Been Costco member for over 25 years. This is by far the worst Costco I've ever been to. It's not the bad parking lot or the crowds that bother me. It's the constant angry unhelpful employees who are bothered by you being there in their line. Seems like they are hiring from a Popeyes or doing customer training from a Popeyes manual at this location. This isn't a one off either at least 75 percent of the time. Got Kirkland AA batteries on sale (It's Hurricane season peeps) for less than $11 and hopefully they last longer than the Energizer brand that I have been using. Lots of sales and selections to choose from, like picking up Rana Lasagna for a little over $10 and sure looks good. The staff is very helpful. The place is always clean, including the restroom. There is plenty of parking, but it can be challenging on the weekends. Heard over the years that they may have the Gas station at this location soon, which will definitely add more traffic at Gate Parkway. read more

I come to this place probably once a week. If you know, you know. Dollar 50 for a hotdog and a drink, low priced pizza slices, interesting other options, and so many fun things to look at. I've gotten to the point where if they don't sell it at Costco I probably don't need it. I'm a huge fan of the blue eggs and I think the prices are reasonable, about eight dollars for 18. The meat selections are always fresh, all of the cheeses and deli items are good, and sometimes you find some random things in there like Dubai chocolate which is just so fun. It was requested that I get the 3lb pumpkin pie so there I was in Costco. The parking lot here seems way crazier than the one in St. Augustine. Once inside it didn't seem like a complete madhouse. I was able to walk back to the back to the bakery to get the pie and they had a lot out. While in here I found out that my Walmart delivery order didn't have everything I needed for Thanksgiving so I picked up the missing items here: sparkling cider, gouda cheese, and coffee creamer. The prices were reasonable. The line was kinda long for the self-checkout but they had employees helping people check out. The person who helped me with the pie and 3 other items was so pleasant, he also wished me a Happy Thanksgiving, as did the employee checking the receipt. Maybe this place was not so bad. read more

I was accompanying my wife to Costco, we don't have a membership but we use their pharmacy. Today we were informed by the very rude greeter that only one of us is allowed to go inside to the pharmacy, not both of us, as we don't have a membership. My wife proceeded inside and I was forced to wait outside in the 93 degree heat. We have used their pharmacy many times and this is the first time this has happened. This is terrible customer service, I recommend avoiding this place if you can. read more

