more

Good selection and incredibly low prices. Not even Amazon can beat the prices on goods found at BJs. Their coupon booklets are really useful and they often mail custom coupons based on your purchase history. I've shopped at multiple locations and staff on all locations were courteous and extremely helpful. Can get crowded with long lines on weekends bit that is expected from any popular store. Plus people are Shopping here because you won't get it at this price anyplace else! :) read more

Every time we order a pick up order, items are missing. For example, the last time I picked up an order the most expensive items (protein) was not there. Before leaving the store, I had to go over this several times in which the staff member had to find the items. There is an apparent lack of check and balances/staff not checking orders. Would suggest you have the manager go over the pick up procedure orders with staff. The order I picked up most recently was also not ready 1/2 hours after pick up time elapsed and I asked the manager to call 2 x after I checked in. Again, items were missing and the staff member that was supposed to bring my order stopped to ask questions with other people who just arrived. This was inconsiderate of all those now standing in line. Additionally, staff and shoppers were NOT maintaining social distancing protocols nor wearing their masks correctly (not covering nose and face). They were also helping people who showed up after me that had expired memberships buy wipes after arguing about policy for 30 minutes - why wasnt the person standing on line not asked to "kindly step aside" so the manager could speak to them separately so those that ordered pick up orders (health care workers) could just get their orders and go? They ended up allowing the person with the expired membership to make their purchases instead of having them renew their membership and go to the regular line (lack of fairness). The service and safety protocols are in need of improvements. Would suggest you do not waste your money on membership here - its a waste of time and money and not a safe environment. read more

I was there with my three-year old son after picking him up at the end of a workday; it was a full cart. At check-out, the cashier moved my big bag of toilet paper from inside my cart to be with the big bag of paper towel at the space below my cart. With the distraction of my three-year-old, I did not pay as much attention as I should when I exited the store. When I got to my car, I noticed that the big bag of toilet paper, which I paid $22.00 for, was not there. I immediately walked back to the store with my cart. At first, they told me 'Oh, someone found a bag of paper in the parking lot'. I waited for almost 10 min. Then one clerk came to me and pointed to the bag of my paper towel, saying 'Isn't your toilet paper there??' I said, 'No, these are paper towel rolls'. By then, I suspected that the cashier might have moved my toilet paper to the bottom of another cart when I was not paying attention -- think about it, if such a huge bag of toilet paper really fell from my cart, what was the chance that I noticed nothing?? I asked the clerk to ask the cashier at No. 8 to see if she 'misplaced' my toilet paper. He came back, looking at me as if I was crazy, and he said 'Oh, she said she has not seen anything like that'. I asked him to talk to his manager, he came back in no time saying 'She said there is NOTHING' we can do. Well, the people who checked your receipts at the entrance only care whether you have anything in the cart but not on the receipt but not have the courtesy to tell you when something as big as a bag of toilet paper is missing from your cart but is printed on your receipt? They could have easily check their surveillance camera to see what's going on but no, there is NOTHING they would like to do for a distressed customer who has no time to argue with them with all the fatigue. My conclusion is that the cashier cannot care less about what she does and no one, including the store manager, will give a dame to how dissatisfied the customers are. After this, I am ready to just cancel my membership and just buy things from regular stores because with all the careless, incompetent, obnoxious and brainless checkout crew at that BJ store, the money I loss by not paying attention to catch their potential mistakes on the spot is very likely to be almost the same as the amount I FEEL I can save from a membership. Conclusion, if you really have to shop there, do self-check-out. read more

Labor Day weekend and there is one deli worker. Half the people left. The others are forced to stand and wait. The management at this store is the worst I've ever seen. I will not renew my membership here as this is not the first time this has happened. Costco is right around the corner and will get my business from now on. read more

Went to there optical Department and ordered glasses on Nov. 13. I asked to have them shipped rite to my address as they said it would be faster and I though it would be more efficient. They said I should have them in 7 to 10 business days. It is now DEC. 11, almost a month later. I finally called them and they said there was an error and they had been sitting in there drawer with a note on them. They sent them out yesterday Dec. 10 and I should have them in another 7-10 days!!! I am so mad. I truly believe PROFESSIONALISM HAS GONE OUT THE WINDOW in our society today and nobody cares!!! I have been a member since this club in Newark opened and love the selection they have. Since I have moved to Dover I have not been to the store as much as I used to but I did get a chance to shop there today with my parents. Today I had some of the worst customer service ever. My father picked up a movie he wanted off a shelf that showed the movie on sale for 16.99. It did not say if it was for DVD or Blu ray or combo pack, just the movie name and price. Of course we get to the check out and the movie came up 22.99 cause he picked up a combo pack(it was the only copy there) so we had to wait for a price check. I ran back to the movies found the sign and brought it up to show them . You would think the manger would apologize, offer a raincheck for the DVD, or offer to fix the sign at the least. Instead he treated me badly, wanted to fight with me over the sign and told me I should know the little number at the top of the sign was the SKU. His reasoning was of course it is for DVD not combo pack, if it was for the blu ray or combo pack it would have said so on the sign but could not answer me as to why then it did not say DVD on the sign and pointed out the SKU again. The man was insanely rude and just seemed like he wanted a fight. I had never seen the man before so maybe he is new but his customer skills are really lacking read more
