Two days before Christmas and we expected many people and a chaotic experience. But the staff were managing the crowd well and patrons were respectful maneuvering the aisles. Check out was very expeditious.

I come to this place probably once a week. If you know, you know. Dollar 50 for a hotdog and a drink, low priced pizza slices, interesting other options, and so many fun things to look at. I've gotten to the point where if they don't sell it at Costco I probably don't need it. I'm a huge fan of the blue eggs and I think the prices are reasonable, about eight dollars for 18. The meat selections are always fresh, all of the cheeses and deli items are good, and sometimes you find some random things in there like Dubai chocolate which is just so fun. I wander around and get my 10,000 steps and enjoy them. I'll see you guys in a few minutes!

I got the kids this trampoline after the 100th time they asked since they always go into Costco with me. It was well worth the price honestly. The kids love it and it get them outside. It seems to be pretty sturdy for only being a couple hundred bucks.

Best priced eggs I have found in the area. Their meat is a little on the higher end but good quality. The staff is helpful when it's not super busy. Best place to buy in bulk in my opinion

What can I say about Costco that hasn't already been said? On this particular trip we came in and wanted to stick to our list. Did that happen? Nope. Came in, we were greeted by a staff member. Looked around, it was packed full of new items. Everything was organized and laid out. Went to get some probiotics, which were on sale, score! Also bought some laundry detergent, a beach chair, razors, toilet paper, etc. We actually stuck to our list pretty well. For a Saturday it wasn't super crazy busy, which was nice. Went to self checkout and a staff member helped us. Pros: -variety of items -clean store -ample parking -friendly staff Cons: -my inability to stick to a list Tips: -get there early so you can avoid the crowds

Costco is the best. I appreciate that they continue to try to keep costs low, especially during these crazy times.

No so much because of poor customer service and there are some perks and good deals to be found. However, what hit me this year as a big problem is that it seems like many of the products and foods I regularly enjoyed at BJ's seemed to disappear from the shelves and most have never come back to this point. I visited BJ's in 2024 at least once a week and I was stunned when I found out how much I had contributed to their coffers over the year. But 2025 has been a much different experience. Now even at three stars, and I remain a member here, it is still very much worth visiting BJ's as good deals are still to be found. In fact, one day I just happened upon a needed hand truck to move large things at my home. I had chosen the Gorilla brand at Home Depot, but I felt it was too big and clunky for my needs. But when I found the Cosco brand at BJ's, it was all over. The sleeker hand truck won over the monster Gorilla cart, so I got my refund on the Home Depot purchase. This Cosco hand truck has been perfect (it's in my photos of BJ's) and I highly recommend it. Also, you can save a good amount of money here if you regularly check the app for coupons. I've saved a well here so I won't complain about that. On the personal side, BJ's size and aisles make a very good track for store walking to fill my 30 minute exercise on my Apple Watch, especially on hot JAX days! I have Publix and Dillards on that list too! LOL! I could talk more about the products I like here, but it's about getting wholesale discounts on stuff you like. Just make sure you're using the coupons on the app or in the weekly mailout (these are in the store too). You'll do even better if you do. I like BJ's still. There have been renovations over the year that I believe affected product acquisition. I do hope 2026 is better - if so, the star level will rise! Recommendation: MEDIUM (for now)

I hope our local Costco gets gas soon (they're trying to, if the government will let them). Sam's has their wonderful scan and go, so you don't have to wait in a checkout line. The crowds and wait to checkout are perhaps the greatest weakness of Costco. Sam's also has curbside pickup, which Costco doesn't. Unlike Walmart, Sam's app doesn't show you what aisle something is an, and whether it's in stock (Costco doesn't either). The only food I've had at Sam's was the pizza. It was decent, but too bready. We prefer Costco's, and Costco's larger pizza costs less per area. It's always quick eating at Costco's cafe, but at Sam's there was a line. I ordered a slice of pizza in the app and went to the pickup area. I noticed the app said they were preparing it, so I went to sit. But they got slices for people in the line, but not me, so I finally went up to the pickup counter and eventually someone took notice of me and got my order. So Costco wins hands down for speed and ease of cafe orders. I just like Costco more. It's definitely more upscale. I think the lighting is better: I just find Sam's a bit depressing. Sam's is undoubtedly cheaper on the whole. Costco has a better reputation for the quality of things like their bakery and meats. I'm not sure if I'll continue my Sam's membership.

Gordon's is similar but weaker by my opinion in some regards. However, it does have strengths which make it worth a visit. For non-restaurant folks, the biggest draw likely will be the frozen food section which includes a vast variety of frozen seafood and meat to cook and also ready-prepared dishes ranging from mashed taters to whole cakes. Remember, this is restaurant supply, so whole cakes and cheesecakes (which when sliced likely are passed off at many a restaurant as "our chef's own creation" by drizzling some caramel sauce across them). For those who don't know, cheesecakes especially freeze *just fine* and thaw out *just fine* and a frozen one of quality can be just as good as a made-from-scratch one. There were frozen dishes like stuffed bell peppers which interested me but again, restaurant portions so I didn't need like a flat of 20 stuffed peppers and didn't buy them. If I had a half-empty chest freezer and less restraint however I'd easily have scooped up all kinds of stuff like this. Some items are name brands, some their own Gordon brand, some brands I'd not heard of but may be big in food service--I don't know. Beyond the frozen goods, they have things like large quanities of BBQ sauce, tomato paste, and pasta--again, aimed at restaurants. They also have a lot of Monin coffee syrups which is very cool though their prices are a few dollars more than TJ Maxx but the catch is, you never know which Monin syrups any given TJ Maxx will have any given day but here their stock seems stable. While they have all manner of disposable catering goods (foil trays, plastic to-go boxes) they don't have much if any durable table service like restaurant glasses and cups. Nor any kitchen knives it seems. The store in Charleston I mentioned had a great selection of these things so that was disappointing. Service was fine. I didn't need help, my friend has shopped here before and guided me around. The lady at check-out was friendly enough. I'd recommend visiting Gordon's and seeing what they have: look carefully, *a lot* is packed in there, especially the frozen section. If you have a large family and a chest freezer (or two or three) you probably can play your cards right and really save money here.

When I arrived to pick it up, the car would not start, which has never been an issue before. Again, I was told, "That's strange, it started when I drove it this morning." While driving the car home--less than 10 minutes from the shop--the vehicle began producing heavy white smoke, which I later learned indicates a blown head gasket. My car was returned to me in much worse condition than when I brought it in.
