If you're looking for Clemson or South Carolina merchandise, or Charleston themed gifts to take home, Palmetto Moon is the place to go. They also stock merchandise for The Citadel and College of Charleston, so if you're into those schools or teams, you can buy it here without having to go downtown or onto the campus of those universities. The prices are less expensive than gift shops downtown, with the convenience of parking and being near so many other stores at Tanger. If you're a tourist, Tanger is probably on your way out of town and therefore, the perfect place to shop before leaving Charleston so you won't have to lug those bags around downtown. I understand why Palmetto Moon moved to Tanger, and they will get much more foot traffic here, but the store seems to have less space in between the aisles and tables. Also, this Palmetto Moon stocks more clothes and t-shirts, but fewer accesories, gifts, and shoes than other locations. I'm not sure if this is a permanent change or temporary for this location or time of year, but I'd love to see more tailgating gear, hats, and home products again.
