To my surprise the owners texted to check on our progress. Not once did they ever have anything but a positive attitudes. We made it in and got settled very late. The time difference had us off slightly. The whole cabin was well furnished and extremely clean. It was very roomy and came with amenities most 5 star hotels don't! I was completely shocked at the experience and have now found a new place for my family to go whenever we feel a need to "get away", which is often! Upon our departure, the owner was even nicer than when we first met! I am so pleased with this place I will recommend you trying it out for yourself. If you don't like your first night is on me! ***Wink wink*** Make sure to check in for great coupons and little bonus gifts. The water makes you sick to where you have to go to the hospital. I wouldn't recommend this Inn for anyone. And it isnt up to code, hasn't been for years and years. I'm worried for anyone's safety being in there. And the owner is completely aware of all of these problems but refuses to fix any of these issues.

For the slopes, they had so many lines for all different level of skiing. They had multiple sides to the mountain and even had a bar at the top that offered alcohol, snacks, non-alcoholic drinks and even chili and hot dogs. I am at a beginner level and the green lines were still a tad more difficult, but everyone going down looks out for everyone. I was very impressed with the ski patrol as a fell quite a few times and they were there to check on me. The area itself was very clean and again, everything is easily walkable. I noticed an outdoor playground for the kiddos when it's warmer out to play on. The food options here are good. Almost everywhere was a bit crowded, but we were able to wait for our food and then take it back to the Airbnb. I was very impressed with this place on every level. I will be coming back and staying longer next time.

This was a time saver. -Do get to the mountain by mid-morning to secure close parking, maximize your ski time, and enjoy the runs before the crowds arrive (and they will). -Do consider coming on a Wednesday. A lift ticket in 2026 is only $45 versus the $105 I dropped for a Saturday. Shout-out to the ski staff for their overall hospitality and making sure folx got onto the lifts quickly and safely. It appeared to be a smooth operation. Another shout-out to the ski instructors who transformed my nieces into skilled skiers in just one lesson. Though this was my first time at Crystal Mountain, it will not be my last.

The Dempsey Manor didn't have any vacancy for that night, but the Ramsdell did and I'm so glad! It was really nice to just walk over to the nearby antique shops, and then after a movie at the Vogue just a step back down the sidewalk to go to bed. This hotel is clean and has a comfortable living area. The complimentary breakfast is good and it includes coffee, juice, bagels,waffles, breakfast sandwiches, and cereal. The location is close to downtown Manistee (including Lake Michigan beaches, etc.) The staff is professional and friendly. Very soon there will be a Starbucks adjacent to the parking lot. While the timing was inconvenient, the larger concern was the staff's complete lack of empathy regarding the disruption and the effort involved in relocating all of our belongings, including clearing out the kitchen and food items. I requested a refund for the remaining nights so we could move to another hotel, which required approval from the property since the reservation was made through a third-party booking service. Although staff verbally stated they were willing to accommodate this, they repeatedly refused to answer the calls needed to authorize the refund. This lack of cooperation made an already stressful situation unnecessarily difficult.
