Response time by the owner Sindy was amazingly quick! Communication between the owner, the artist Nic and me was amazing. I had a super tight schedule and a really complex tattoo idea. They were available to accommodate me. Nic took extra care to make sure that my memorial tattoo in honor of my father was extra special. My father would fold origami elephants from dollar bills and give them away. The tattoo is located on my left forearm so I can see it all the time, so it was important that it be done correctly. Nic's detail work was impeccable and it was a joy to be in the studio with him (even though I was there for a sad reason). I don't live in Vegas but I will absolutely come back for more with Nic and I would recommend him to anyone!!! read more

My girlfriends decided to all get matching tattoos and this place was recommended to my best friend who was in charge of putting this whole thing together. Our "artist" had a hard time adjusting the size of our tattoos and was adamant that it would ruin the quality of the design if we wanted it to be a smaller size, when in reality she just couldn't do it. All of our tattoos were inconsistent even though she was just tracing it. And we were charged $130 each for a 2 1/2 in. infinity symbol with a flower that was a different color each. The only good thing about it was how fast it took, but then again maybe that wasn't the best since the lining was off. It also says on Yelp that if you check in you can get $10 off a tattoo that's over $100, but when we asked her about it and showed her...she said she didn't know anything about it, but whatever. Only one of the girls in my group applied it to her tab. To be honest for the work that was done and the size of the tattoo that was done in about 10 min....it was over priced. But what do I know...this is my one and only tattoo. I don't think I'll be getting another one, especially after this experience. read more

Came in on a Monday 2/15 for a small tat, my artist was named Brandon the sketch was perfect. Once he started my tattoo it went downhill. Lines were all over the place. When he finished the tat I had to ask him to go over it again because it was spotty. I am extremely disappointed with this tat. As you can see the top of the j has pretty much no color. The lining is horrible. Same goes for the spade lining is off. Waste of time and money. I would appreciated if from the jump he said he doesn't feel comfortable doing the piece. I had a very small piece done by Emma earlier this week. While I don't feel my piece is big enough to really judge her artwork on, it's exactly what I wanted. The lines are very clean and shading is nice and dark. I'll be posting a photo once it's done healing. More than anything, I was incredibly impressed by the professionalism of everyone in the shop. We came in for a walk-in around 12 and no one was available at the time but would be around 2. I went ahead and put down a deposit to make an appointment and was able to get tattooed no problem. They do require a deposit for appointments. Overall, I had a great experience at Black Omen. I would recommend them based the cleanliness of their shop and the welcoming atmosphere the shop brought. My piece is quite small so check out your artist's work beforehand. read more

This review is for Kelly who was previously under a different yelp page! I found Kelly through yelp and his 5 star ratings. Located at the very end of small strip mall next to an indian restaurant, don't be deterred by the location! My friend and I walked in for piercings in the evening and Kelly was able to accommodate us as walk-ins. We each got one earlobe piercing and we couldn't be happier with the outcome! I was very picky about the location and Kelly was kind and patient even when I switched the piercing spot multiple times. His prices are very reasonable, cheaper than most of the piercing artists around town. Overall, quick and easy process! At the end he gave us after care instructions. The artists are helpful and funny - and the shop is covered in a TON of art, toys, and fun decor (which really helps entertain and distract while you're sitting for hours getting repeatedly poked by needles). Great at 1st. Scooter was cool. Then it was time for a follow up to finish my tattoo & all hell broke loose. I was told when I 1st came that it was a 1 time fee for my whole tattoo (I also have a witness). Now I was told I got to make a deposit & that my tattoo was worth more than the price I was originally told. I wouldn't of had a problem with this at all if this was what I was told from the beginning. I even talked to whoever controls the Instagram page just to work something out because me & Scooter were getting nowhere, & for some reason I was still "wrong" in the situation. It was all about getting more money out of me & I wouldn't of paid them & got a tattoo at all because I have a spending budget as I'm sure most people do. I know it's Vegas so they're use to big spenders but I just thought they would care about every ccustomer, at least that's how Scooter made me feel in the beginning. But thats what they do to con you sadly. I wish I could've just finished my tattoo or just get some money back to help pay somebody else to finish it because now I'm just walking around with unfinished work, which of course doesn't look too good.
