    Blueberry Pancake
    Sarah S.

Popped in US Egg for a quick breakfast after golf at Bell-Air. I've never tried this spot but was curious after seeing many locations and wanted to try something new. Immediately I noted they have bloody Mary's so I ordered one right away. The drink came very quickly but then we waited and waited for the waitress to come back. It was a busy Saturday morning but still it wasn't overflowing. The bloody was good and came with a pickle garnish but nothing special. Ambiance is what you would expect in a Saturday morning and it's very family friendly. I ordered the triple combo with hash browns. It was tasteless. Hash browns were not crispy enough for my taste. Pancakes were not good. They tasted like nothing and then all they had was plastic syrup... I am a maple syrup snob and there was none of that to be found. Eggs were fine. Nothing special. My son had steak and eggs. He ordered it med rare and it came well done and rubbery. It looked gross. He also had fries. Those were decent on the fry scale about a 7/10. My dad had a blueberry pancake and bacon. For three breakfast meals and one Bloody Mary we spent $100!!! Definitely not worth the money. Likely will not return.

    Mimosa flight

We got seated in a corner booth that's perpendicular to another table which was slightly awkward but also just set us up for failure since the waitress majorly lagged getting to us. The mimosas were standard. Now for the food, they did get their eggs right as the over medium were cooked well. The gravy for the chicken fried steak? Floury and bland at the same time....the chicken fried steak itself had a weird texture unlike any I've ever had. Definitely would not return and the prices may be regular, but you can definitely find a better price and taste for the mimosa flight elsewhere for sure.

The Gluten Free menu is a dream; bigger selection than any other breakfast place I have ever been to! ...and it was YUMMMM Service was friendly, food was good and there is a lot of seating (with dog friendly patio too). Will be back for sure!

Met a friend here for breakfast and was excited to try out some items. The dining room looks similar to a Dennys. Nothing to write home about. It wasn't but for 830am so got seated right away. The waitress was friendly and attentive. We ordered Stars and Stripes waffles,'Turkey sausages, and omelette. Everything was ok. Not the best. The waffles were soggy and fruits were from a can. Didn't taste fresh. Anyway excellent service but probably won't come back again.

On a Sunday morning around 9am, my friend and I stopped in for breakfast/brunch. I've heard they have great Bloody Mary options and Benedict's, so I've had on my radar to try when in the area. Pleasantly surprised to be sat right away, and with a very attentive server. Loved all the egg decor as it made the establishment unique and quirky. The booth was very comfortable and we stayed longer to chat since it was a great atmosphere. There are many options of Bloody Mary on the menu, and I enjoyed the classic. The mix is not too spicy for those sensitive to heat and has just the right amount of zing to it. As well as there are different Benedict choices. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked, and they have a good hollandaise. Overall, I was very pleased with the breakfast and so was my friend. We will definitely return when we come out to visit my bestie and his new baby.

This was a really nice breakfast brunch spot. I came here with my mom for brunch/lunch. I was pleasantly surprised to learn they had a nice gluten friendly menu with dairy free options as well. I ordered the GF French toast with fruit. The food came out in a timely manner, and tasted great! The gluten free bread was actually very good, and absorbed the maple syrup well. I really enjoyed the addition of the strawberries and bananas. The service was very nice, and the restaurant was clean. Overall a very nice experience here!

Came here while visiting fam. Its open 6:30am to 2:30pm. The staff are very friendly and personable, atmosphere is peaceful and chill; and noise level is surprisingly low, almost quiet. In speaking with one of the staff, its family owned and they have 6 locations. There are 4 brothers and each run a restaurant. The other 2, they take turns weekely checking in on. In speaking with a couple staff, they spoke very highly of their job and I could tell it was geniuine. I could also see how tight knit they are by they way they interacted with each other. They have quite a bit on the menu to choose from. The food came exceptionally fast for a packed place. I ordered orange juice and the spinach florentine and I requested my hash browns crispy and chose sourdough for my bread. The orange juice tasted fresh squeezed and pulpy. Whether it is or isnt, it tasted fresh. My food was really good. I almost forgot to take a picture!! Lol I defintely recommend this place to anyone and will swing by again :)

Sophia was great. The stars are for her. We came in Saturday afternoon for brunch. Place was packed but no wait. Menu is pretty simple but too expensive! We shared a French Dip with fries. It came out fairly quickly. Nothing special. Sandwich was dry, meat was dry thank goodness for the Aus ju that helped so much! Fries were the best thing on the plate. I couldnt believe they called that a french dip! No way,no how. I won't retun.

