I've been looking for someone who was an amazing fine line artist to do my lotus flower tattoo, and Amethyst was everything I was looking for and more. Absolutely professional throughout the process, quick to respond to my query for my tattoo, and ideas for the image, Lunar Ink was exactly what I expect from a great tattoo studio. Amethyst walked me through the entire process and made sure I was comfortable with the size, and detailing of the tattoo. Any additions were discussed and she always had me look the tattoo over to ensure I was happy with the work. The studio was awesome, clean, and the vibes were so calming. It's literally my favorite studio I've been to (and I have three tattoos by different artists already) Was this place a hit? 10/10 yes! Worth EVERY PENNY. So much so, that I plan on getting another tattoo with them.

Experience: I got my matching tattoos with my cousin and coordinated with Amethyst in advance to book time with her and her husband John. She also customized our initial design idea which I loved! I was so nervous as this was my first tattoo, but she made me feel so comfortable! She kept me informed throughout and also let me choose a Squishmallow to hold onto for emotional support. This was my best tattoo experience yet. I have sat for dozens of hours getting tattooed, and while I value the experience, being tattooed by Amethyst was special in specific ways. Getting this tattoo meant a lot to me, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience than the one we had with Amethyst this past weekend in Las Vegas. Inspired by the Welcome to Holland poem, my friend and I got matching tulip tattoos--something deeply personal, but also full of beauty and meaning. Me and my sister had an amazing experience here! Even the steps to make an appointment and discuss artwork was great. Amethyst was responsive and so kind! We set up the appointment, sent some artwork inspiration and got the artistic work up a couple days before the appointment in case we wanted any changes. The studio itself is private. The decor is amazing and it's very relaxing. All steps and details were explained during the tattooing process. She used numbing spray which helped a lot! An aftercare kit was also provided (and it's in a very cute bag!). I will definitely be coming back here! read more

I got my first tattoo at Lunar Ink, and I truly couldn't have chosen a better place for the experience. I contacted Amethyst ahead of time to start the process and shared a representation of my idea--something meaningful, but not fully formed. Amethyst took the time to really understand what the tattoo was meant to express. Together, that idea was turned into a finished tattoo that feels intentional, personal, and exactly right. Brian was the one that did this design and he did a really great job and was really professional. The owner was there and he's a really nice guy and the facility is extremely clean and inviting. I recommend this shop to anyone.

We arrived a little after 10 a.m., and there were already about 20-30 people waiting. Still, the line moved surprisingly fast--my total wait time was around 45 minutes. After that, it was quick and done. For the price and the reputation of the place, I went in with some skepticism, but I left impressed. I'd definitely go back and would consider getting more tattoos there in the future.

We found ourselves here the night before our flight, as I'm not one to trust a super cheap shop. Tony was amazing. I wanted to fit into the theme of north arrows but I didn't want to be literal as I already have a compass tattoo. I'm from Oregon and wanted a stalk of lavender and a bee. Tony understood the assignment and made it so artsy I can't stop looking at it. I'm not sure if I asked for an arrow, as I was exhausted from being out as sober support for my other surveyors after hours, but there is a shape of one with the bee and flower. I traced the lines on a photo because I am that professional and so my qa/qc . I truly love it! The whole appointment was a wonderful experience and now we both have a bee tattoo. I never get spontaneous tattoos and I'm so glad this worked out so well. I doubt I'll do it again unless I find Tony! I'll likely find him/travel if I get another larger tattoo in the future. Also, I want to note he was very respectful and aware I was a child of trauma with issues and a fidget toy. He not only watched for any buddy language, but also empathize with me in his families life experiences. Easiest tattoo experience I have had and it erased a "bad" experience relating to another tattoo artist, though their work was also very good.

Instead of handling the confusion professionally, the communication became rude and disrespectful. Customers should not be insulted or blamed over a payment issue, especially when screenshots and proof were provided. The tattoo work may be good, but professionalism and customer service matter too. By the end, the whole situation felt unorganized and unprofessional.

Brilliant artist, honed and focused craft, clean and safe studio. Amethyst is a highly talented, beautifully creative perfectionist. I am so grateful to have stumbled upon Lunar Ink. It was my very first tattoo so there was a lot of anxiety about design and pain. But she was reassuring and confident from the moment she opened her studio door for me to the moment I left. Even before I sat in the chair my anxiety was gone. She explained everything before and during the inking process. There was no pain to the point where I dozed off for a few minutes! I absolutely love my tattoo. Amethyst was able to bring my idea to life in a few simple steps during our drafts conversation. I would love to get a second one but she has set the bar so high that I'm not sure I'll be able to find somebody in the east coast like her. So here's how it went down! I went to Vegas and was like OMG I need a tattoo while I'm here so I'll never forget how amazing this was BUT, I only had 1/2 a day left of my trip! So I looked up tattoos shops near by and called around. Every single one of them heard my story and still said they're booked and couldn't do it. They obviously didn't care about my situation. Sad, hopeless and at the verge of giving up I stumbled across Lunar and omg the lady I spoke to, I believe her name was Amethyst, was so nice, and when I told her about my story she said OMG and I said OMG I knowwww and then we both said "OMG" together and I knew at that moment that this was meant to be lol! Anywho, So I get there and the place was OMG (lol) the place was so nice clean and VERY friendly. I got a tattoo and it didn't hurt one bit. They know what they're doing Forsure .
