This place is so nice. I went here for birthday brunch with my husband and another couple. First, the damage- brunch with drinks for four cost around $115 plus tip. The service was excellent- I'd called ahead for a reservation inside and they set us up at the back corner which has a great view of the whole place. The Bloody Mary was very good, and the mimosas were build your own. I had the croissant sandwich and found it delicious. Hubby had classic breakfast and said it was good, and my guests' plates were pretty clean. I'd love to go again! read more

Whether you are headed to a movie, mall shopping, spring training, or ice skating Social on 83rd is an incredible spot that offers a lot of different quirks that separate itself from all the other eateries in the area. While not a large dining experience, there are several different eating space options including a dog friendly patio. One of the quirks of S83 is the amount of live, and advertised, music. This can be loud after reverberating off the patio but the play list while we were there had everyone signing along and playing cornhole. Our server was also great with a lot of our requests and questions about the menu. We landed on Wagyu Social Burgers and White Cod Fish Tacos for the win. Tip: pay the $4 for an extra taco they are worth it. Also on the menu is a diverse drink menu with craft cocktails and a Brunch option with lots of breakfast staples. It was hard to be selective with ordering when everything sounded too good to pass! We ordered Brussel Sprouts and Gouda Mac n Cheese to share along with Honey Bee Fried Chicken Sandwich and Blackened Fish Tacos. Loved it all! Only complaint was towards the end of our visit. In middle of eating, we all of sudden were swarmed with army of flies, they opened up their bar area window causing flies to all come inside while it was 100+ already outside (3/21) making it hard to eat when we were fighting off flies from landing onto food or even in our mouth. This is one of our favorite restaurants! Whenever I have time to take one of my kids somewhere they always choose The Social. I was so disappointed today when my daughter had decided to go here for a late lunch and we ended up leaving because no one had even brought us water for over 15 minutes. The hostess did come and ask if we had been helped, but didn't seem to be concerned whether we left or stayed. I do understand being busy and had no problem waiting on food. I have never had a bad experience here until now. I think what sealed the deal was being made to feel like it didn't really seem like any real effort or desire to have us stay was made. I don't know if we will be back. And as I said my kids love this place but I don't know that I would want to go through that again with hungry kids just to not be served. read more

Great time here with friends. The breakfast chef's board was fun to share with everything from French toast and fruit to sausage patties and little pancakes with blueberry sauce! You know there are meh Buffalo chicken sandwiches out there and there are really good ones - they serve a really good one! This is a nice place to meet with friends, or possibly business associates. It feels intimate, because it seems small, but more importantly; it is quiet enough to talk without hearing the other guests. They also have a nice outdoor seating area that is like a courtyard. It is enclosed on all sides. This blocks off the street noise. The food was good and reasonably priced. The service was a bit slow, but this may have been on purpose to keep the relaxed feel of the restaurant. I met someone for lunch at the Social, it was her choice. The place is pretty nice, we arrived at 2:30 in the afternoon so not crazy busy. My companion ordered the short rib tacos and proclaimed how good they were. I ordered fish and chips and it was very good. I don't want to overhype this place, but dining here felt like being baptized in flavor by a choir of tipsy angels. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was either in a restaurant or had accidentally stumbled into the gates of heaven disguised as a gastropub. Spoiler: it was both. The staff? Absolute gems. Friendly, fast, and somehow able to refill your drink before you even realize it's empty. Either they've mastered time travel or witchcraft, and frankly, I'm fine with either as long as they keep the cocktails coming. Let's talk food. I ordered something that was described on the menu as "classic burger." Lies. That was not "just" a burger. That was the "king" of burgers. Juicy, perfectly cooked, and stacked so high I needed a structural engineer to keep it upright. The "Reuben Panini? ...to die for, (or a long nap) And the drinks? Let's just say their cocktail list deserves its own Netflix special. I had a drink that involved smoke, rosemary, and something set on fire at my table. I don't know if I drank it or joined a cult, but I have no regrets. The vibe is somewhere between "cozy speakeasy" and "your cool friend's living room where you might accidentally adopt a rescue dog." The playlist? Immaculate. I Shazamed 3 songs, got emotional during one, and just relaxed, and enjoyed the evening ambiance for the rest. Shay, the manager, is the heart and soul of the whole operation. This woman runs the place like a five-star general of joy. I'm convinced she knows everyone's name, drink order, and probably their favorite color in general life. She somehow makes the chaos of a packed night look like a well-rehearsed Broadway show. If Shay ran the world, it would be a lot more fun and everyone it would be better. Now onto the bartending dream team, aka the Avengers of Alcohol: Kaylee is an artist. I asked for something "citrusy but dangerous," and she handed me a drink that tasted like a tropical vacation with a restraining order. Clay looks like he could casually lift a truck but also made me a cocktail so balanced it probably meditates in the morning. Kiera up sass, speed, and an incredible whiskey that made me reevaluate every life decision I've ever made. And Olivia? Olivia is pure magic. She somehow got my vibe just by looking at me and mixed me something I can only describe as "summer in a glass with a college degree.", but i dont jnk she's old enough to serve drinks yet. just wait. She's amazing. The food? Outrageously good when i order it. (I usually show up full) The only downside is that now I