    I tried to work with Boulder Home Theater company to have a TV installed above our fireplace. While I waited to hear back due to the person I needed the info being off, Boulder Home Theater reached out and said "Upon further consideration and review from the owner we are not comfortable putting a recessed box in that location. It's too much of a liability for us the scope of this project mainly for any tile damage and not knowing what's behind--and possible heat-leak up from the fireplace. If this was a normal standard drywall wall setup not above the fireplace, we would have no issues quoting that." This even before I was able to let them know what the materials and wall type were and it's an electric fireplace with the ability to have the heat turned off which I let them know prior to this response. If they can't even wait for my response on the materials or work with me on the install but just say you aren't worth the hassle, well that isn't a company I would want to work with when it comes to installing TV's. They were also priced higher before this then the numerous other companies I received quotes for. I had several jobs I was planning over the coming months but will take my business elsewhere.

HVAC companies, electricians and many others need to learn from Jay in that regard. Other great thing: -- Quick scheduling -- Clean work -- Have everything I asked for on the spot in their truck I was so happy I asked them to do a second room as well, and invited them back next week to wire Ethernet to main level. Book them you will not regret it, and again I really appreciate you Jay that you charge in Boulder the same price people charge anywhere else in the country. Thank you!!

    Seriously so happy I found this crew!!! They will do great!…read more My home internet has been terrible for far too long and it's been frustrating trying to find something else..... the only thing that seemed like it would solve our problems was Starlink...: my husband wouldn't commit to helping me install it and wanted me to find someone who could do it and do it right! I poked around on the internet and I mainly ended up with random companies that were not "local" then I found Next Step Communications... I did their online form to get them to contact me and they did so basically instantly. The best part was that it was an actual person and not an automated system response. Jason & Ryan were on top of it and ready to help me however they could. I asked tons of questions and serval I probably asked serval times. My husband had some questions that I emailed them back and forth about. In no time it was evident that they were the ones that we wanted to install Starlink. The starlink equipment was ordered and the installation was scheduled. My starlink came sooner than expected and they adjusted their schedule to accommodate the early installation Their crew to install was two very nice guys who did a great job. Not only did they bring their booties to wear in the house but they literally had everything they needed in their vehicle. Ive had several different installers that have came to my home over the years and it usually stresses me out because they make an absolute mess and they have zero respect for your clean home and nice things. BUT Next Step Communications did a great job on the installation of my new Starlink service! The service requested was definitely completed with 100% satisfaction! It was so pleasant to have this experience with the crew from Next Step Communications. They even had a little shop vac to clean up behind themselves. Drop cloths, ladders of every size, mounts and cords for the starlink to adjust to their needs for this particular project. I felt 100% comfortable the entire time they were here and they were a pleasure to work with. Thanks guys for doing a nice job and doing your job, very well that is!

    Warning!!!! Do not go through Terracom systems. The worst customer service ever. Cory Wills,…read moreOperations Manager is terrible. They say they will return your calls but they don't. I called over a two month period of time to get the master code, in which they never provided me with when it was set up. They kept saying we could do it over the phone but couldn't get anyone to call me. They said they would send a tech out and never did and then again, no return calls. Finally, after 2 months, they said they were sending someone out. I asked if there would be a charge and they said no. A tech came out because they couldn't give me the code over the phone. The tech called another employee, got it immediately. I then fixed the system myself and was charged $190.00. $190.00 for a code they couldn't give me over the phone. The tech was at my house for 20 minutes but Cory Wills said he was there for 1 1/2 hours - a HUGE lie. When I spoke with Cory Wills, he felt that was a fair charge - $190.00. They could have provided this to me on the phone or when they installed the service. Don't go with this company for anything!!!!! They scam people and the customer service is terrible. The employees that come out for install are nice but the staff behind the phones and at their desk have no customer service etiquette. Terrible business and really awful people. Scam artists!

    I don't know if i can quite capture my Soundings experience in a review, but here goes. It was…read morenothing short of outstanding. The net of it is that there was never any pressure to buy - i had several interactions with the Soundings team over a period of about 18 months and both times they started with conversations about what I wanted to achieve from all perspectives - equipment, usage (music, film), and aesthetics. And at the outset of both interactions, they wanted simply to visit my home so they could understand the environment in which i was working. After the first interaction, i did nothing other than completely change my plans as i was in the midst of re-modeling my basement where i was planning to put the A/V equipment - most of which i already possessed. Once i completed that, i returned to Soundings and started over with Mark, who happened to be at the store when I arrived. Again, never any pressure to buy, but simply a conversation about what i wanted to do. At that point, most of it was related to A/V furniture and installation of a TV. We decided to add a subwoofer and replace some of the builder furnished in ceiling speakers. Once it was delivered and installed, then the fun really began. The Soundings master set process is truly amazing. I refer to the Soundings team now as the Sounder Whisperers. My stereo has never sounded so good. Mark arrived with several known source materials (audio and film) and we proceeded to spend several hours listening and using an organized process, making what are seemingly infinitesimally small movements in the placement of front, center, and sub speakers. This process truly fit the equipment to the room and sounded superb. Even though I was satisfied - i could still tell a difference in my 20+ year old equipment compared to some of the equipment i had listened to in the store. Moreover, my speakers were a little large for the space. Thus, i returned to the store, was encouraged to bring some source material, and then simply spent some time in one of the rooms and listened. To make a long story short, I decided to upgrade both my speakers and A/V receiver. It was a two step process as i didn't quite believe that the electronics could make such a huge difference in sound, but it was truly amazing. After a few months to let the equipment settle in, we repeated the master set process and I now have a sound system that matches the full sound i heard at the store. Whether it's listening to audio or watching a movie - the experience is wonderful. As i said, there was never any pressure to buy anything, just conversations around what i wanted to achieve. Certainly there are different price points to consider, but they have really done all of the research for you and what you'll find at Soundings is remarkable sound at each of their budget levels and a great staff that is truly interested in helping you achieve your A/V goals. All in all an outstanding experience.

I have a Pro-ject turntable that needs cartridge setup with proper alignment, VTA and azimuth. I did not buy the table from them. Yet Rod told me to bring the table in. We had good discussions about 2-channel audio. I could tell he is a true audiophile, knows his stuff but still very helpful and humble. There was bit of challenge in setting up my table (for which he had to talk to Pro-ject tech and make mod to his tool), but he spent that time and got everything adjusted. The table actually sounds a bit better now and the best part is he did not charge me anything for all the time spent. When I picked up the table, I asked him again if I owed him anything. He said no and helped me put the table in my car. Now that is service. I highly recommend anyone in the Front Range area to seek out this store. Rod will not disappoint you. HIGHLY recommended!
