I went here with my family a few weeks ago and we had we had a horrible experience. We went to Find groceries and keep in mind. We went through a register with a cashier and then and then the cashier scanned the beans twice, but didn't scan the eggs at all so then when we went to leave the racist person at the door, they keep in mind we're not doing this to anybody else only us and by the way we're Hispanic so yeah, and then they were counting every single item we had in the cart and then when they realize that the eggs were not scanned, they made us go back to customer service and would not let us leave over a dollar. We had a horrible experience and we will not be returning to this racist establishment. do better. read more

I moved to East Stroudsburg 6 months ago. We've been going to the Stroudsburg BJs which is about 5 miles from our house. We have a BJs membership from when we lived in NJ. We frequented the BJs in Riverdale and Wayne, NJ, both of which are bigger than Stroudsburg. The Stroudsburg BJs seems to be a bit dated and needs an upgrade--including a tire center. I've been finding myself traveling to the closest COSTCO store, in Wharton, NJ, which is about 33 miles from where we live, and sometimes go to the COSTCO in Allendale, PA (37 miles). If I want tires from BJs, I have to travel to Ledgewood, NJ (27 miles), which is the closest BJs, to get my tires serviced. The Stroudsburg BJs used to have different washing machine soaps and Shout laundry stain remover, but doesn't carry these items anymore. I have to travel to COSTCO to get them. I'm a little disappointed in the Stroudsburg BJs, but it seems nothing will change because they have a "captive audience". Time to do my shopping elsewhere. read more

Our family has a membership at this BJ's and we shop here almost every week. Their prices are fair and they have tons of coupons in their circular that make their prices well worth the cost of membership. The store is well kept and they have quality stock. Members can also get gas here at a discounted rate which is a nice perk. read more

The food selections and house brands are good. In many cases the pricing is better than the local supermarket but the large package sizes are a trade off. read more

I just left BJ's looking for toilet tissue. The sign above toilet paper stated 2 packs per customer. An employee on duty has three bundles of tissue in Cart paying for them. I ask don't your sign posted state 2 bundles per customer? The lady at customer service ringing it up states "it is two orders" . Really one person two orders!!' BJ's corporate look into this matter and get it corrected immediately. I'm your customer and was unable to purchase toilet tissue do your your staff inappropriate action. I've been going to the BJ's for a few months now accompanied by my non verbal 6 yr old autistic son. He has this thing with paper that I pick up after. One of the employees was like "HEY GIVE ME THAT DON'T RIP IT" and I responded that is my child and you address me and I am picking it up. That passed. Ok, I went 2 weeks ago and they were giving candy samples and my child wanted a chocolate and then another and the lady said "ONE! WITH AN ATTITUDE" My child doesn't understand this and goes around to get another chocolate and I go towards him. The server literally had her hands on my child for a damn chocolate. I lost it. I grabbed her arm and told her not to touch my son. I then complained to the manager and she gave me a BS excuse saying "not to justify her, but some kids take candy and run" WHAT!? And just in case anyone is wondering my child does not leave my side at all he's not a flight risk. read more

As wholesale clubs go it rates above the Sam's but way below Costco. At least in my book. This particular club isn't the largest of the ones I've visited but it is closest to home. I have used it on multiple occasions for various things and the selection is pretty nice but IMHO it could be improved though I am not sure the owners would agree. When we first moved it the club used to have a better selection of detergents such as Cheer, Dreft, and Cascade Lemon gel but i haven't seen it around for awhile. Save from that it's a very nice club with selection of stuff I need if I have to buy something in bulk but that rarely happens any more so my visits are not only occasional. read more

I went to ask about a coupon on my bj online coupons i was trying to show them there was two with the same date and what i got was i can't do nothing the computer is telling me is already on your sale and i was showing them it is two different ones and the male manager was saying i can't do anything.. but he fail to realize i ran a mall and yes you can try to fix it even with a written information so he won't be short and you helped with customer care. BJ's is like most other wholesale clubs. Members pay a yearly fee and are then allowed access to discounted prices on bulk items. This is a wonderful idea if you have a business or a large family, and can still be useful for small families who have steady dietary needs. One thing I truly like about this location is that they have a deli counter. The line is long, but the meat and cheese are a nice quality, and the prices are wonderful. The deli also makes platters, using their quality products. The platters I purchased were huge, and the staff was able to substitute a meat that was not to our taste for something we preferred. I do not live near this location, but my mother does. Even as a single woman, she finds enough here to justify the cost of the membership. From coffee pods to deli items to fresh vegetables, I am always happy to stop in with her and find a bargain. read more

If you want a fuller selection, travel down Route 33 to Route 22 and exit around the Airport, that is the fuller format. This is a trimmed down location, you have reduced selection of items but non the less, the essentials are there. However, if you want clothing, shoes and other apparels, you must head down to the Allentown Location. Still, regardless, a fairly organized and simple location, despite lack of items, it's non the less acceptable for the area. Though I do hope they eventually carry a fuller format as it'll attract me to stop in more often. Still, a location that has a big potentials. Oh, and tell the Johnson Air Circulation System neighboring the Bakery I said Hi, not that it matters or anything. read more

Bj's is the place to go whenever you need bulk of item and food. I normally come here to buy the basic; mozzarella cheese, Prego sauce, pasta, ice tea drink, pizza and more things. They always have sample days which let's you test a few products. Which I find to be helpful. Just remember your bill will be higher but you're getting a bigger quantity. read more

We ordered our son's birthday cake from here a week ago, and picked it up yesterday 2/16. It was absolutely delicious, and beautiful looking and it was SO cheap! It was only 24 dollars for a 1/2 sheet of cake. This cake would've easily costed 50+ dollars anywhere else. It was again, DELICIOUS, and STUNNING! This BJs does not have pleasant staff. I went to "customer service" several weeks ago, and the employees were having a conversation with each other as I stood there waiting. After they came around to try helping me, they still continued their conversation. Today, they refused to accept coupons which adhered to their policy. I asked a manager to come over, and he also did not know the company's policy. I was still talking about what the policy is on the website, and he turned his back to me and didn't say another word. Very rude, especially to someone who has paid to have a membership at a store such as this. My last concern regarding this store is their lack of products. I have looked for multiple products featured in the monthly coupon book, which are not offered at this location. read more

I'm not writing this review about the store I'm writing it about their management. I went to apply for a job got the interview was super excited got there and the gentleman asked me to wait down stairs well he went up after a few mins came down and told me I could go up. I went up went into the room he told me to where there was several other employees. Then a women stood up and asked me to follow them to the other room where she took nothing with her none of my paper work. I get into the room and she right away looks me up and down in a judgemental way. She then tells me they have a policy where you can't have extreme colored hair ( mine was purple) I just I totally understand I will most definitely change the color if I get the job. Then she tells me that I can't have my piercings which again I'm fine with taking them out. Finally she hits me with it " ok so do all that and then call us back for a new interview" I'm sorry no it shouldn't matter what my hair color is or if I have a few piercings my work ethic is me no matter what I look like. BJ's is A-OK and does a good job at offering bulk items to the local Poconos crowd. I don't fancy it as much as Costco, but when in Rome...

Friendly staff. Staff member's son who is also an employee there loaded cases of water in my car. Very polite.

Your buying a membership just to pay more for things you can get anywhere else cheaper.....they trick you with larger packages ..but when you break it down by ounces of price per item it is way,way,way more expensive.....I couldn't find one item that was cheaper than my regular store or Amazon... read more
