The rooms are beautifully appointed and comfortable, and the daily breakfast is generous and delicious. We also loved the thoughtful extras: a cozy tea bar, complimentary bikes, beach towels, and even Tommy Bahama chairs for the beach. Those little touches made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. Location is great--close to a small beach and also the town. There are several restaurants even closer you can walk to as well. If you're looking for a place in Kennebunkport that truly goes above and beyond, the Harbor Inn is it.

We only drove to dinner one night, the rest of the stay we had quite nice meals within a block or so of the hotel. We stayed in the perkins suite on the second floor. Nice sized room. Roomy bathroom, good shower, decent counter space and several drawers. Felt clean and new, like it had been remodeled not long ago. You knew you were in an older hotel, but the room was clean and well kept. Comfortable seating in front of the TV. They've upgraded to a larger TV than shows on many pictures. It was easy to pull out from the wall and switch out the hotel cable feed for our own streaming device. Plenty of convenient outlets. Good sized fridge. Bed comfortable and room can be kept reasonably dark and cold. A small missed opportunity not having a few more pieces of furniture in the room. There was plenty of available space where they could have put a small desk for working, a bench at the foot of the bed, or a floor lamp for evening lighting. All of these would have not crowded the room and would have made the stay more pleasant. Continental breakfast provided is very basic. If you want to be in the midst of Kennebunkport action, it's a good place to stay. But there are many other great options in the area, and the lack of service, especially around help with check in/out is enough to prevent us from ever returning.

I've had rooms at a Hampton Inn that were roomier and much better furnished for $150/night. The staff was friendly, but in one case did not follow up on a promise. We had dinner reservations at the property restaurant for 6:00 pm and asked if they could move it to 6:30 or 7:00. The gentleman at the front desk said he would check and let us know. We never heard from him. VERY disappointed in our stay and recommend to all to avoid this property. The Auberge brand has been greatly tarnished in our eyes.

It was great that they had these for us to utilize. The bikes should be covered during storage, however. They were a bit rusty. This was the priciest place that we stayed during our 7 night trip, but I wouldn't consider it the best. After our stay, I do feel that our stay should not have cost us so much.

With the prices here , that adds insult to injury. So , Old World Charm ? Not so much !

Loved having a coffee pot with good coffee and the breakfast delivery was awesome! The grounds are pretty and there are boats you can use - it was too cold to use them while we were there. We walked into town which a nice plus. Lots of great restaurants to choose from. Karen was sweet and professional. She gave us all the info we needed and recommended some places to eat. And the cookies in the office were delicious!
