We were very impressed with this little cafe we found on Yelp. The food was excellent! We ordered iced vanilla lattes along with a Mediterranean Salad & the Grilled Cheese plate. The lattes were perfect... the grilled cheese was delicious & came with very good chips & a side salad (or fruit if you prefer). The Mediterranean Salad was AMAZING & what a presentation! The quality of ingredients was top notch & the flavors were amazing. I felt the food quality was worth the price. Truly felt as if a very good & talented chef had prepared it. We had no complaints, we came at an off time & there was only one other table being served & were almost done. We look forward to coming again, trying other things, definitely breakfast, but may not stay if it's too busy based on other reviews. This is a very small place with only two people working it so I think we would hesitate if it were really busy. We'll definitely be returning. read more

I have been going to this restaurant since it was open. I stopped about 2 months ago because the price did not reflect the quality. Way too much for what it cost. Besides, the owner refuses to have decaf available. This morning I decided to give it another try to see if there have been any improvements. I ordered the eggs Benedict Florentine. I was also really in the mood for a croissant and waitress said they are made in their kitchen. Well, the eggs Benedict were above average. Everything else was not. The coffee was no better then Circle K; The music was a local radio station that hardly played music but blabbed gibberish and not relaxing at all; I never got a refill on the coffee, even when I requested a refill.; The croissant was the worst I have ever had in my life. The croissant came covered in honey which I returned. The next one had a light sugar glaze and when I pulled it open it was hard and dense inside. It tasted awful. The only thing that was "croissant" about it was the shape. When I complained again the waitress told me that the croissants come frozen and not made fresh there. The owner should re-assess the quality of the coffee, sound and service. If I'm going to pay $15 for breakfast then I expect much better then I got. I gave this place another try after 2 months. I will not give it another one. read more

We've determined the excellent food really isn't worth what comes along with it and sadly won't be back because the pancakes are killer! Have you ever watched the show Boiling Point? People purposely try to push your button without you knowing it... that's what this felt like. Waitress walks by 5 times without a acknowledging you... can't be real, right? Every table outside dirty.... you order a chai and it has no sweetener at all and then they look at you like you're crazy when you tell them it does not taste like chai.... silverware? This place has the best coffee and espresso in the Glendale area, period. If that's all you're looking for then it's a 5 star cafe. Coffee prices are reasonable too. The only reason it's a 4/5 for me is that their food, while great, is slightly over-priced. That being said, I don't mind spending a little extra to support a locally owned place. I'm a little bit confused whether this is a coffee shop or a breakfast restaurant. On a Sunday morning, it is definitely a breakfast/brunch place. It is a very small place with about six 4-person tables and barely any room to walk when the tables are occupied. This is my second review for this business. They received 4 stars on my first review. My daughter and I went there on a Saturday for breakfast and we were extremely disappointed. I am not sure what is going on but I can't imagine a restaurant going down in both service and food. We actually cleaned our own table because the servers didn't care to and were chatting inside. They weren't at full capacity either. 4 tables got up and left in the 1 1/2 hours we waited for our food. Yes, 1 1/2 hrs, it is not a typo. They could not make the Chai that was on the menu. My eggs Benedict were cold and the eggs were over cooked. My daughter's pancakes were good. I have eaten here before, and I hope that it was just an off day for them. The sign on the door at the black-and-white café says best quality. Wow is this true! I had the smoked salmon scramble which was incredible. It was served on a super fresh everything bagel and the combo of tomato, cream cheese and salmon was delicious. I'm not a potato girl but these potatoes really got my attention so I tried them. They might be the best breakfast potatoes I've ever had. They're actually seasoned so well that they don't need a thing and they have the perfect amount of roastey crunch. I can't tell you what a pleasant surprise this place was. I've been shuttling my friend down to the greater Phoenix area for a year for eye surgeries. Over that time, we've sampled half a dozen different breakfast places. This was far and away the best...and we thought that one place in Old Town Scottsdale could not be topped. We were so wrong. My friend had the Challah bread French toast plate with scrambled eggs and sausage. He was in heaven. I had the Spinach and Tomato eggs Benedict with potatoes...the BEST I've ever had. And no kidding, as good as the eggs were -- and they were wonderful -- the potatoes were cooked to perfection! I'm not a big eater but I finished everything. And the cold brew iced coffee was smooth and excellent. The waitress was really attentive and outstanding, even turning the music down a bit for us. And we paid our compliments to the chef for a great breakfast. One word of warning from the staff -- the restaurant gets filled on weekends and they often run out of favorite menu items early! read more

Gave this place another opportunity, this time for lunch, and we were not disappointed. The food was really good, and the service was very good as well. We had the vegetarian sandwich and the turkey sandwich, which came with side salads, which we liked because of the balsamic vinegar and pine nuts on top. The portions were good, the ingredients were fresh, and everything was very tasty. They sell infused water that was refreshing but that other restaurants offer for free. We went there around 11am on on Thursday and was told they won't serve us brunch/breakfast because they ran out of food and they only had lunch items. I was not happy especially after I researched this place for a grad brunch with just myself and my daughter. The hostess (if that what you want to call her) said ya we do that sometimes. I said that's not what your website says it says breakfast/brunch till 2 she looked at me confused and said " our website?" (not a big surprise) I have had other people tell me after this that their experience with the staff especially the young girls have not been professional nor have good customer service. On the other hand I was told the owner is very nice. Well I would hope so since it's their business. Maybe invest in staff with proper customer service. Not really sure why, but but my wife and I brought our 2 puppies here and had to wait 15 - 20 minutes for 2 cups of coffee on our Saturday afternoon. There was a cashier and the owner working, so it should not have taken that long for our coffee. When I ordered I asked for Soy Milk, and was told they did not have that, so I said okay, just make it with Non Fat. The girl said we don't have that either. REALLY? No smile, no customer service. I went there right when they opened with a friend. My first impression was that it was clean and cheery place The staff greeted us immediately with smiles and ready to serve. Each of us had the Phoenix omelet. It was both delicious and had great presentation. We've found this little gem of a coffee house just east of the Home Depot. A little pricey ($12.50 for an omelette), but well worth it for the quality of dish you receive. I was having my tire fixed at Discount Tire and they suggested coming to this place. The place is small and quaint. I sat for 10 minutes without being acknowledged. Two other parties came in while I was sitting at my table. The server, only one, gave them their place settings but did not acknowledge I was sitting at my table, with no place setting. I noticed she was barely taking the orders of two previous tables that had been sitting there probably longer than I was. I left because my tire was ready. I give two stars for poor customer service.
