This is one of my favorite places to come to, and I've been coming to Brooklyn Bland for years. My favorite things to get are the shrimp salad, the shrimp burger, and an array of patties. I love how everything is so fresh and healthy, but in a way it doesn't take away from the essence of the community. The service is always 10 out of 10 regardless what location I go to. The ambience is very clean welcoming I will also say that I think this will be a good place to work from as well doesn't really ever get too busy throughout the day so definitely check it out if you can. read more

I really enjoyed Brooklyn blend. The atmosphere of the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. I enjoy there smoothies . They also used to sell these Jamaican patties that were so good. Don't know if they still sell them as it's been a while since I've gone, the only thing that I do not like about this place is their pricing. It's a little on the expensive side, but also at the same time it does pay to be healthy. The salads are good, but again they're a little bland for me and they're overly priced. I understand that everything is made by real fruits and vegetables which is why the price is the price but again you're in an area surrounded by low income families. read more

My wife and I tried their salmon sandwich, chicken sandwich and the Brooklyn nets shake which was very delicious. The sandwiches was juicy, the buns was very soft. The restaurant is very clean with very nice decor. Staff was very professional, respectful and welcoming. I highly recommend this restaurant a very healthier option and affordable alternative to the fast food we have around this area. We need to support and keep them open. read more

The Reu-blend was sooo good, I wasn't the biggest fan of the Russian sauce but it was still very good. The sauerkraut was also good, fried egg was a good addition on my end (need protein). Service is great & everyone is so nice & helpful, I appreciate the baristas. Also very quiet & quaint, whoever's on aux is great & the space is very pretty, clean & home-y almost. Returned for breakfast after getting an excellent matcha last week. Five stars isn't enough for BRKLYN BLEND. The spinach waffles are hearty, crisp, not too sweet, just what you'd expect and want. With the turkey bacon and omelette (get their pepper sauce!) the meal's a great deal too. They offer coffee au lait no extra charge and the drip brew is smooth and delicious. They have infused water, usually cucumber. The kitchen, register, smoothie bar, etc. is well-organized, efficient, well-staffed; this cafe is highly and regularly trafficked for good reason. You can order at the kiosk or cashier and they will get you in and out. If you want to stay a while there's lots of seating, nice wooden tables, bar chairs, big windows, outlets, and great interior design with big windows and exposed rafters. The big painting of New Lots is cool too. Will be back for their smoothies and coffee. read more

The food is fresh and flavorful. The service is great. I visit Blend often while on my lunch break. It's hey bring a healthy option to the neighborhood where there's not much to choose from. It is kind of small inside so if you're in a hurry you should order well in advance because it gets crowded and sometimes backed up. It has a cute lil coffee shop vibe when you go in. BKLYN Blend has a pretty solid selection of (pretty) healthy food and drinks is for everyone. I've ordered from here multiple times including their coffee and their "Marine Park" smoothie. I particularly liked their smoothie- it was a really nice combination of soursop, seamoss, pumpkin seeds, vanilla, and agave. All in all, I would order takeout again/visit this place if I'm in the area. read more

Being that I've lived in ENY most of my life, having this spot located at the heart of the East is a beautiful thing. My sister said that the food and mixed drinks are always good but I only had their coffee. Fun fact, the way a place brews says a lot about the spot...this place can brew coffee. Service: shout out to the folks at the front who immediately greeted me with a smile when I walked in and were ready to take my order. I really appreciate genuine and professional service and they showed it from start to finish. Ambiance: I'm sooooo obsessed with how cute and cozy this spot is. It isn't too big but it's big enough to grab a seat to read a book or do some work-it welcomes either. Beverage: as mentioned, I only ordered coffee with almond milk and let's just say that their coffee was brewed with love! It was rich and nutty (coffee lovers know what this means) that is simply an indication that the coffee was fresh brewed and that the taste of the coffee provided a beautiful balance with no burnt aftertaste. I support good coffee in the morning! Or throughout the day lol Overall, if I still lived in the state, I would be here a lot because it's not the first time that I've heard about how good this place is and that the food is excellent. Love this place, the food, and the fact that it is in my neighborhood. However, needs to organize customer service better, stock more best sellers (Kale, Pumpkin patties) and get 2 juicing machines. I work all over Brooklyn and I am so happy to have found a place in Livonia Ave. that I can return to again and again. The service was very friendly. Bordering on delightful. I had a latte that was excellent. I came back for lunch and had the Fountain Ave. Falafel which was delicious. It had pineapple which I had never had with falafel but it was a great addition. And the space is beautiful. Warm and inviting and modern. And comfortable. Highly recommend. read more

