We occasionally stop here for the lower gas prices on drives between Jacksonville and Orlando, then do some shopping. This location is clean and near a Longhorn Steakhouse and Miller's Ale House. One of the things I like is that there's a year-round long table of hardcover books past the cash registers. Some of the novels are interesting and there's a children's selection. Mr. Beast and James Patterson are the credited authors on a new novel. I'm assuming neither of them read it, much less wrote it. read more

Stopped by here to grab some of my vitamins that were on sale. Of course I didn't stop right at the vitamins when I arrived. I walked around to see what they had. I kept stopping near the cadbury robins eggs that were on sale. I kept hymning and hawing if I really needed them. No one needs that much chocolate, but my argument is I wanted the big bag to ration throughout the next few months last year and I waited too long and then they were out.....and I regretted not buying them for the past year. I went over to the vitamins, grabbed what I originally came to get, and then walked around and got myself a bag of cadbury robin's eggs. The staff here is wonderful! They welcome you in, ask if you need assistance and if you say yes, they help you find it and if you say no, they say have a nice day. The variety of food, household items, pool items, clothes, toiletries is wonderful! So happy the store open near me. BJ is about $1 more per item than Costco. U decide if its worth fighting the crowd. What a pain at self checkout. Attendant 3 feet from us, watched us (we were only 1 checking out) wife was scanning the little stuff, I used corded scanner for big heavy stuff, 30 items total.....checked receipt and didn't get any coupons CREDIT. she sent us to customer service to get credit......CS said u can't use both gun and stationary scanner (Even though u get a proper tone) self check girl had no clue and screen didn't care.... how sad that customer is expected to guess they are not connected to one database... AND SHE WANTED A DL number to enter for liquor....stupid frustrating read more

The second time is a charm at the newly opened BJs at Beachwalk, St Johns Fl. It is surrounded by a new Lowes and other amenities. BJs is the the superstore for bulk itmes and the lowest gas around. I was reluctant to get a membership but I do not have either a Costco or Sam club card so it made sense. Wifey and I went in for just paper products. However, BJs has it all including cheapest gas. We will be here regularly but not as much since bulk is the way to go. However, we 2 cars we will definitely be a filling both up several tumes and then some. Thank you BJs for coming to St Johns county and being part of our family. Or should I say we became part of you family until the end of 2025! read more

This is my first time ever at a BJs. I was super impressed. This location is fairly new so it's great to see a clean parking lot, friendly & helpful staff with the store is neatly stocked. As I was trying to get the lay of the land it was awesome to find the items I needed on the app so it directed me to the correct aisle. Pro tip, check the app for coupons so you can save a bit more. Since the store is new there was a special to sign up as a member, best $20 I've spent so far in 2025. Thanks BJs for making this a pleasant experience! Keep up the great work. read more

Never. Ever. Ever. Do a pick up order with this location. They left off 8 items. But wait, it gets better.. They figured out that they genuinely on site screwed up on 3 items. They refunded these items and the refund will return to our bank sometime early next week mon/tues. Annoying but understandable because today is Friday. As for the other 5 items though, they "shipped" and to a wrong address. Local management said they can't assist because they have no control over their app. Multiple layers of corporate dispute resolution occurred. Eventually they conceded that they use 3rd party vendors in some instances. The items delivered A MONTH later P.S. Shopping on site is convenient and fun otherwise. read more