have trust issues with every other restaurant and bar. They set the bar so high that I now expect every server to remember my name and every drink to have a narrative arc. In conclusion: 10/10. Five stars. Two enthusiastic thumbs up. At here before a Seattle Mariners spring training game which was the perfect location close to the park. We were a party of seven that got seated right away. The menu had many interesting things, I had the biscuits and Cajun gravy, it was good but, in my opinion, could have had more Cajun searing. We also had prickly pear mimosas which were great. Went here for lunch with a GF. I got the breakfast bruschetta and it was amazing. The only thing I would add it's honey to the peach ricotta and basil one. I had 3 different mimosas. The first was pineapple and prickly pair. It was so delicious. The next was cranberry and prickly pear and I can not remember the last one but it was good. We had an order of fries before the bruschetta, they were super good and three different dipping sauces. We sat inside and the atmosphere was really nice. I could hear the music but was not overwhelming. In all my first time was awesome. Will be going back for sure! Don't let the exterior fool you into thinking it is a fancy/expensive restaurant. Inside, the service and the vibe is like a neighborhood hangout. They have a great patio with cornhole and other activities for groups/families. The patio is also dog friendly. The FOOD!! We came by for brunch one weekend and had the best chicken fried steak I think I've ever had. They call it cajun style but it was not spicy...maybe a little smokey flavor to the gravy. We also had the build your own mimosa. It was fantastic. One evening we had a burger. It was so big that we were able to split it. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The fries were amazing too. The first time we came by The Social it was for a late night drink on my birthday. I got one of the dessert martinis and it was so good! We've also had wine, and a delicious seasonal sangria. My wife and I were in the area and decided to give Social on 83rd a try. What an awesome experience. The staff were amazing. Both bartenders that waited on us were super friendly and very attentive. We ordered the mimosa deal for 20.00 and the brunch board for 25.00. The brunch board was AMAZING!!!!The fruit was super fresh and tasty. The highlight of the board was the pastry with ham inside of it. I don't know why it's not on the menu because it's awesome. Even though we don't live that close, we will be back. Wow! Really glad I finally got to try The Social on 83rd. Fantastic happy hour (social hour 2-5 daily) offerings. I enjoyed a tres amigos paloma with a tajin rim (ok I had two). For 5.50 each, a great value. The Szechuan green beans were so good we almost licked the plate. I also had room for the blackened fish tacos which were small but super, even at full menu price. Husband ordered the social burger, with bacon, onion, cheese etc. With fries for $12 also a solid value at HH. Companions split an order of hummus while we pigged out. They ate some but not all. No complaints but clearly not as good as our choices! Service was friendly and efficient if not memorable, but they weren't very busy, even on a Saturday at 4. I love coming here, and I haven't been in awhile. The menu was changed a lot in the past few months-- but I was most let down that they got rid of their Asian Caramel wings/edamame. I used to order it every time, and I'm genuinely a little heartbroken it's not on the menu anymore. I would do anything to have it one more time! It's been a while since we have been to The Social so we decided to head here instead. I kind of wished we would have waited at the other place. When you walk in, the place had that just bleached smell. The kind that welcomes you at the all you can eat buffets. UGH. We were the second couple to sit at a table. While the outside patio was pretty busy, the inside was dead. Happy hour ended at 5pm. What? It's a Friday night. really? I ordered the steak strip slider with a side salad. $17. Honestly, it wasn't worth it. The salad was small and the sliders were dry. There was barely any steak on the buns and the onion crunchies made it too salty. We have not been to The Social in several years due to an unsatisfactory prior visit. What a change. The setting is warm, with comfortable chairs and booths in subdued colors and clean lines. We first shared the perfectly balanced bruschetta and each of us had different entrees- all of which were delicious. The Reuben, seared fish tacos and the steak sliders were accompanied by piping hot, crispy fries and everything was pronounced terrific. Our waiter was Tyler who was friendly and efficient without being intrusive. Best of all he waited until we almost finished with the bruschetta before bringing the entrees. The server brought us a bottle of water with 2 glasses, unfortunately my glass was dirty with someone else's lipstick still on it, not my shade of pink. Ordered a spritz and a Bloody Mary for my hubby, good strong drinks for brunch. Ordered our breakfast, sourdough Benedict was huge! If you're a big eater, which I'm not, it's worth the price. I don't think a deli style ham should be used for this dish, they are too thin and didn't work for me. It should be a ham steak or crispy bacon. Eggs were poached perfectly, the sauce could use some work. The hash was fine, my husband ate it up. Server didn't check on us as often, had to flag her down. No music inside, it was a bit boring. I've had this on my must tries for what feels like forever and decided to stop in Sunday afternoon for a few drinks and ended up staying longer to enjoy some food. I originally had this places saved to check out their brunch, but really enjoyed our time at the bar. Our bartender was wonderful and very attentive. She listened to what I liked and though I prefer sour beer she brought me a cider to try and it was better than I'd anticipated, good call. We decide to share the cubano and I also ordered the wedge salad. I wish d of known it was the worlds biggest wedge salad or I'd of saved it for another time because I don't come close to finishing it ha ha. It was crispy and tasty. It was plated well and was really good, the cubano was also good, but I'd of preferred different bread. It still had great flavor that's just my personal preference.
