Was here for a quick gathering with some friends. Stunning views, especially around sunset. Parking is terrible, disorganized and people just end up squeezing into areas that aren't parking spots? That was the most stressful part of this visit. Staff in general was ok, they were present, but not friendly nor welcoming. Thankfully our wait staff member was awesome! I made sure that she received a generous gratuity, as I can't imagine working at this location. The mix of people in the restaurant was interesting. Some were treating the staff members so rudely, it was hard to ignore. The patrons made this visit not so great either. I had the clam dip and chip appetizer and it was DELICIOUS!!!! All of the food options my friends ordered looked amazing and they sounded very pleased with all of their food and the drink specials. I will go back, if I'm invited to attend an event here, as the food was great, the wait staff was great, and it was clean with a nice ambiance.

My sister in law made us reservations for our family at Black Point Inn. If you're visiting Maine I think there are more scenic and enjoyable spots to visit like Ogunquit Beach, Marginal Way, and Two Lights. This is a restaurant and hotel. Most of my family ordered lobster which came with corn. I ordered a green curry dish. My family members who ordered lobster with corn reported the lobster was good but the corn was not. The portions were small so they were still left wanting more. My green curry dish was tasteful, but again portion size was minuscule. It was just a handful of steamed vegetables with green curry on top. I was also left wanting something with more sustenance. There is not much to see within the vicinity but a hidden path at the other end of the parking lot overseeing some water. This place is more upscale and pricey.

    Dis-gusting.

So terrible. SO terrible. Very few options, settled for a lobster roll on a gf bun. Bun tasted like it had been frozen, and freezer burned, for over a year. The lobster was mushy and just BAD. Absolutely the worst meal I've had out in as long as I can remember, if not ever. My husband, non gf, ordered a burger which came out no sooner than 45 minutes after my roll. It looked like it had cooked about 45 too long. Not a place to ever return to.

This was my first visit to the Black Point Inn. The inn itself is very warm and cozy, with multiple fireplaces in the lobby and restaurant area. It's all dark wood interior and makes you want to curl up with a hot tea and book. We didn't spend the night as it's only a 15 min drive from our house. But we wanted to try the restaurant. The restaurant was bright and airy with 3 areas, the inside restaurant area, a sun room area, and the outdoors deck. We ate inside as the temperatures were cooling off. Of note they will bring you blankets to wrap around you out on the deck which I think is a great touch. My one real complaint is that the menu was limited. The appetizers are mostly shellfish based or contain nuts (pesto), which if you are unfortunate enough to be allergic to either really limits what you can order. They could use more variety among the appetizers. The main course did have more of a variety but there were also limited options there. There were 4 of us, 3 of us ordered the steak frites and my husband ordered the duck. The steaks were cooked perfectly and do tender. The duck was overcooked but still had a lovely flavor. It came with a barley risotto which while it had an ok flavor was quite stodgy and you couldn't eat a lot of it. I did start with the french onion soup which I will say was perfect! Will definitely consider going again at some point. The atmosphere and view are really nice

I went to the front desk explain the situation told them that I have clothes and if they could give me a bag to put the nasty towels into and if they could actually give me two bath towels or wash cloth and hand towel to be able to shower in the morning. If it wasn't for the fact that I actually have to shower in the morning before work, I would be absolutely disgusted to step into this tub. I have Lysol wipes so I will clean the sink toilet and tub before I use them. I mean post the first time I peed in the toilet and it immediately overflowed everywhere. There's no Kleenex in her room. I have a half a roll of toilet paper there's not a second role in the event that I actually need it. But also when I came into the room that Air air-conditioning was off and it was 88° in the room. The door to the refrigerator was open hence the refrigerator is now warm but the little back part is completely frozen so I'm not sure that my food for the next few days is gonna survive in this refrigerator And I can hear the guy next door having a very loud conversation with whoever is having it with. What I can't say that's positive Your staff are incredibly kind, and when I came down and explained what happened with a toilet and explained that I fixed the toilet but that I would like a bag to put all the towels into so it's not to have to cause access things on the housekeeper they were very kind about it gave me a bag. I told them I had gloves and they asked me which house I needed to replace and I said all of them basically. The quality of your towels I don't have anything nice to say about them so I probably should not say anything at all but the fact that all the threads are coming out and they're lumpy and bumpy and I got red beer towels that are so thin I don't know what they're gonna dry I hate Amazon China quality stuff. And that is definitely what I'm going to compare your towels to did you buy them on Amazon? Definitely have Kleenex in the room I have allergies definitely give more than a quarter of a bowl of toilet paper. I don't mind if there's a quarter on the roll we don't waste but put an extra roll under for when that might be gone. As a flight attendant, I don't get a drink my water on the plane I have to chug 50 ounces of water in my room on my overnight which means I'm gonna use the toilet a lot and now I can't even even drink my water because I don't have enough toilet paper to be able to drink it with. Back again, I have high hopes that you guys can fix some of your things probably not the thickness of the walls and hearing the entire conversation of the people on the other side of me But scrubbing a tub and making sure the toilet flushes definitely replace the showerhead and replace the peeling paint that's falling on my head if he knew that Airline employees are coming to a room, turn the air conditioner on don't have it set on heat Also, I pulled the filter out of air conditioner. They were disgusting. I did go ahead and clean them and put them back. But I'm an owner homeowner and I have allergies and I'm very keen on cleaning my air filter. Your filter has not been cleaned in months if even then. Your rooms would smell better if you take out that little air filter that's a washable air filter and get rinsed under some hot water give it a little disinfectant spray and put it back in easy peasy. I know that's a lot but as a former healthcare provider and a former restaurant manager. You guys can do better I have faith in you guys. You have a wonderful staff., that's the best start you can have step up your housekeeping