I pass this place all the time taking my kids to school. I decided to stop in today, let's say I did not regret it. The place is decorated nicely, they have games you can play and ample seating. The service was great and fast! Now let's get to this food. I have the Dekalb sandwich, it was made to perfection ok! I also had the Bedstuy beet juice, also made to perfection. Needless to say I will be back to try more things for sure... not to mention they also have an awards plan. read more

So the day before I tried the other location. This location is great as well. Also when you check in on Yelp you get a few smoothie. Again everyone was pleasant and knew the menu well. The food was good and satisfying. My only issue was the salmon burger (the salmon) was overcooked - a little on the blackened side. I didn't enjoy it as much as the salmon burger I had at the Bed Stuy location. Still good but not as good. I will definitely be back. Always refreshing! From the smoothies to the juices to the sandwiches, I've never been disappointed. The Turkey pastrami sandwich is my favorite. I haven't tried a salad yet but I plan to soon. So happy to have stumbled on this place. Great selection of drinks. I had the Pops Special which was the most filling smoothie I've ever had. I also ordered the kale patty which was good and fresh. The staff were very friendly. Location is also super clean and they have a cute wine selection. I took off one star because they were out of protein powder, many of the patties, and wouldn't honor the yelp check-in promotion of one free shake. Let me start off by saying I truly love this establishment! Everytime I come in the staff are in good spirits and upbeat. Not to mention, super helpful and patient! They have never made me feel rushed to order or anything. The music in there is always good and it's just a positive energy environment. Whenever I visit I get the same two drinks! The Bed-Stuy beet and Greenwood Mango. I absolutely LOVEEEEEE them. I highly recommend Brooklyn Blend for anyone who is looking to try healthy juices and smoothies. I would love to try something else from the menu but the Park Slope Salad was a no for me. I ordered the salmon as medium well so I wasn't expecting a moist piece of salmon, but I didn't expect it to smell like burnt trees lol. I wanted to give them to benefit of the doubt so I called... the person on the phone was nice and told me they hickory smoke the salmon. I suggested specifying that on the menu because had I known I would have ordered something different next time. Honestly, the salmon was really bitter and it tasted like tree bark, I literally couldn't eat it. So I went on to do some research about hickory smoke and I saw that if you smoke the salmon too long it can become inedible. Maybe this was just one bad batch... but I'm sorry I had to give you 2 stars for now because I wasted $14+ dollars but I did eat the greens and the strawberry vinaigrette was good lol. I will retry something else like a juice or different protein because I want to support your business! read more

So so good! I've ordered here multiple times for breakfast and lunch.. never disappointed! Their French toast is some of the best I've ever tasted. It's perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious every time. I recently tried the falafel wrap and wow (!!) it was sooo good. I'm not even a huge wrap fan but this was amazing. I've never thought to put pineapple with falafel but it was a game changer. I have yet to visit the store in person but it's on my list! Highly recommend this place!! read more

The sign in the door says closed at 7pm. This location is consistently closed at 6:45. For someone rushing from the gym and work to get food from this location it's very inconvenient and frustrating to see the establishment closed before the time stated. If you're going to be closed at 6:45 why not just say that? 3 times I've arrived by 6:45pm thinking I just made it and the place is already closed!!! read more

