    Blueberry Pancake

Popped in US Egg for a quick breakfast after golf at Bell-Air. I've never tried this spot but was curious after seeing many locations and wanted to try something new. Immediately I noted they have bloody Mary's so I ordered one right away. The drink came very quickly but then we waited and waited for the waitress to come back. It was a busy Saturday morning but still it wasn't overflowing. The bloody was good and came with a pickle garnish but nothing special. Ambiance is what you would expect in a Saturday morning and it's very family friendly. I ordered the triple combo with hash browns. It was tasteless. Hash browns were not crispy enough for my taste. Pancakes were not good. They tasted like nothing and then all they had was plastic syrup... I am a maple syrup snob and there was none of that to be found. Eggs were fine. Nothing special. My son had steak and eggs. He ordered it med rare and it came well done and rubbery. It looked gross. He also had fries. Those were decent on the fry scale about a 7/10. My dad had a blueberry pancake and bacon. For three breakfast meals and one Bloody Mary we spent $100!!! Definitely not worth the money. Likely will not return.

    Mimosa flight

We got seated in a corner booth that's perpendicular to another table which was slightly awkward but also just set us up for failure since the waitress majorly lagged getting to us. The mimosas were standard. Now for the food, they did get their eggs right as the over medium were cooked well. The gravy for the chicken fried steak? Floury and bland at the same time....the chicken fried steak itself had a weird texture unlike any I've ever had. Definitely would not return and the prices may be regular, but you can definitely find a better price and taste for the mimosa flight elsewhere for sure.

    GF French Toast; excellent!!

The Gluten Free menu is a dream; bigger selection than any other breakfast place I have ever been to! ...and it was YUMMMM Service was friendly, food was good and there is a lot of seating (with dog friendly patio too). Will be back for sure!

Met a friend here for breakfast and was excited to try out some items. The dining room looks similar to a Dennys. Nothing to write home about. It wasn't but for 830am so got seated right away. The waitress was friendly and attentive. We ordered Stars and Stripes waffles,'Turkey sausages, and omelette. Everything was ok. Not the best. The waffles were soggy and fruits were from a can. Didn't taste fresh. Anyway excellent service but probably won't come back again.

On a Sunday morning around 9am, my friend and I stopped in for breakfast/brunch. I've heard they have great Bloody Mary options and Benedict's, so I've had on my radar to try when in the area. Pleasantly surprised to be sat right away, and with a very attentive server. Loved all the egg decor as it made the establishment unique and quirky. The booth was very comfortable and we stayed longer to chat since it was a great atmosphere. There are many options of Bloody Mary on the menu, and I enjoyed the classic. The mix is not too spicy for those sensitive to heat and has just the right amount of zing to it. As well as there are different Benedict choices. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked, and they have a good hollandaise. Overall, I was very pleased with the breakfast and so was my friend. We will definitely return when we come out to visit my bestie and his new baby.

    Gluten free GF French Toast

This was a really nice breakfast brunch spot. I came here with my mom for brunch/lunch. I was pleasantly surprised to learn they had a nice gluten friendly menu with dairy free options as well. I ordered the GF French toast with fruit. The food came out in a timely manner, and tasted great! The gluten free bread was actually very good, and absorbed the maple syrup well. I really enjoyed the addition of the strawberries and bananas. The service was very nice, and the restaurant was clean. Overall a very nice experience here!

Came here while visiting fam. Its open 6:30am to 2:30pm. The staff are very friendly and personable, atmosphere is peaceful and chill; and noise level is surprisingly low, almost quiet. In speaking with one of the staff, its family owned and they have 6 locations. There are 4 brothers and each run a restaurant. The other 2, they take turns weekely checking in on. In speaking with a couple staff, they spoke very highly of their job and I could tell it was geniuine. I could also see how tight knit they are by they way they interacted with each other. They have quite a bit on the menu to choose from. The food came exceptionally fast for a packed place. I ordered orange juice and the spinach florentine and I requested my hash browns crispy and chose sourdough for my bread. The orange juice tasted fresh squeezed and pulpy. Whether it is or isnt, it tasted fresh. My food was really good. I almost forgot to take a picture!! Lol I defintely recommend this place to anyone and will swing by again :)