I ate here again, so I'll update my review. They changed the superior bun of the hot dogs since the last time I had one here. It's now ordinary. The hot dog tasted better than I remembered, however: excellent. Therefore I still recommend the hot dog and will get it again. The pizza slice was better than I remembered: really good, with a nice greasy taste. We got cheese pizza this time. I'd also get this again. Those two with a soda came to $3.75, and they're large (plenty for a meal for the two of us), so it was a remarkable value. I love Costco, but as a store it's fallen behind in technology. At Walmart I can see what aisle any item is in, and whether it's in stock. At their warehouse club, Sam's, I can scan my own items and walk out without wasting time checking out. Went to Costco to get a membership for the first time, tip- when returning merchandise or applying for a membership go through the exit not entrance and it will be on your right. I had an amazing experience with savanna and Arial. It was wildly busy and during all the hustle and bustle they managed everything very well and especially the rest of the team. Things slowed down and went quick from there, all the information they gave me was extremely valuable especially for the sales going on for the month of November. It can be pretty hectic and can become not a good experience for me personally so I'm going to try and go on down times when I figure that out but overall very friendly place and welcoming. My husband and I have been going to this Costco for years and one of the main reasons is their wine department. The two gentlemen, Phil and John that work there are amazing! Any time we are hosting an event or just picking something up for a casual dinner they always give us great suggestions. Their knowledge is so spot on and they've never steered us wrong. We highly recommend them if you're looking to pick something up. There's been countless times we've gone into Costco for other items (food, etc) but end up purchasing wine just because of conversations we've had with them. On December 1, I tried to order a printer, no matter what I did on my Apple phone or my computer, which is not Apple I could not get this to work call people and customer service code 2 or three numbers. Nobody seemed to wanna help me they said they had no technical support. I was really upset because it's a big company and I would think that they would have people out there. I was told you have no technical support in this company for a customer if they're having a problem on the Internet, putting in the sale for a product that says Internet only so I was told to me on the phone that they could not help me, but I could go into the store and someone there would help me put this order in. I went to the store store number 357 there I met a person her name was NARDA on her tag is said customer service supervisor I explained to her the problem I was having she looked at me she said let me see what I can do to help you. We went to the computer department. They couldn't get it to work at your 45 minutes to an hour she realized there was nothing we could do, but she promised me that she would get to the bottom of it and figure out what to do to get my printer ordered. The prom was on November 20. I was going to have surgery for cancer. I was concerned I wanted to save the money on the sale. It was $110 off. She gave me her phone number to the store also wrote down her name because I'm 70 years old and I have a hard time remembering things. She was very considerate and kind and she really went out of her way. We must've spent an hour and a half to two hours trying to figure things out. We tried every different way but loose and nothing seemed to work . The next day I called her back. When I call that number, someone answered, the phone asked me a few questions. I explained what was going on. They asked me to hold on for a few minutes and they would get her a few minutes later. She came on the phone and she asked me how things were going was I able to order my printer? I told her now is still doing the same thing so she said to me I'm gonna call 800 number and talk to someone in customer service and see if they can help you so she called back and left a message because I was not able to answer the phone. I was talking to my doctor so I called back and she answered the phone. She asked me hold on for a minute. She was very polite about it. I said no problem. She said she is going to call 800 number . After she called that number and explained everything that was going on she gave me the Number 800-774-2678 to call the woman that answered the phone. Her name was CLETA. This was amazing. It took me about 10 minutes to explain everything to her and so she asked me to do a few things on my phone then my computer and we couldn't get anything to work. This woman stayed on the phone with me for at least 45 minutes to an hour. She was not willing to give up. She was determined to help me get this printer ordered, knowing that I was gonna have surgery for cancer on May 20 and she knew how bad I wanted to get this printer before the surgery. So I could save money on the sale. If I had surgery on May 20, if anything went wrong, I might not make it back to order it after the sale was over, which is the end of May finally after all options were used up we decided the best thing to do was to sign out of my Costco app and then delete it then sign in under a different email once I did this the order went through very smoothly. I couldn't think that two people that made my life so much easier even though there was a lot of complication they didn't give up. I try to give her a Google review, but three4 seconds went by and there was no recording. Asked me to leave a review on how good she was so I decided that I needed to send a letter to corporate and let them know how these two employees went really out of their way to make sure that I was happy. Upon arriving to the register- OP#18 at 12:51pm with transaction #166..., the cashier was extremely rude. Honestly, I think this individual should not be taking care of customers. Perhaps, there is another duty better suited for this cashier. I am leaving this review and not providing the cashier name although it is clearly printed on the receipt, but rather I am providing COSTCO with enough identifying information so they can counsel/train/relocate this cashier. What can I say about Costco that hasn't already been said? On this particular trip we came in and wanted to stick to our list. Did that happen? Nope. Came in, we were greeted by a staff member. Looked around, it was packed full of new items. Everything was organized and laid out. Went to get some probiotics, which were on sale, score! Also bought some laundry detergent, a beach chair, razors, toilet paper, etc. We actually stuck to our list pretty well. For a Saturday it wasn't super crazy busy, which was nice. You might be asking. "Why in the world is someone doing a review about Costco?" Trust me, you'll want to sit through this. I mean Costco is great and all, but there are some things you need to know. Every Costco is a bit different, as expected. However, if you come here after find a TikTok or a Facebook reel of the newest must buys, then you may be misled. When watching tiktoks a lot of the recommendations are from the east coast (California and Washington) if you're waiting for many of those products or deals to come in, youll be waiting for around 2 months if it's something that will spread. (Usually thats shoes/clothing, and sometimes snacks) they dont carry a lot of Asian focused snacks. You have to order them online. I know I'm always looking for the konyakku diet drinks. Also, they dont have the sushi here yet (but i think that one of the spreaders). If youre seeing the Costco recommendations from the Midwest, youll get more of those deals here. It's interesting how were most similar to the midwest than the other coast. In comparison to the Costco in St. Augustine this Costco carries more Asian ethnic foods than Mexican, so shop carefully. There's also no gas station attached to this specific Costco whereas there is one in St. Augustine. BUT I'll say this store has a better seasonal variety! We all know that the rotisserie chicken is a staple at any Costco, and I'll say it is tood, but they tend to undercook it. So, dont forget to pop it in the oven for a little longer, but on the bright side, it's juicy! The hotdogs here don't come with a standard sesame bun, its a plain bun, but they recently started giving out individual small cup if onions, only if you ask. So, remember to ask! But, they may just ignore at rush hour, which happens a lot. It happens. Unfortunately, there's always a downside isn't there? I want to br honest. Desite my love for Costco, this one is a little difficult to shop at. At some Costcos if you're gifted a gift card you can still shop there without a membership. This is not one of those places, but the St. Augustine one allows it. As you can see with the lower reviews here, the service is quite bad too. I've definitely experienced something similar. If you buy something that happens to be expired, this store doesn't honor the Costco code and give you a refund. It was some packaged chicken and it was in my fridge for 2 days, and it had gone bad. Sadly, I couldn't do anything about it. This Costco also is VERY strict with cards. If your mom is sick and you need to get groceries for her, you can't come. I know some other Costco's understand if you come often enough. This isn't one of them. So, plan accordingly. But, I do want to end on a bright note. When my mother's fancy credit card rewards accidentally expired they were kind enough to make sure she could atill get at least half of the credit. So, that was very kind of them. read more

