The service was a teeny tiny bit lacking but oh my goodness the steak and eggs Sunday special was soooo good. The steak was cooked to perfection and loved the crispy hash browns. The jam was soooo good as well. Loved the casual but clean atmosphere.

Pretty good food and honestly caught me by surprise! They checked in with us and asked us how the food was and asked if we wanted refills quite often and it wasn't too loud. Only thing that I wish was different was the burrito which I got, everything was good I just wish that it had more sauce because it was yummy!

We've started making Matt's a weekday drop in for family breakfast. We're enjoying their daily specials and the attentive service. Would recommend!

This Matt's Big Breakfast opened a little over a year ago and is a welcome addition to the Arrowhead Brunch scene. Due to the pandemic, it took a while for them to open. And we were soooo excited when the sign went up, being a big fan of their busy downtown PHX location. Yes! Wait times are in the forty-five minutes range, but there are some shaded seats outside. Granted the kitchen can sometimes be slow. But we tend to use the extended downtime for conversation Three of us already had the menu memorized before coming here. LOL So we each ordered our usuals... BLT with a side of Country Sausage protein, Waffles with Bacon and their huge Papa Breakfast Burrito with a side of Hash Browns. Delicious. Again nothing is pre-made here so there is a wait. But it's worth it. Nothing like Matt's.

Hey Yelpers! Came here with the fam on New Year's Day. We enjoyed it very much. It's a great place that is inviting and comfortable. The food was delicious. I loved my club sandwich. As for the service, our servers did an excellent job. They use a real approach where they all help out at each other's tables, so we never had to wait for anything. We would definitely go back and you should give them a try also!

Nice, clean location. Customer Service was good, got everything I ordered on a timely basis. Ordered the Big Papa Burrito, the tortilla was soggy, probably had too many jalapeño for my liking, should have asked for less. I have had better at this location. I will be back for another try.

Instead…read moreof being creamy and cheesy, it's a watery, mushy mess that tastes like it sat under a heat lamp for way too long. For a place that acts like it's high-quality, serving pasta that tastes this cheap and flavorless is just wrong. The rest of the menu isn't much better; everything is surprisingly bland and lacks any real kick. You'd expect "Mad" flavors, but you get food that tastes like nothing. It's frustrating to pay these prices for a meal that satisfies absolutely no cravings and leaves you wishing you'd just eaten at home. The service is just as bad as the food because it is incredibly slow. Even if the line is short, the employees move like they're in slow motion and don't care that people are on their lunch breaks. You end up standing around forever just to get a basic order, which makes the whole experience feel like a chore. The staff seems totally checked out, which makes the long wait feel even more annoying. There's no hustle or friendly energy at all. It's hard to justify coming back when you know you're going to waste half your afternoon waiting for a meal that wasn't even worth the time. As for the atmosphere, it is incredibly boring and dull. The restaurant feels cold and sterile, with zero decorations or personality to make it feel welcoming. It has the same "blah" vibe as a doctor's office waiting room, which really kills any enjoyment of the meal. Overall, between the gross Mac and cheese and the lifeless environment, there's no reason to visit this spot. If you want a better meal, you're better off looking for local favorites on Yelp or checking the Fast Casual site for better-rated chains. It's just not worth the disappointment.

I always love visiting Cafe Zupas when I'm in town. I wish they'd open where I live, in Oregon!…read more I was excited to see the menu when I landed as I knew this would be a perfect post flight meal. I had the cottage cheese bowl and added a few additional veggies and it was so fantastic. The service was quick and the food was fresh. The reason I took a star off is because there was a piece of cardboard in my bowl. Things happen, and this won't stop me from visiting again, but wanted to cal that out.

The menu doesn't say you can't do that anywhere. Not on the board, not in fine print, nowhere. Instead of just making the order, I was told "you can't do that." No explanation. No logic. Nothing. I asked for the manager, and Zana wandered over. She had no clue what the policy even was. She had to stare at the menu board, then ask a coworker, just to come back and tell me no again, still with zero reasoning. Then she hit me with the most ridiculous explanation I've ever heard in a restaurant: it's "implied" that you shouldn't order two soups. Implied? By who? Because it sure wasn't implied to me, and it definitely wasn't written anywhere. Instead of owning the mistake or providing a real answer, she got visibly aggressive the second she was challenged, like I asked her to solve rocket science instead of a lunch order. When I asked for her District Manager to contact me, she took my name and number, but not before throwing out this gem: "Do you go to Panera Bread and do this too?" Yes, actually. And unlike Café Zupas, Panera doesn't whine about it. They encourage it. I left Café Zupas and went straight to Panera for a stress-free lunch. I even kept the receipt so Café Zupas can see how a real company handles customers. Bottom line: the menu is misleading, the manager has no command of the policies, and the attitude was downright unacceptable. If this is how Café Zupas chooses to treat paying customers over something this small, it says everything I need to know. I'll happily spend my money elsewhere.

The manager stopped us at the check-in counter and wouldn't let us in. Said it was their policy. I pleaded with her to make an exception but she stood pat. She had a rule and damn well was going to stick to it. Said the food we were bringing in may contaminate the restaurant. I will never dine there again. I used to be a vendor and knew the owner before he passed away. He would be rolling in his grave if he knew how one of his restaurants was being managed. BTW, I rarely post bad reviews.
