I went to black rock for the first time. They were so helpful there. I was also placing an order for someone else and they were very patient while I was trying to get them the details on the drink. They accidentally made me an iced coffee when I had asked for a warm one and they pleasantly took it back and fixed it immediately. I was grateful for them not making me feel like they are mad. The music is soft and the vibe was very inviting! The seating was super comfortable, I could definitely see myself spending time here. Lowkey felt like a Starbucks but it wasn't haha. I think it will start to get better when the staff and business is more organized. They didn't put my name on my coffee or even an order number so it was kinda confusing, there wasn't much communication between front lady and the lady in the back. The bagel was a disappointment, but what can you really except from a coffee shop :( would be nice to have fresh pastries! Not recommended if you're looking for a place to read or get some work done on your computer. I came in the afternoon a few times and on both occasions the staff were maliciously making loud noises and evidently doing what they could to get any customers to leave. By the time I left all four of the other customers had left after what appeared from the noise and employees banging to the beat of music with tools. They also had a few people I witness would come in through the front door, go behind the bar to make a drink and proceed to laugh and joke with the staff while drinking then leave. This does not seem very hydronic. Will not be coming back here after multiple attempts to give them another go. read more

I got this on a rough day when I felt I was falling asleep sitting up and taking care of my toddler. I wanted something that would have the espresso, but also some flavor. This iced Mexican mocha not disappoint. It had a slight kick with the cinnamon and I got it with reduced sugar so it wasn't overbearing. My daughter just moved to McKinney and one cold early Sunday morning we came to bring the new home owners breakfast and coffee. I googled closest coffee shop to her home and Black Rock came up. Ordered the caramel blondie hot 1/2 sweet for myself and daughter and ordered the cold brew IV for SIL. Hubby doesn't drink coffee. Drinks were made to perfection. My only complaint- the McKinney site does not have an online site set up yet BUT- when we got there the drive thru wasn't very crowded and went through in a breeze. AND I gave them my daughter's phone number for a reward program. Love those reward programs!! These days I love to order online and pickup having it be ready. Hopefully they get that fixed soon- but I will be returning either way. read more
