I found myself in Bushwick this past Sunday and was absolutely ecstatic to discover that Cafe Pri was actually open! Not only were they one of the only cafes and dining options open in the neighborhood, they are also happen to be one of the best! The owners and staff are so genuinely nice and down the earth. Not only is the service incredible but so is the food! I simply love their egg omelettes, as well as their super strong and tasty coffee. Such a great cafe in the Bushwick area! Love stopping by for a quick breakfast lunch. You order at the cashier and they bring you your food to your table. Service is great. The food was amazing. The tapsilog and avosilog are so delicious. My bestie had the tocilog and enjoyed it. But they feel the pork could be more favored. My wife felt the food was a bit bland. I had the Ryan smoothie. There have been worse protein smoothies I've had. This is on the better side but the smoothie wasn't really sweet probably because mango isn't in season. The only improvement I see this place could use is under the table hangers and a coat hanger in the restroom. It's pretty inconvenient if you got a party or 4 and don't have places to put down bags or winter coats. read more

LOVE this spot! Very cool Filipino menu -- never had breakfast like this before. Ask me if I want lumpia for breakfa-- YES. YES I DO. The garlic rice in the rice bowl is delicious and very flavorful, makes an excellent base for the egg and meat of your choice. Fresh veggies add a nice cut to the richness of the rest. There's an awesome hot sauce(?) with a vinegary kick you can add to it, too (not sure of the name)! The Ube pancakes were very good -- subtle. I enjoyed my ube and matcha latte, too. Keepin it real out here in Bushwick Bushwick is def blessed to get a spot like this, simple but def deserved to be called a local gem. Authentic with a slight twist, serving some pretty hip filipino dishes, even the smoothies are pretty good. It's good for a meal or just a rest stop to get some work done. read more

Tried the new location in Middle Village. We ordered a BLT, Nutella waffles, and iced caramel macchiatos. The food was underwhelming, but the coffee was great. My bacon was super chewy and my bread tasted stale. I asked for whole wheat bread because I saw it on the menu and they said they don't have it. The waffles were your standard waffles. What I wasn't a fan of was we each received our food at different times. Even the waffles came out about 10 mins apart. The server was really nice and talked to us for most of our meal. I will definitely stop by again for some coffee, but will probably skip the food. read more

As a fellow filipina i was excited to try this cafe. They have good lattes and pasties but i don't recommend the food. I've tried this place twice in hopes that my first experience was an off day but the food came out bland and cold. I also tried the Thai Tea and it was lacking flavor and the tea tasted old. I recently moved to a new apartment that just happens to be around the corner from Cafe Pri, naturally, my first morning here I walked over to get an iced coffee. The coffee was good, but what I wasn't expecting was the food. This is an amazing spot for breakfast or lunch, the traditionally inspired Pilipino garlic rice bowls are delicious, and the cured beef is very high quality. It's a pretty small shop so it can get crowded on weekends, however, the service is great and it's always a quick turn around for orders. They even allow you to set up your computer to work from the shop during the day is necessary. Every experience I've had at this cafe so far has been through the roof, the people behind the counter are always willing to answer any questions you have and even give suggestions if you're having trouble make up your mind. read more

Ok I enjoy Filipino Food a lot. Perhaps the food I've had, is from a different region or something but, we got three different dishes and at least 2 of them were the seasoned exactly the same; just one dry and one with a gravy using the same spices. The vegan chicken was good. But the pork was not great. It was the seasoning; just not good. We were so excited. but none of the Filipino food that I know was here.( i am not fillipino so most of the previous food I have had hads been in people's homes or restaurants; Like the Purple Yam). I was so excited to try this place because as a Filipino our breakfast's are top notch. Also, we don't have many Filipino restaurants in the hood. I read the reviews and they were mixed. So I thought, why not? Sadly I was truly disappointed. I got what a traditional Filipino breakfast would be, tocilog and my hubby got the veggie omelet. The tocilog had maybe half a scoop of rice. Un-ripened tomatoes and no flavor. I had to add fish sauce and more to make it edible. My hubby also was disappointed and threw his omelet out. The presentation was pretty but that was about it. Love this place in the morning! Great food and friendly staff. The only thing I wish that they would change is the horrible white lighting overhead. PLEASE install something warmer that makes the environment and food look and feel more comforting. I would come back a lot more often if the lighting wasn't so horrible. Lighting really matters! I was looking for a cafe or simple breakfast spot on the outskirts of Bushwick and this one popped up on google maps. The exterior is super cute! You can't miss it. Whomever designed the storefront knew what they were doing. The hostess/barista/manager(?) was very pleasant and very accommodating. There are a lot of menu options including some interesting fried rice bowls with a distinct asian (Phillipino) influence. I had the Tapsilog bowl which was pretty solid although I didn't realize that it came with a runny egg (I'm not a fan don't judge me lol). The hostess was happy to adjust and hard fry it for me. I appreciated the effort. I washed the bowl down with some Thai iced tea. At the time of our visit the espresso machine was still being installed but they were able to get my friend a latte instead. I'm sure they've got all of that up and running by now. The menu is wide ranging. They've got seats out front. Alternate side parking is available. I think I'll be back to sample the rest of their options. You should come with! It's worth it I promise. read more

Found this spot through Grubhub and I understand why they have such good reviews! I ordered the waffles with nuts & berries and I love that they give you TWO full sized waffles when most places only give one. I will say there was waaaay too many nuts on there for my taste but at least they weren't cheap about it! I also ordered the avocado/rice bowl which was verrry tasty and filling. I come here some mornings for the Dalgona Whipped coffee with Oat Milk. It's delicious and I don't know anyone else around making it like this. Also, the staff at this shop seem genuinely happy to be at their jobs and give great care in all the things they do. This also makes me feel great coming in. They greet customers with a smile like they are happy to see us. I highly recommend this spot and hope they continue to do amazing here. The inside is always clean and tidy. read more

Order take out here and went dined in. The food was great either way. But considering the wait time it might be best to order out. It's really hard to dine in. You have to fight over a table and there is no host. They've definitely outgrown the space and need to expand. They low key forgot our order at one point and had to come and confirm. They did give us a free drink though. But than had to remind them about something left off the check. Even the delivery people had to wait for the orders to be made. So maybe leave that person a bigger tip. The staff was lovely and I'm happy for the business. But they need to expand the space and increase the staff to really keep up. Keep the food, atmosphere vibe the same. Will probably order delivery again. But won't dine in. read more