I usually go for cupcakes when I'm craving something sweet but there weren't any good spots I can find near by. It was hot out so when I saw that BKLYN Blend had smoothies figured it would be a better substitute. I couldn't make my own smoothie (pick ingredients) that was a bit of a bummer. I appreciate the employee making the drinks though. I had forgotten to mention my cashew allergy when I ordered. The drink I picked didn't have cashews but a lot of items on the menu did. I mentioned this to the one preparing my smoothie and she let me know they clean everything between use. Gave me piece of mind. Didn't swell up so that means they do a great job preventing cross contamination. read more

Go early if you don't want them to sell out of anything or purposely go a little later if you want one of their lunch sandwiches on focaccia. I have had the tomato and garlic focaccia twice now and each time it has been exceptional. Minor critique, the slices of garlic could be a bit smaller. I also had the shakshuka focaccia which is divine and I would absolutely recommend both. I need to come back to try their sandwiches as well. I am not a sweets person, but everyone I know loves their pastries. Getting someone a gif tcard here makes for a great gift.

As soon as my friend arrived, we ordered a 1/2 dozen West Coast oysters, which were not on the happy hour menu, and several dozens of the HH East Coast oysters. Our server did an excellent job explaining the origin of the oysters as well as the specials of the day. The West Coast oysters were Kumamoto (California), while the East Coast selection were called Bad Boys (from Nova Scotia, Canada). Normally I'm a big fan of West coast oysters, but the Bad Boys were delicious! They were plump with a bold ocean brine & crisp finish. My friend also ordered a cup of clam chowder, which he thoroughly enjoyed. One of the best oyster HH spots I've come across, because it seems to be harder finding good ones lately. Would definitely come back to try the other seafood dishes.

My patties and smoothie came out in about 10 minutes, and my niece received her pastry when we paid. The acai bowl took quite a long time, but I did notice that it was advertised as being new on their menu. The gentleman that took our order was literally the only one in the cafe, and quite a line formed after we got settled, so power to him! If you walk to the back of the cafe, you will see a door that says the patio is open, and it was a lovely area to sit at. It was hilarious to hear a rooster nearby, feeling just like the islands. The pumpkin spice patty was delicious, but the oxtail patty stole the show. It was also a Haitian style patty, so it was nice to have that since it's so rare for me. My shake had peanut butter and protein in it, so it was heavy, but it was so yummy. My niece liked her pastry and her soluble, although there was some unblended acai in there. They'll get it right. The place was almost closing, but I decided to give it a try since there weren't many people around. I learned that Twisted Roots is Haitian-owned, which I appreciated for its cultural diversity. The staff shared that they've been in business for eight years and were the first juice bar in Canarsie. If that's true, it's impressive considering how many healthier options have popped up in the area since. Being pioneers in this kind of business is no small feat. I ordered an açaí bowl, which took around 10 minutes to prepare, even though I was the only customer. It's hard to say why--maybe they were prepping or taking their time to get it right. When it finally arrived, I could see the effort they put into it. The bowl was loaded with toppings--bananas, strawberries, blueberries, pineapple, pears, shredded coconut, Nutella, and honey. It was a very generous serving and probably weighed close to a pound. The taste was fresh and fruity, like eating a refreshing fruit salad. That said, I do prefer my açaí bowls with a frozen base. This one was more on the watery side, which made it less satisfying in terms of texture. But for $11, it's hard to complain about the value--it was definitely packed with fresh fruits, unlike some places that charge more for a lot less. The setting of the café is functional but unusual. There aren't many places to sit, aside from a few stools and chairs. It feels more like a grab-and-go spot than somewhere you'd sit and relax. If you're planning to eat there, you might end up outside by the bus stop, especially during the warmer months. I think the establishment would benefit from a redesign to make the space more welcoming and improve the overall vibe. As for the customer service, it was friendly and attentive. Even before I mentioned that I was a Yelp reviewer, the staff encouraged me to leave a review and follow them on social media.