This is an older Costco location in town but it's conveniently located and the staff is pretty nice for the most part. I frequent this location so often that many of the staff greets me with familiarity. There's always a nice variety of products in rotation but I definitely recommend purchasing any seasonal items as they come out because those items tend to sell out quickly and most likely are not restocked. Of all the warehouse stores around (I'm also a member at some other ones), Costco is my favorite and I highly recommend considering becoming a member if you're not because it's really helpful to be able to purchase certain items in bulk and, of the warehouse stores, they seem to be the friendliest. read more

-100+ stars if possible, due to service animal discrimination. On a hot day of almost 100 degrees outside the door person (Garrett) has the audacity to tell me to leave my service animal in the car. This place doesn't allow service animals and discriminates towards the services provided by the animal since it doesn't reach their "requirements." Considering the fact that in the state of Florida has a hot beaming weather and I don't go anywhere without my pup I am completely in disbelief the behavior provided by this company. I will never shop here again and I am disgusted on how they treat walking in customers with medical needs. Not to mention she is a licensed service animal. read more

As a member of Costco this is not my favorite store to visit; mainly because of the traffic and crowds here. The town center area is horrible when it comes to traffic trying to get into and out of parking lots and navigate around everyone else. The store is also way packed with people everywhere in everyone's way; even me in the way of others. This store is nice and has all the Costco values I've come to expect; it is just hard to get any shopping done here. I prefer the less crowded Orange Park location, and look forward to the St. Johns location coming soon; really wish they'd build in Mandarin; so I didn't have to drive far to hit up Costco. read more

Went there for 3 items , ended up getting 4 . We went to The self checkout to be quick in and out and minimal Interaction with others. Once I'm set check out the cashier was very over bearing needing me to put my kids here and items there . NEWSFLASH ! If I go in self checkout , ask permission if I want my items scanned. In store has Great customer service. Love the freebie samples as you walk around the floor looking for the next best deal. Advise not to go on Saturday or Sundays. This location can become overly crowded and lines can form 5/6 carts deep. Cleanliness is always a priority Pricing of large bulk items are consumer friendly Displays are well organized and well staged A great place to shop and when we go we are good for at least 2-3 months on supplies and meats. Costco is a great place to shop if you like buying items in bulk or are shopping for a big family. This particular location is in a convenient location, right next to the St John's Town Center. There is plenty of parking but on busy days (especially the weekend) it is difficult to find parking spots near the entrance of the store. The store has a great selection of items, from large electronics to jewelry to fresh produce to meat. They have also brought back samples which were gone for a while due to COVID. Overall, shopping at this store is an enjoyable experience because there are many interesting items for sale. There is COVID policy in place that requires all customers to wear a mask OR a face shield. This isn't the best policy because a face shield without a mask is not great protection for an airborne virus. In general, most people we saw were wearing masks and very few were wearing face shields. All staff were wearing masks. Technically there is a social distancing policy but it was near impossible to maintain distance from other customers when I visited the store a few days before Christmas due to the sheer number of customers in the store at once. For this reason, it is advisable to visit the store on a weekday if possible. read more

COSTCO is not worth the time or money anymore.. Compare prices with a Super Walmart.. Walmart selection is better and prices are better, Bakery at COSTCO is terrible junk. Meat is extremely expensive, I don't need 12 pounds of ground beef, or 12 Rib eyes! Or 12 Mangos.. at Walmart I can buy the quantity I want, even one tomato. Plus the Walmart Brands are always excellent. I do like Kirkland 100% Italian Olive oil, which today was $28.00 for a 2 L, plastic bottle.. That's crazy. 3 English Cukes, $5.99, at Walmart, $1.00 ea.
