I recently changed my membership to Military but could not link my app with the membership to shop. I sent an email to customer service and it took 4 follow up emails and 6 days for them to respond only to tell me I had to call an 800 number for help. After spending 45 frustrating minutes and changing my password and it still wouldn't except it. Then I was told to leave it and try again later! So I tried the next day and it finally worked. It is hard to believe the low ratings in this place. I had an excellent experience at BJ's in Tilton. I had to do some errands in the area, and instead of going to the BJs in Lebanon, New Hampshire, I took advantage of the situation and made my pick up and express pay purchases at the BJs in Tilton. The store is a fairly good size BJs, and it is more tightly packed than other BJs. I have frequent it. A little different arrangement from what I was used to in the Lebanon store. I came over here at around 11 AM, and there were no crowds . In addition, once i made my express pay purchase and picked up my online purchase, I had no problem going through the exit procedures, which, with the pick up feature, is now a lot simpler as the clerk only checks if few items that are apparently told by an algorithm. It was really good to have saved $40 in online coupons that I didn't have to manually clip or store. A really good visit, I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. read more

On a previous visit I had clipped a dozen or so online coupons as the item's shelf tag stated to do to get a discounted price. That in itself is not easy to do scrolling through 100+ items on my iPhone to find the items. Not paying attention until I got home, I noticed on the receipt that none of the on-line coupons were applied. But I let it go....that time! Today I go to the store and as I'm going around, the item's shelf tag tells me to do the same thing...clip the on-line coupon to get the discounted price. So I scroll through 212 items to find the several items that have coupons and clip away. At the checkout the same thing happens, no coupon credits. After going around with the cashier who's trying to figure out why it's not working, she and I go to the service desk. The clerk at the service desk informs us you can click the coupons in the store, but it takes some time for the coupons to hit your BJ's membership. She stated it can take15-20 minutes. Thinking we just wasted 30 minutes, the cashier and I go back to the register, she voids the entire order and re-enters it. But again no coupons. Not only is this false advertising, but ripe for a class action law suit! The service desk clerk expressed her frustration with a promo they have going right now where if you buy 4 specific items in the store, you get 75 cents per gallon off outside. She said nowhere is it say on the promo that it is not immediate or give a time-frame. Glad I did not fall for that one! I received an email yesterday telling me my membership is up for renewal in 30 days. Needless to say i will no longer be playing BJ's silly coupon game. Costco is a little further drive, but at least i know i am getting a good price without having to clip coupons that don't work. read more

BJ's is close to a half hour away from us so when we go we stock up for a few weeks. The Tilton building is a good size, especially for the area, and carries everything a family could need. We purchase everything from paper goods to nice cuts of meats there. Love to buy things in bulk and then supplement as needed at our local grocery store for other things. This BJ's is very clean, well organized, always well stocked and easy to navigate. The variety offered is substantial and there are always sales. We especially like to purchase fish and chicken that are individually frozen and packaged. Great for when there are only 2 of you at home. Seasonal items, such as beautiful plants in the spring and summer, are available at prices that can't be beat! If you can buy in bulk and have enough storage space and/or freezer space BJ's membership is more than worth the cost! read more

Worst tire experience ever. Three issues for my Toyota Camry. The car has a light colored leather. Just pulling the car in and out of the bay the driver seat ended up filthy. I had to use simple green to get it clean. Two, my tire sensors would not reset and activated 20 miles down the road. I thought I had a tire going flat and white knuckled it the rest of the way home. Three, there's a shake now at highway speeds. I am back now and the tire side is staffed with one guy. So every customer that walks in is a big delay while I wait to see what he can do for me. Had a great experience getting tires. Stopped by so they could see what was needed and they ordered them. Arrived a few minutes early for our appointment (first of the day) and they took us right away. Job was completed in the time they said it would be. An overall positive experience! read more

The staff are helpful and friendly. I usually do a grocery pick up and it comes out quickly and correctly.

Very poorly run- management personnel invisible or non-existent. So-called trainer supposedly training a new cashier was unable to input an expensive meat item because bar code was illegible and he did not know how to accomplish the task. Was sent to the so-called customer service desk to get a "new, updated" membership card (why I needed this never explained)- 2 women behind the counter supposedly helping others- no management in evidence- after never acknowledging my presence and continuing to work at the pace of slow molasses, I left the store without over $300 worth of goods I had intended to purchase. It is too bad there is no Costco nearby. read more

i wouldn't shop there again ever i tried to get propane so i wouldn't get stranded without heat on the record breaking cold in nh ever i was told that it was to cold for him to do the hundred pound cylinder. i had just watched someone leave with six twenty pounders sad i woke up and it was negative twenty one without wind and no gas. thanks for read more

