This is not a place for quiet reflection or carefully structured conversation. It's a place where order and chaos collide and neither one fully wins. But if you're the kind of person who can tolerate that, or even enjoy it... there's something undeniably compelling about it. If you want quiet, look elsewhere. But if you're willing to step into something louder, messier, and far more alive, then this place offers exactly that. It's not refined. It's not restrained. Stopped in for the first time on our family vacation this summer. The service was great and the menu had a good variety of pub fare. We enjoyed the nachos and clam chowder. The whole belly clams were just ok, but overall not bad enough to ruin the evening as the setting right on the beach and great live music makes up for it. Drove hours looked for a place to eat. This place said it was open. It wasn't. Total waste of our time.

Stopped in and had lunch there. Wait staff was great. We both had the famous teriyaki chicken sandwich. Not so famous.....chicken was dry, not much taste. I would avoid that entree. I think the place is known for its nite life with live music and drinks. I would probably just stick to that if we went again. Ok place otherwise. read more

The Brunswick is our favorite hang in OOB when we visit. The beach front spot, the live music, the attentive wait and bar staff, it all makes for a fun afternoon. We hadn't been up north for a while so it was nice to stop by this past weekend. We got our people watching fix, heavy pours and great tunes. While we usually don't grab food we did order some bacon wrapped scallops and fries. The fries aren't anything special, just crinkle style. The scallops were fantastic, huge pieces well flavored, came out hot and with a tangy mustard based sauce. We grabbed some bucket drinks as tourists do, full of rum and very tasty. Food was excellent had the buffalo chicken sandwich which I highly recommend. If you're in the area, this restaurant is a best bet for good food at a reasoanble price with great service. As local residents, we love coming to the Brunswick year round. With the back patio open, it's beautiful to be close to the beach, the food is good, the live bands are fun and the frozen drink selection is great! In the busy summer season - it does get PACKED! The reason for my lower review is because of the rude parking staff. I was yelled at and was essentially called a liar that I was trying to park in the lot for beach parking - when in fact we were going for lunch. I've always walked to the beach living so close, but with a friend on crutches from surgery we had to drive and park. Visited summer 2020 (middle of covid). If I'm not mistaken its one of the only restaurant/ bar that has beach access on that street. Because mostly everyone wants a table on the beach or the patio, there was a line so prepare for that. There is a time constraint by which they have to stop serving alcohol on the beach and by then they ensure all tabs are closed in advance and offered us to merge to another table they prepared for us. There was great music, good vibes. Everything you would out of a summer night out, plus that view of the moon just WOW. Can't wait to be back in the New England area and visit again read more

We regularly visit The Brunswick. We visited this past weekend to see Motor Booty. We arrived early for dinner and drinks. They had some great specials. We very much enjoyed the cheeseburger flatbread. I'd love to see that on their regular menu. Our server was great and did his best even though they were shorthanded on an extremely busy night. Hey, headed to "swick" this past Friday evening with my wife and a bunch of our family and friends. What a fun night of dancing and just celebrating. The band, Quiet Riot wasn't all that quiet as they blasted the dance floor with hard rock songs where you can feel the beat and move your feet. It really was entertaining. We didn't order food, however the drinks were flavorful and really worth it. The bar staff were very friendly and accomidating, especially when we needed water due to it being so hot in the dance area. It would benefit the establishment to get an overhead fan or air conditioning. They could even tap into the latest heat pump craze. We arrived early for lunch, 11:30, and I think that was a great advantage. We were able to pick a large picnic table in the covered part of the outdoor restaurant which was great for our party of 7, two of whom were young children. We started with bloody Mary's which tasted like a thick mix but even so, they were good, although not a lot of vodka to them. As an appetizer, we ordered the fried pickles and they were ok. Four of us had the halibut sandwiches which everyone was very satisfied with. For an upcharge, we substituted waffle fries for the kettle chips and we got a plentiful basket of them. The other choices were just ok. It was lovely eating right on the beach. We could only imagine how crazy this place gets with 5 separate bars, a live band, and a dance floor. The service was really attentive but of course, very few tables were filled. Our experience was ok. People eat here? I'm not sure about those reviews, but consider mine to be based on the beach-side scene and not their salads. My favorite thing about the Brunswick is their "no shower happy hour" style that makes you feel welcome coming right off the beach with sand on your toes. The long bar outside and other bars inside paired with super speedy bartenders makes it easy to get a drink, even on crazy July 4th weekends! Pair my favorite cocktail with some great live music jams and I'm quite content for an hour or two, which is all you need to leave feeling suds up for the walk home. read more

All summer they've had kick ass bands playing outside on the patio and having dance hip-hop music inside for the younger crowd great food great service everybody's always so friendly this past weekend I went and saw SUG a box I knew three of the bandmembers and two weekends before that I went and saw the inflatable's and I knew the guitar player and the singer and something stupid plays there year-round I do recommend this place without a doubt read more

Can't beat the location, the versatility. You can sit at the outside bar, the covered patio, one of four indoor bars or tables. At least 25 TVs for sports, classic pub/ bar food and lighter salads. Live music often and even dancing. Good for families. Sadly no beer on tap, but I can get past that. Very casual. Could use more parking as half the lot is held for the upstairs condos. No handicapped parking for my cane weilding family, so had to drop them off and park five blocks away, although paid lots are available. read more

I'll be honest, this review is solely based on the service, patio, and drinks. I have never eaten here...and I'm fairly certain I never plan to... We all know that OOB is a tourist trap in the Summer months, which is inevitable, however, I sometimes like to make my way into OOB for some prime people watching and a good time. The Brunswick is always a stop, as they have a great outdoor area overlooking the beach. One of the things that I appreciate is that they are always featuring local talent (bands, singers, etc.) in their outdoor space, so there is always live entertainment. As far as the drinks...are they the best? No. Do they suffice given the live music and the view of the beach, sure! I normally get the rum bucket and it's appropriately priced and you get a lot of drink all at once, and it can be shared! The service can be spotty, but in general, the staff is usually nice. The inside of the venue is certainly divey, so I avoid the Brunswick during the winter months for that reason. However, for the summer, it is a solid place for drinks with a view and live jams in the background! read more

I stayed in one of the condos just above the Swick bar. I got to enjoy the nightlife from my private balcony which was lovely. I enjoyed a birds eye view of all the usual night life you would expect from a bar scene. Including but not limited to people peeing in the bush area between the beach and bar, old ladies drunk falling over in the crowd and people falling and dropping all their food. Live/regular music seems to shut down about 12:30. I would say based mainly on the music selection, it seems to bring an average crowd aged between 35-50 in the evening. read more