The AC in the liquor store does not work and if it does, it's not very good. As small of a building it is, I can hardly stand to look around in there a without breaking into a sweat. And it also appears the roof has major leaks. Puddles everywhere in the store when it rains. Seems to have been like this for months as I see no change when it rains. I took a few days to organize my thoughts to ensure this account is factual rather than emotional. On Sunday, February 23rd, I went to return a Lenovo Laptop at the newly opened BJ's Wholesale Club at 115 Beachwalk Boulevard in St. Johns, FL. I had originally purchased the laptop on January 18th, 2025. During the purchase, I specifically asked both the employee and the manager on duty about the return policy, as I intended to use the laptop for work. While the employee wasn't sure, the manager confirmed that the standard return policy applied, which allowed returns within 90 days. I asked several times, being uncertain if the laptop would suit my needs. The laptop came not in a Lenovo box, but in a plain brown cardboard box, which was properly sealed. After using the laptop, I noticed its battery life was limited and the keyboard did not light up for evening work. Since it didn't meet my needs, I decided to return it on February 23rd at the Beachwalk BJ's. The employee, Rachel, was unsure about processing the return and consulted her Front Store Manager, Chris. Chris stated he couldn't accept the return because the laptop was no longer NEW and wasn't in its ORIGINAL BOX. I questioned where the return policy stated these requirements. Confidently, he referred to the computer and read the policy to me, without showing it. I pointed out that what he read didn't list those conditions (new and in the box). He then firmly stated, "bottom line, he was not accepting the return." I showed him the policy displayed behind the counter, but he dismissed it as invalid. Chris was extremely dismissive and came across as a bully. I requested to speak with the manager who was on duty during my purchase, which he refused, not even checking the transaction date. His dismissive behavior felt overbearing, and his interpretation of the return policy did not align with what was listed. The conversation escalated, and I admittedly used foul language out of frustration with his interpretation and treatment. He then threatened to revoke my membership. My husband, shocked by Chris's treatment, recorded the interaction, which I am willing to share with a Regional and/or District Manager. I hope all interactions at that desk are recorded, as Chris's behavior was unprofessional, dismissive, and inappropriate. I have never been treated so poorly. I am no longer concerned about the return, as I went to another BJ's Wholesale Club, where the return process took just 10 minutes. My funds have been refunded, but I share this review to ensure BJ's Wholesale Club provides Chris with a proper understanding of the return policy. Additionally, I hope they offer him necessary training or remove him from a customer-facing position. No one should feel bullied or dismissed. Walking away from a customer in such a disrespectful manner, refusing to listen, raising his voice, talking over me, and failing to provide evidence of his interpretation of the policy is unacceptable. I have filed a complaint with the customer complaint hotline and am restraining myself from posting the video that shows the manager's true colors. I hope this helps prevent others from having a poor experience at this location. For reference, here is the return policy. General merchandise ? I was excited to try BJ's after buying a very reasonably priced membership. Made our first trip there 12/30/24 and it was a good shopping experience. We picked up (among other things) Prime drink & Cheese Fix Munchies for our son's upcoming baseball game. When pulling the snacks together we realized the Prime expired 11/24 (before this warehouse even opened!) and the Munchies expired 1/25/25 (so we were technically within the date when we bought it, but these usually have an expiry date like a year out - so I tasted a pack and they were super-stale). I don't want to be worried about checking dates on everything I buy there. I realize I could probably return these items but that seems like a big hassle for ~$30. This new BJs is amazing - new, large, and lots of variety! I used to have a Bjs membership when we lived by Kernan Blvd in Jax but having one in SJC is great, especially gas! Membership was only $25 for the year, great price! The variety of named brand products, deals & sales, and cleanliness of BJs is what caught our attention. read more

The gas station there (St Johns FL) is set up poorly! One pump per island so even if there is open pumps, you wait your turn or you can pull into an open pump and drag the hose around your vehicle because "we have extra long hoses " I am not dragging a hose around my vehicle! Ridiculous! backed into an open pump and the attendant comes out and tells me to turn my vehicle around or he's canceling my fill. I said see ya later. Could have said "sir next time please point the other way but for this time please back out of the pump"! I will never be back. Other patrons were piping up saying "this set up is stupidity " "I'm not dragging a hose around my car". BJ's you need to rethink this read more

I really did enjoy this BJs. So much so I did not renew my Costco membership. However, I used the self checkout lane, I had 21 items, I did not realize I had 22 items, I thought I had less. Some girl who was running the absolutely empty self checkout lanes, mind you there are 20 of them open, I used one, leaving 19 open lanes, she decided to wait until I was done checking out all of my items, came up to me and lectured me on that I had 21 items, and continued to do so after one elderly couple came up to use one of the other 19 open self checkouts. The older couple was struggling but instead of helping them continued to lecture me. Well BJs I have cancelled my membership and did so before I left your store. I have been there and seen other people kindly direct people with large buggies full of items to a non self checkout lane. She was so excited to tell me what I had done wrong, she didn't care that she embarrassed me nor did she care about the older couple who needed help. I get it, 20 items, but to call me out, with only 21, was absolutely ridiculous. read more
