So when I took it in the team there hooked me up and got me right, explained to me that i probably bought some cartridge and stylus that would make my music sound like crap they got me set up with a pretty good stylus and carriage and installed it for me and tested to make sure it worked, quick and easy too. These guys are awesome and screw amazon, listening to records is an art that should be listened to with the right equipment not some cheap amazon baloney. Adam helped me build my first true hi-fi system with turntable, amp, speakers and subwoofer on a relatively modest budget. I worked in electronic retail sales on commission in the late 90's and early 2000's with extensive customer service training so I do not say this lightly. I was originally planning to buy just a turntable from Soundscape and buy everything else online but Adam let me bring some speakers I could only find online to their beautiful showroom and compare them side-by-side with some Sonus Faber Lumina's. I ended up returning the ones I got online in favor of the much better looking and better sounding Sonus Fabers. It didn't hurt that Adam gave me a great deal on the like new demo/floor models and a demo amplifier that paired with them perfectly. Moreover, Adam helped me set up my turntable, lent me an expensive microphone for subwoofer room correction (which made a big difference), and gave me lots of technical support and education for getting everything set up properly. Throughout this whole experience I never felt rushed or persuaded to spend beyond my original very modest budget. I also got better deals than I could find anywhere else. Well, as most of my hopes and dreams of the 1990s, that plan needed a bit of a revision. After many years of use, including the enthusiastic tweeter poking of my young sons, the speakers needed to be repaired. I found Speaker Repair & Reconing Center of Colorado on Yelp - and based on the reviews, I had high expectations. Even so, Brandon surpassed the high bar that had already been set. He tested each speaker individually, (tweeters and mid ranges..), and when he identified speakers that needed to be replaced, he ensured he procured them from the same manufacturers of the original speakers. Beyond the speakers, he even conditioned the internal electronics, Before I left the shop with my newly refreshed and rebuilt speakers, Brandon let me listen to each one, and made sure all the frequencies were crisp and clear and powerful. The price was beyond reasonable for the work that he did - I could really tell he was doing it for the love of the craft more than financial gain. If you have any speakers that need some repair or diagnostic evaluation - I recommend you have a talk with Brandon. I am confident you will be as overjoyed with the result as I am. I would not recommend bringing DJ equipment here for repair…read more I brought my Pioneer DJ Opus Quad in because both of the top USB ports stopped working. Before bringing it in, I had found multiple Pioneer DJ forum posts describing what appeared to be the same issue, and the repair seemed fairly straightforward. I emailed with Ian for about a week, explained the issue, and shared the forum posts I found. He told me he was confident he could fix it and just needed to open the unit to confirm which parts needed to be ordered. After I dropped it off, they had the unit for 4 full weeks before the issue was even confirmed. At that point, Ian confirmed it was the same issue described in the forums and told me I could pick it up while we waited for parts. I happened to be out of town that week, so I left it there in case the parts came in while I was gone. Two more weeks went by with no update. I emailed asking if there was any status on the parts because I didn't want to pick it up if they were going to arrive soon. I received no response, so after two days I went in and picked it up. When I got the unit home, I immediately noticed something rattling around inside. I also found a bag of screws inside the case, so it clearly had not been fully reassembled. The entire top of the unit was loose. When I carefully lifted it to see what was rattling, I found that all the plastic screw posts along the bottom of the unit had been broken off of the top plate. One of the broken pieces was loose inside the unit, and the others still had screws in them. So after having my deck for 7 weeks, with very little communication, I got it back in worse physical condition than when I dropped it off. Even if the USB ports are eventually repaired, the top plate can no longer be properly secured without replacing the damaged plastic top plate. At this point, I do not trust them to work on the unit again. If they could not open it without breaking it, I have no confidence they can repair the original problem or the damage that occurred while it was in their possession. This was a 1-star experience. I brought my deck in for repair, waited 7 weeks, received almost no communication, and got it back damaged.
