This is one of my favorite places to come to, and I've been coming to Brooklyn Bland for years. My favorite things to get are the shrimp salad, the shrimp burger, and an array of patties. I love how everything is so fresh and healthy, but in a way it doesn't take away from the essence of the community. The service is always 10 out of 10 regardless what location I go to. With the turkey bacon and omelette (get their pepper sauce!) the meal's a great deal too. They offer coffee au lait no extra charge and the drip brew is smooth and delicious. They have infused water, usually cucumber. The kitchen, register, smoothie bar, etc. is well-organized, efficient, well-staffed; this cafe is highly and regularly trafficked for good reason. You can order at the kiosk or cashier and they will get you in and out. If you want to stay a while there's lots of seating, nice wooden tables, bar chairs, big windows, outlets, and great interior design with big windows and exposed rafters. Being that I've lived in ENY most of my life, having this spot located at the heart of the East is a beautiful thing. The food was good and satisfying. My only issue was the salmon burger (the salmon) was overcooked - a little on the blackened side. I didn't enjoy it as much as the salmon burger I had at the Bed Stuy location. Still good but not as good. I will definitely be back. I would love to try something else from the menu but the Park Slope Salad was a no for me. I ordered the salmon as medium well so I wasn't expecting a moist piece of salmon, but I didn't expect it to smell like burnt trees lol. I wanted to give them to benefit of the doubt so I called... the person on the phone was nice and told me they hickory smoke the salmon. I suggested specifying that on the menu because had I known I would have ordered something different next time. Honestly, the salmon was really bitter and it tasted like tree bark, I literally couldn't eat it. So I went on to do some research about hickory smoke and I saw that if you smoke the salmon too long it can become inedible. Maybe this was just one bad batch... but I'm sorry I had to give you 2 stars for now because I wasted $14+ dollars but I did eat the greens and the strawberry vinaigrette was good lol. It's perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious every time. I recently tried the falafel wrap and wow (!!) it was sooo good. I'm not even a huge wrap fan but this was amazing. It was hot out so when I saw that BKLYN Blend had smoothies figured it would be a better substitute. I couldn't make my own smoothie (pick ingredients) that was a bit of a bummer. I appreciate the employee making the drinks though. I had forgotten to mention my cashew allergy when I ordered. The drink I picked didn't have cashews but a lot of items on the menu did. I mentioned this to the one preparing my smoothie and she let me know they clean everything between use. Gave me piece of mind.