I don't know why I do this. Went to the Tire center to replace 4 tires. They have a big announcement in the waiting room - "we check the Tire Pressure Monitor Transmitters BEFORE we change tires". I went in with all 4 of them measuring pressure just fine. After new tire installation there was no tire pressure reading on my screen, and sure enough the tire pressure light came on in 30 miles. I went back a second time and the technician reset it after having some issues with one of the back tire transmitters, telling me they would replace the transmitter if the problem returned - it did. Went back a third time and the know-everything Manager reset it again and asked that he be thanked. I went to the pressure reading screen and he told me not to do that, so I told him I couldn't really thank him either, since the light would come in in the next 50 miles. Sure enough 50 miles later the same light. I then I called the same Manager. He said there's nothing he could do despite the fact that I went in with 4 fully functioning transmitters - and they verified it themselves before the new tire installation happened. I went to my mechanic and $120 got me a replaced transmitter - and yes, on the same back tire that they got in-and-out readings from. Thanks guys, great job. Way to stand behind your service! Much appreciated. Try not to break any more pressure transmitters and pawn it off on the customer to fix. read more

Thieves and scumbags abound at this Tilton location. I was loading a large item onto a cart and set my iPhone down on the display. I got on the road and realized so I turned around and went back to the spot I left it but it was gone. Called the phone and went right to voice mail so I knew some scumbag thief had turned it off so I couldn't track them. Think twice before using this BJ's, but if you do be on alert. BJ's security wasn't very helpful, telling me I had to wait 3 days before anyone could look into the security camera data. Time to join Costco I guess. read more

Was looking for a bed frame. Called and was told they had 14 in stock. When I got there I looked in the mattress area and didn't see any. I asked a male employee who pointed under the bottom shelf and said they are under there. Didn't offer to help and stood and watched me climb under the shelf, pull one out and lift it into my carriage...... then said " want any help?" I am a 64 year old female, in fairly good shape, but wow...... wonder what this guy is getting paid for. Amazing. read more

I'm was staying in Sanbornton NH, as a visitor and needed a place to buy some groceries for a weeks stay. I shop at Bj's all the time back in New Jersey and love it. This store was clean, well laid out, organized and not chaotic. They had a great selection of all products and were in stock. The staff was friendly and helpful. I have a bjs membership and go to different stores and for the most part they are all pretty similar except I've noticed at this one the staff can be horrid, check out lady is half asleep and keeps calling other workers over because she couldn't seem to handle checking me out , she finally finished and just told me the price which mind you is over 800 dollars so I pay it and she doesn't even say thank you:/ i don't know I just really like a polite response when I'm doing business with anyone . Then as I walk away the person behind me started putting their things up and she just said I'm closed little did they no it was a blessing in disguise but she did not apologize or greet them or anything all she said to us was can I have tour bjs membership card , no please or anything ugh. THEN , it's not over yet , on my way out I'm carrying a tv out and my daughter is pushing the cart behind me and the man at the door says I need your receipt so I'm like oh I just put it away one second and he says well I still need it so I'm like ok well I have to put the tv down first and he said yah put it right there so I put it down open my purse and get the receipt for him to look over and again no thank you or anything or even goodbye , he just hands it back to me and offers no help as I then have to pick up the tv off the ground and my daughter pushes the cart behind me . I haven't been back since ( also this isn't bjs fault but just a reminder to make sure if you get a vitamin bottle check the seal because I got one here and it was open , so scary .. but they did take it back and give me a different one :) ) read more

My 90 year father called and got an appointment to get his tires rotated. He went at the assigned time. They told him they didn't have him on the schedule, gave him a hard time about having to look up a bill to prove he could get the rotation done and said they were waiting on an appointment to come in (who was late) so they couldn't take him for an hour and a half. The tire guy was so rude he felt it best to just walk away. He greatly wishes there was a Costco in the area. read more

BJ's Tire in Tilton NH repaired a hole in my tire for $9.50!! I was on my way to the airport and must have run over something. The guy said he could work on it immediately, and it took him 30 minutes, just like he said it would. (They don't plug tires, they only repair them properly). We first went to another place on that exit where they said there would be a 1 hr wait (which would have made me miss my flight) so BJ's really saved me! read more

I had tires put on at a different BJs location closer to my house and had to make a last minute appointment here 3 weeks later due to a popped tire (gotta love New Hampshire roads). I called the tire center and set up an appointment without a problem. I made the appointment for 11 and showed up early around 10:30 and explained the situation. There was only one attendant working behind the counter that day (who I later found out was the head/manager of the tire department), and he didn't seem to care at all. He spoke in a monotone voice to me the entire time and didn't show any facial expression to me whatsoever (call me old-fashioned, asking for "service with a smile"), which was mildly annoying but I shook it off. I brought in the tire like he'd asked me to and he took it into the garage for inspection. It turned out someone threw a pair of tweezers onto the road for whatever reason and it got lodged into my tire. He told me this would not be possible to plug, the tire would need to be replaced (and I would be charged), and he wouldn't be able to order one until the following day (Monday). I told him this wouldn't be possible, as I had to drive back home to Connecticut that day. He responded with something that essentially said "that sucks." When asked why he couldn't plug it he informed me the plug would be too small to plug the hole. The hole was tiny!!! He called around to other stores and found that the closest store that had the tire would be in Haverhill. My girlfriend and I were recommended to drive 55 miles down to the Haverhill location on a donut, and the manager there plugged it up and re-mounted the tire in 35 minutes...FREE. The associates at the Haverhill location (much friendlier, mind you) showed me the plug and thought the guy in Tilton was insane for not having the ability to plug the tire. To make a long story short, the service elsewhere in this store may be good, but I would advise avoiding this tire center at all costs. read more
