My woodburning furnace flue was a bit complicated and an absolute mess (worst of the year, according to Scott). He went over the associated problems and possible solutions, with an emphasis on safety issues. The fireplace will be getting an insert, and Scott made recommendations for a few fixes that I could do myself. Fair, square, practical, and informative; it is good fortune to find such a person, and he's the one I'll call in the future. I'd say he's the one you should call as well. My highest recommendation.

Summit Sweeps cleaned out the wall and properly connected the dryer to the vent so that it would exhaust to the outside. Once I moved into the new house and I started using the fireplace it would stop working after a few minutes of use. After repeated calls and texts over 19 months this sub contractor finally came out to fix it. Darryl Sparkman replaced 2 parts (and didn't think these or the labor should be covered under a warranty). The next time I used the fireplace I noticed that one of the ceramic logs was broken, most of the logs were not placed back in the correct positions and the flames were blue (gas not adjusted correctly). I asked him to come back to fix these issues on Sept 25, 2016, he has told me twice that he could come out to fix these issues but as of today Oct 25, 2016 he has not been here to fix anything. I would not recommend doing any business with Sparkmaster Mechanical or Darryl Sparkman.