Second -- CASH ONLY There is a Hawaiian inspiration/theme at the The OBH mixed with mexican flavors -- basically if you like a lot of meat with your breakfast then come here. When looking at other people's plates the portions looked very large -- the prices are average -- not cheap but not over the top. I did see someone with a cinnamon roll that looked pretty delicious. My mom had been here one other time and got the cinnamon roll pancakes, which she loved (and why we are here today) -- Nothing was speaking to me on the menu so I just ordered the classic OBH pancakes. I would give them about a 5/10 on the pancake scale. Also they didn't have real maple syrup even to purchase for extra -- they say their syrup is a maple syrup blend -- it wasn't full on plastic but it wasn't real maple syrup. I also ordered a side of scrambled eggs with cheddar -- it was a little runny and overall just average. The coffee was rank -- I would give it a 2/10. Our server was very friendly as was all of the other staff -- that is why I hate to only give 3 stars because it is a great local spot. When we left (around 9am) there was quite a long wait -- so you know it is very popular

Valentine -- Phoenix, AZ…read more A group of us went to dinner at Valentine last night, and the entire experience was amazing from start to finish. We were greeted and seated promptly, and our servers were absolutely wonderful. The drinks and food were both top-notch, and the ambiance was calm, atmospheric, and romantic without feeling stuffy. The food was easily a 10/10. Everything was so unique, flavorful, and made with such high-quality ingredients. You can really tell there's a lot of thought put into the menu. After dinner, we were escorted over to their lounge next door for a nightcap and listening party, which was such a fun addition to the evening. We loved the experience so much that when our waiter mentioned they also serve breakfast, we came back the very next day to try the breakfast menu for the first time! And WOW -- breakfast did not disappoint. We tried the Sonoran dog with roe, tres leches French toast, steak and eggs, and the tamale bowl. Everything was amazing, but the Sonoran dog with roe was LIFE CHANGING. I would highly recommend either the steak and eggs or the Sonoran dog. The French toast was delicious, but I was glad we had some heartier dishes to balance it out. And I can't forget the thrift store! It's absolutely adorable, and I especially loved all of the crochet blankets. Between the food, service, atmosphere, lounge experience, and all the little details, Valentine is such a special place. We had such a great experience that we literally came back the next morning -- I think that says it all. 10/10 and highly recommend!

We had a reservation, but there were several tables open, so we probably would have been find. They have a complimentary lot, but it's not that big. Thankfully, I was able to find a spot. Ambiance (4/5): Valentine is a charming restaurant. Relatively small but comfortable. They have an open kitchen and there are also some couches in addition to your typical seating. We sat at a two-person table. It was a little small, but it was fine. And it was a little hot inside. Something to be mindful of, especially during August in Phoenix. Service (4.5/5): The service throughout was great. Attentive, efficient, and friendly. Our waiter did well taking care of us. No complaints. Drinks (4.5/5): Valentine has a nice wine and cocktail list. I ended up going with a Chilean wine. Potentially the first time I've had wine from Chile. My dining partner liked her cocktail. Food (4/5): We started off with the Sonoran what pretzel as an appetizer. It's served with whipped hen butter and honey comb which is an interesting take. A little mix of sweet and savory. And hey, I'll take a healthier pretzel every day of the week as long as it still tastes good. It did. Crispy on the exterior and soft on the inside just as you hope. One of their most popular starters. From there, I had the elote pasta which is their most popular dish. The presentation is awesome. The pasta is made to look like corn on the cob. And this was my first time having elote pasta. I love elote and I love pasta, so I was excited to try this fusion. Sadly, while not bad, both me and my friend agreed that it could have been better. We appreciated the creativity, including the dry corn kernels sprinkled on top, but the sauce was just too dry. It needed more creaminess to take it to where it could be. Pro tip: Valentine has a speakeasy inside of their restaurant. Stop by afterwards for a night cap. You can get in either through the restaurant or through the back. Our waiter took us there after our meal. It's called Bar 1912.

The French toast is Thick-cut and caramelized on the edges, without being overly sugary. For anyone planning a visit, please be aware that the wait times can be significant if you do not have a prior reservation. Fortunately, our large party of over 10 guests was able to utilize an indoor corner space to wait comfortably until our table was ready. Once we were seated, the service was excellent. The staff was incredibly patient and attentive while managing a table of our size. The food and beverage options were generally well-received, though there were a few minor details to note. One guest mentioned that the options for mimosa flights were somewhat limited. On the food side, my order of the Mexican Cowboy Bowl was excellent and prepared exactly as expected. While most of our group's orders were correct, one eggs Benedict arrived overcooked despite a specific request during ordering to avoid this. Given the size of our party, the guest chose to accept the dish rather than send it back. Billing Tip: For transparency, an automatic 20% gratuity was included in the final bill for our large group. I recommend double-checking your receipt to keep this in mind before adding any additional tips. Overall, it is a great brunch destination with quality dishes, but making a reservation ahead of time is highly advisable.

The interior is pretty long with a large number of seating inside the building so we had no trouble getting seated right away by the hostess. We decided on food relatively quickly due to previous experience with the business, however, our waiter never came around to take our orders or even give us water at the table. We saw one girl with dyed hair who unassumingly could have been our waiter since she was in our section but only worked with one particular table and ran to the back after each time, but never addressed our table or came by. We eventually had to flag a different waiter down who was able to help us place the order and service us for the rest of our visit, she also informed us that this other "Waiter" was supposed to help us but she wasn't sure why she never made an attempt to do so after having us wait 20 mins and other tables were being serviced. We ordered Flordian French Toast and Elote Breakfast Burrito (plus a couple sides and drink) which were both really good, and filling. Prices weren't too bad for what we ordered and was able to take our mind off of the rather long wait to get helped. Not sure if we'll come back to this particular location again, but it was nice trying the restaurant out another time.
