I stopped in here with my husband a few weeks ago. I forget what he was looking for that day but we walked out empty handed so I guess he didn't find it. He shops there often though. We had a few brief interactions with the employees while we were there and they were very nice. I'm sure I'll be tagging along there again soon. read more

We wanted to shop and support a local business but ended up just walking out due to poor customer service. We asked 3 people where items to hang things on the wall would be and all 3 gave the same vague answer "on a back wall somewhere" then walk away from us. The entire experience was really bizarre. It's unfortunate that we have to spend our money elsewhere now. read more

Everything you need and good price tars all kinds of stuff you will need to do a good job

This hardware and automotive store is in the University Plaza strip mall on Route 273. Although the hardware section can't compete with the likes of Home Depot and the automotive section can't compete with the likes of Autozone, they do have some interesting gadgets that are hard to find elsewhere. Also, they have some good specials. Put the two factors together and there's a very real danger of bringing a few items home that I didn't go there for. I used to go to sears for my tools. Haven't been to sears in years! Harbor freight for me! Can't beat the prices. I get a tool for homeowner use, not everyday use like a contractor. Never had a problem and stuff works great. Like a kid in a candy store! read more

This is one of the better Harbor Freight stores that I've been inside. The store is stocked well, which is a problem with many of the other stores. So, this store greets 5 stars because the shelves are never empty! Also, the staff is friendly. read more

I like harbor fright because the odd tools you can find. I worked in Aviation for years and found odd tools to do the job. tools that hard to find anywhere else. I got pick on for using Harbor Freight tools. But, When they need, They where the first ones to ask to borrow them. So the joke was on them. Love Harbor freight!!! read more

Long story short- Awful customer service in store and online. Also tools are super cheap for a reason-- they outsource to poorer countries and have poor quality standards. Long story- I bought a 10 x 12 greenhouse from them. Did my research a head of time so I knew I would have to buy extra supplies and put a bit more work into it to make it better, including laying a foundation for it and burying the bottom to secure it so it wouldn't fly away in a windy storm. I set up about 75% of the greenhouse when we noticed that one of the part number 14 rods were missing (a critical piece that supports the sides and panels. I went into the store with my receipt and they said I would have to disassemble the whole thing and bring it in for a replacement (essentially bringing them a dirty, drilled in, and cemented unit instead of them just taking the part out of a clean unit and making that the replacement). I told them there was no way I was scrapping two full days of work and digging that thing out of the ground and breaking up the foundation. They said I could call up their support team and get a part sent to me at a cost. I ended up doing that and they actually did not charge me. That was early May 2015. It is now January 2016 and I have still not received the part. I've called, only to be hung up on instantly, and emailed (which you will get the same guy each time that just copy and pastes a pre-written response that says, "we are still awaiting receipt of the part from the vendor. Once we have received the part, we will ship it to you immediately." Whenever I explain it to them, they say, "Your complete satisfaction is our primary concern. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase, and since you have been patiently waiting for parts to deliver, you can return the item with your receipt and a copy of this email thread to your local Harbor Freight retail store for a refund." I've asked to be escalated to a manager and supervisor each time to which they tell me they will forward my contact information on but I never hear back from anyone, so they clearly don't care. Customer satisfaction is not their top concern in the least. No matter how much logic I use, they will not just give me the part. When I go to the store, they hardly make eye contact, sigh and groan, and have even ignored me. I am not a confrontational person and I am always polite and courteous when I speak to them, but they treat me like I'm trash and dropping foul language. When I say something like, "what is the difference between me bringing in the unit that's been outside for over half a year versus the one that is new in the box that you can take the piece out of? You could even say I returned the defective unit which is the brand new one," they just say, "Because that's not how we do it." The policy is flawed clearly. We will see if I ever get the part. It would be quicker for me to learn how to do metal work and make one myself! read more