We were literally on the beach. The house was built in the 1890s and it is beautiful! It does have updates to it since then but you don't lose a bit of the charm. We stayed in the old inn keepers room on the main floor, and it had its own bathroom. Our room had a window AC unit and it's own mini fridge as well as a ceiling fan. I do think it needs more outlets but we just used one in the bathroom. They provide you with bath towels, fresh beach towels everyday, washcloths, face towels and bath mats. Resa is the manager their and was absolutely wonderful. She cooked delicious breakfasts and is available if you need anything. One day we had avocado toast, scrambled eggs, fresh baked blueberry buckle, blueberry corn muffins, and chocolate oatmeal protein cookies. Various breads, bagels, and English muffins are available as well as butter, peanut butter, and jelly. There is always coffee, tea, and water and ice on hand. In addition to breakfast the house has a whole closet FULL of board games and activities to play if you find yourself inside for an afternoon storm. There is plenty of common areas to hang out and do a puzzle or play a game. The house also has plenty of beach items for you to use including beach chairs, umbrellas, footballs, volleyballs, sand toys, bikes, helmets, and various other things. You do need to park on the street, but there was ample parking and you don't really have to move your car that often because there is so much within walking distance. Overall I couldn't speak highly enough about our stay. Consider us new regulars.

The whole house was beautifully clean, warm and welcoming. It's literally a stones throw from the beach and where we all sit once we are there, so we got out of walking the mile back to the other house our friends rent. Also, the breakfast served in the morning was delicious! Homemade bread, mini egg and ham burritos and plenty of coffee, tea and OJ. I was in heaven! Not to mention, the sub shop is across the street, so anything you need is within arms reach. We will most definitely be back again next year! Even though our room had a great view of the beach, we might try for a different room just to see what they're all like. Very happy with our stay! The hotel is gorgeous. You walk in and think this is the luxury I've been looking for all my life. Brianna was amazing, welcomed us in with prosecco, Saratoga sparkling water, and a smile showing that she was excited to see us and super kind! Quick check-in, perfect parking, and then went up to the room, which was gorgeous, all of the elements in the room, as well as the lobby gave great wow factor and intentional decor decision-making. Stellar, exactly what you want to see when you're on vacation! There is a cute bar in the lobby, we never went downstairs to the restaurant, but that also looked very nice, and the Spinning Jenny breakfast/coffee shop was absolutely outstanding. Highly recommend! Now, for the quick deductions, they were minimal in nature, the TV only had some live channels from spectrum, in 2026, I would expect streaming options, but there were none. Nor could you even connect your own streaming. Second, late checkout was an additional $75. Again for a luxury hotel, in which you're already paying a premium, it simply did not make sense to me. Third, the bed was oddly misshapen, and created a pile up on one side because of a weight disparity, which was pretty uncomfortable. Le Labo, as a toiletry option is sensational, and we loved it, however, the minis that were expected to provide shampoo, conditioner, and body gel for everyone in the room did not feel enough, and it feels a little uncomfortable to ask for more, so perhaps the larger refillable containers in the bathroom in the room may eliminate that issue. Lastly, and it was minimal interaction so maybe not the biggest deal, but the woman who checked us out today, (she had a British accent), just felt marginally kind. Everyone else went above and beyond, from the bartender to the coffee shop man to Brianna, and I think Laura(Trisha??) may have been the second girls's name, regardless, all of them were extremely invested in our happiness, the British woman this morning not so much. Highly recommend this place, we will be back!