I always planned to go for dinner, I didn't even know they were open for brunch. Well now I do, and it was SO delicious that I would like to come back to try other menu items. The ambiance of Valentine is like being in Palm Springs at a resort enjoying brunch. It's very mid-century modern and I love the decor. They have a large outdoor patio that is probably nice when it's not summer. We sat inside and noticed there is a vintage market (Modern Manor) attached to the restaurant, we went there after eating. (A cute place with some pricey items. I'll post a separate review of the store.) Our server Pete, he was exceptional. He knows my cousins' husband and he gave us the grand tour of the menu. His recommendations were spot on, and we wanted for nothing. We started with handcrafted drinks, I really enjoyed the coffee menu options, with unique flavors. I had the iced Cajeta latte with oat milk. Cajeta is like a Mexican caramel and was very good with espresso. I also tried the chiltepin shakerato (a slight spicy mocha) and golden milk (turmeric latte). I really liked all of them. Then we had a fantastic sampler plate of pastries-- piñon croissant, morning swirl, and churro croissant roll. Baked fresh, these are really great! My fave was the morning swirl. I would come back to try the other pastries alone. Next we had the chula seafood crudo with a delicious agua chile sauce. Then onto our entrees-- avocado toast, breakfast sando, tortilla espanola, tres leche French toast, tater tots, and for good measure the Sonoran dog. I was able to try all the dishes and everything was awesome. The toast used is a thick Texas toast type of bread that is called squash brioche-- so good! Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, you can tell that Valentine cares about using fresh, local, high quality/ interesting ingredients with unique flavors. I mean they add trout roe to their Sonoran dog and serve with house made allium-nori chips... how fun is that?! And mesquite-pecan butter with sorghum-sage syrup for the French toast is so rich and sweet. That's a dessert type brunch dish for sure. We had so much food, we couldn't finish so we boxed up leftovers which heated up and tasted great the next day. I fully intend to come back for the dinner menu and have cocktails at Bar 1912. I look forward to it.

The hostess made a pastry recommendation and my server had the same recommendation so I tried the pain suisse. 10/10! It was a beautifully flaky pastry with sweetness from the guava. So delicious. I also had the seasonal quiche which was flavorful. It came with a small salad, and I will even commend them on the crispness of the lettuce. 10/10. The coffee selection is unique. I tried the cajeta latte, which was described as their take on a salted caramel latte. So good! My only critique would be the cup in comes in. While very stylish, it didn't have a handle so I had to use my napkin to pick up my cup at first. Overall, very satisfied and would highly recommend!

Went there on a Saturday morning. There was a little bit of a wait, but not too. Had a wonderful waiting area to sit with great vibes great music. Lively atmosphere. Being in Arcadia Neighbourhood, you see a mix of people. Everything from hipsters, to aunties and uncs, and people looking like they just left the set of Pop the Balloon or Find Love. As for the food, I had the catfish and grits. The catfish was cooked perfectly, well seasoned. Hot crispy fresh. The grits were a bit lacking as they were pretty runny but overall a good bite. Other people in my party got a short rib hash said it was delicious. The French toast and the pancakes are not anything different than what you get at any other high-end brunch spot. They do have valet parking at this establishment or you can park on the side street about two blocks away for free. We opted to just park two blocks away. On this occasion, our server was very sweet. She was also a cancer zodiac sign, so very nurturing and she insured that we had a great experience. For food I have no complaints. I really enjoyed the grits and catfish and also a birthday pancake that was given to me by the establishment. I thought that was a really nice gesture, and it was delicious. The vibe and the food for this establishment is five stars. What I take issue with is the lack of glassware. I think if you're gonna offer sparkling wine or mimosas or even champagne, you should have the proper stemware. I thought that the mimosa flights came off very low brow and there was no way I was drinking out of what looked like glass baby bottles. When asked for a wine stem glass, they didn't have any. And I actually believe the server which they need to do better IKEA is not that far you can get some wine glasses. This is essential. I did also see that they had some upgraded bottles for bubbles and I wish I would've saw that on a menu as I would've purchased an upgrade it Prosecco or champagne. However, I would've been livid if I purchased an upgraded bottle and had to drink out of thick cognac glasses. Anyway, I would come back here, but I just think they need to do better on the actual glassware. It would elevate this establishment.

The interior is pretty long with a large number of seating inside the building so we had no trouble getting seated right away by the hostess. We decided on food relatively quickly due to previous experience with the business, however, our waiter never came around to take our orders or even give us water at the table. We saw one girl with dyed hair who unassumingly could have been our waiter since she was in our section but only worked with one particular table and ran to the back after each time, but never addressed our table or came by. We eventually had to flag a different waiter down who was able to help us place the order and service us for the rest of our visit, she also informed us that this other "Waiter" was supposed to help us but she wasn't sure why she never made an attempt to do so after having us wait 20 mins and other tables were being serviced. We ordered Flordian French Toast and Elote Breakfast Burrito (plus a couple sides and drink) which were both really good, and filling. Prices weren't too bad for what we ordered and was able to take our mind off of the rather long wait to get helped. Not sure if we'll come back to this particular location again, but it was nice trying the restaurant out another time.

The music and atmosphere were energetic maybe a little loud for my personal taste but the overall vibe was fun and social. I also noticed a nice patio area in the back of the restaurant. The layout of the restaurant was unique. I had never been to this location before. There is a counter-service area near the entrance where you can eat casually or order food to go, while the full-service dining area is located farther back. I I also enjoyed reading the historical displays throughout the restaurant that shared the history of Sunnyslope and the building itself, including its former life as "The Arbor." It added a unique local touch to the experience. I ordered the Ensalada Del Sol, which was generously sized and made with fresh ingredients. The chili-rubbed chicken was tender, and the food arrived quickly. My only concern was the consistency of the chicken. It was much saltier than expected and overpowered some of the other flavors in the salad. There also wasn't quite enough cilantro dressing for the flavor to come through. This was actually the second time I've experienced overly salty chicken here on the same salad, My bartender/server was friendly, attentive, and offered helpful drink recommendations.
