After a vehicle accident Jeep was towed to DCI then they came & towed to their shop! No notification to us the owners of the vehicle for 18 days. What a total dis justice when one call would have stopped the outrageous price gouging! $2,000 later they decide to let us know it's racking up dollars. No personality-no people skills-transaction took place in the wind outside-maybe now the can afford a clip board to write on. Receipt didn't go through carbons So then it was hand written in on paperwork! Real professional. Never would I recommend this terrible run company! Any travelers worst nightmare is to experience car trouble while out on vacation, let alone 1500 miles away from home. Our 2016 2500 Dodge Ram Mega Cab went into "Limp Mode" just as we pulled into Custer, SD. This occurred on a Sunday afternoon which happened to be the day before the 4th of July Holiday as well. The following day as I prepared for a tow to the closest dealership which was about an hour away we made the call to Black Hills Towing. Not only did Jeff and his son answer their phones quickly on a holiday but they provided us with a very reasonable price. Jeff arrived on time at our hotel July 5th and loaded our truck onto his trailer and got us on the road to be first in line at the dealership. Jeff was very personal and made the one hour ride enjoyable. It was nice to chat with him and laugh even though our situation was not the best. Jeff was very knowledgeable about the area, the local mechanics, and answered all our questions. It was very obvious that me and my wife were in a vulnerable situation with limited options and Jeff treated us like he would family. We can't say enough good things about Black Hills Towing company. Their expertise, efficiency, and kindness are unlike anything we have experienced. BOTH our cars broke down while we were visiting from out of town. Jeff and his son, repaired them both within a 24 hour period after towing our one car back to our airbnb. Highly recommend this company. Jeff was directed to us when we called AAA. AAA made a mistake and indicated we needed a jump. Jeff drove ~30 miles to give us a jump. When it turned out we did not need a jump he drove the 3 of us to Custer and left my wife and son to spend some time in the town as we went back to get the car with a trailer. Then he was able to suggest a garage in Rapid City that we could take the car to be looked at. Jeff was very nice and supported us the entire time. Love the dog. read more
