Haven't been here in awhile, my BF and I ordered similar things. I got the social sliders with fries and my BF ordered the steak sliders with caesar salad. There wasn't really anything special about the slider, no onions, no pickles, nor special sauce. Just ketchup and spicy ketchup on the side. The caesar salad that came with the steak slider was wilted and turning color and had no dressing on it. Probably won't be back here as the food quality wasn't to my liking. read more

Walking in around this area you wouldn't expect it but this place is a hidden little upscale gem. Extremely nice bright welcoming when you walk in. Friendly staff not shy about giving you their thoughts on items which is always helpful. We were out for a small bit or something to split so we sat at the bar. Whether you are headed to a movie, mall shopping, spring training, or ice skating Social on 83rd is an incredible spot that offers a lot of different quirks that separate itself from all the other eateries in the area. While not a large dining experience, there are several different eating space options including a dog friendly patio. One of the quirks of S83 is the amount of live, and advertised, music. This can be loud after reverberating off the patio but the play list while we were there had everyone signing along and playing cornhole. Our server was also great with a lot of our requests and questions about the menu. We landed on Wagyu Social Burgers and White Cod Fish Tacos for the win. Tip: pay the $4 for an extra taco they are worth it. Also on the menu is a diverse drink menu with craft cocktails and a Brunch option with lots of breakfast staples. At the End of the Day the Happy Hour, live music / DJ, and menu offer up a great experience that makes repeat visits worth the drive to the Arrowhead area. read more

The service was excellent- I'd called ahead for a reservation inside and they set us up at the back corner which has a great view of the whole place. This is one of our favorite restaurants! Whenever I have time to take one of my kids somewhere they always choose The Social. I was so disappointed today when my daughter had decided to go here for a late lunch and we ended up leaving because no one had even brought us water for over 15 minutes. The hostess did come and ask if we had been helped, but didn't seem to be concerned whether we left or stayed. I do understand being busy and had no problem waiting on food. I have never had a bad experience here until now. I think what sealed the deal was being made to feel like it didn't really seem like any real effort or desire to have us stay was made. I don't know if we will be back. And as I said my kids love this place but I don't know that I would want to go through that again with hungry kids just to not be served. read more

I met someone for lunch at the Social, it was her choice. The place is pretty nice, we arrived at 2:30 in the afternoon so not crazy busy. My companion ordered the short rib tacos and proclaimed how good they were. I ordered fish and chips and it was very good. It feels intimate, because it seems small, but more importantly; it is quiet enough to talk without hearing the other guests. They also have a nice outdoor seating area that is like a courtyard. Went here for lunch with a GF. I got the breakfast bruschetta and it was amazing. The only thing I would add it's honey to the peach ricotta and basil one. I had 3 different mimosas. The first was pineapple and prickly pair. It was so delicious. The next was cranberry and prickly pear and I can not remember the last one but it was good. We had an order of fries before the bruschetta, they were super good and three different dipping sauces. We sat inside and the atmosphere was really nice. I don't want to overhype this place, but dining here felt like being baptized in flavor by a choir of tipsy angels. This woman runs the place like a five-star general of joy. I'm convinced she knows everyone's name, drink order, and probably their favorite color in general life. She somehow makes the chaos of a packed night look like a well-rehearsed Broadway show. If Shay ran the world, it would be a lot more fun and everyone it would be better. Now onto the bartending dream team, aka the Avengers of Alcohol: Kaylee is an artist. I asked for something "citrusy but dangerous," and she handed me a drink that tasted like a tropical vacation with a restraining order. Clay looks like he could casually lift a truck but also made me a cocktail so balanced it probably meditates in the morning. Kiera up sass, speed, and an incredible whiskey that made me reevaluate every life decision I've ever made. And Olivia? Olivia is pure magic. She somehow got my vibe just by looking at me and mixed me something I can only describe as "summer in a glass with a college degree.", but i dont jnk she's old enough to serve drinks yet. just wait. She's amazing. The food? Outrageously good when i order it. (I usually show up full) The only downside is that now I have trust issues with every other restaurant and bar. They set the bar so high that I now expect every server to remember my name and every drink to have a narrative arc. In conclusion: 10/10. Five stars. Two enthusiastic thumbs up. Don't let the exterior fool you into thinking it is a fancy/expensive restaurant. Inside, the service and the vibe is like a neighborhood hangout. They have a great patio with cornhole and other activities for groups/families. The patio is also dog friendly. The FOOD!! We came by for brunch one weekend and had the best chicken fried steak I think I've ever had. They call it cajun style but it was not spicy...maybe a little smokey flavor to the gravy. We also had the build your own mimosa. It was fantastic. One evening we had a burger. It was so big that we were able to split it. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The fries were amazing too. The first time we came by The Social it was for a late night drink on my birthday. I got one of the dessert martinis and it was so good! We've also had wine, and a delicious seasonal sangria. The service has always been prompt and friendly. It feels like the staff all like each other, and like their guests. The bar area is fun and welcoming. My wife and I were in the area and decided to give Social on 83rd a try. What an awesome experience. The staff were amazing. Both bartenders that waited on us were super friendly and very attentive. We ordered the mimosa deal for 20.00 and the brunch board for 25.00. The brunch board was AMAZING!!!!The fruit was super fresh and tasty. The highlight of the board was the pastry with ham inside of it. I don't know why it's not on the menu because it's awesome. Even though we don't live that close, we will be back. Wow! Really glad I finally got to try The Social on 83rd. Fantastic happy hour (social hour 2-5 daily) offerings. I enjoyed a tres amigos paloma with a tajin rim (ok I had two). For 5.50 each, a great value. The Szechuan green beans were so good we almost licked the plate. I also had room for the blackened fish tacos which were small but super, even at full menu price. Husband ordered the social burger, with bacon, onion, cheese etc. With fries for $12 also a solid value at HH. Companions split an order of hummus while we pigged out. They ate some but not all. No complaints but clearly not as good as our choices! Service was friendly and efficient if not memorable, but they weren't very busy, even on a Saturday at 4. The server brought us a bottle of water with 2 glasses, unfortunately my glass was dirty with someone else's lipstick still on it, not my shade of pink. I don't think a deli style ham should be used for this dish, they are too thin and didn't work for me. It should be a ham steak or crispy bacon. We were in this neighborhood for shopping and so we decided to go here after searching it online. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the food here. Here is my take on different parameters: Food: A different take and very tasty. We took blackened fish tacos, honeybun chicken burger & a flatbread. The burger was by far our favorite one. It has a unique taste and the patty was very crispy. you won't get this taste anywhere. The tacos were very good too. Flatbread had more sweetness in it so not my favorite but I guess that was due to the option we selected unknowingly. They had some 7-8 beer on tap too along with other cocktail options. We tried 2 beers and they were really good. I would recommend the blood orange one. Ambiance: Very nice interior and great outdoor seating as well as a play area for kids to enjoy along with adults. Price: Not very cheap but that is the new normal for such a level of the restaurant. Our bill was around $75 for 3 dishes and 3 beers. Service: A very sweet lady was our server. She was nice by heart and took care of us very properly. The restrooms were clean too and no complaints about that too.
