Amazing instructors, inclusive, comfortable, non judgmental, good for introductory and advanced yoga

My favorite studio I have ever been to. A warm cozy and welcoming environment for ALL levels of experience.

This is an immersive yoga experience. The room is dark so it's easier to be yourself in poses, similar to SoulCycle's vibe. The music is usually very good and helps get you through the movements proposed in class. This is a fun studio! It is definitely worth a try. Get flexible ! read more

Excellent place for anyone new to yoga! Black Swan has a packed schedule of classes throughout the week and is approachable for all skill levels. The teachers are all kind and communicative. And the warm temps inside are ideal when you're walking in from the cold! Couldn't have asked for a better way to start practicing the art of yoga. read more

I've been going to Black Swan Yoga on-and-off since I moved here a little under a year ago and I absolutely love everything about it. The teachers are so encouraging, down-to-earth, and just overall empowering. I have not met one I've not liked! Which I feel like speaks volumes of the studio's (and the instructors') amazing character. Plus, most of their playlists are pretty freaking on-point :) The studio itself feels like a step away from reality. When you walk in the door and take off your shoes, it truly becomes about you and the mat. Everything else is left outside. Then the ambiance of the hanging lights above to the heat permeating through your body just creates the perfect aura for your practice. I'll stop gushing now, but 10/10 would recommend!! read more

I go to BSY regularly as it is convenient from my house, and most teachers are good. This studio has the potential to become a real sanctuary for yoga practitioners if only they focused more on yoga itself and less on the things that distract both students and teachers from the practice. I went to a class today (12/28/23) at noon in CapHill. The teacher was blasting hip hop and rap music so unnecessarily loudly. Not only was it a very bad choice of sounds with F bombs throughout the entire class, but I could barely hear her instructions with the rapper screaming. Unfortunately, she's not the only teacher at BSY who adores this type of noise. Doesn't the studio have something a bit more pleasant, calmer, more uplifting with less bad words for a yoga practice?? read more

I stumbled upon the Englewood location of Black Swan Yoga back in July 2021 and had the pleasure of taking Shea's class. Her class not only inspired me to take another class, but to also join BSY's Yoga Teacher Training. BSY's YTT is a 200-hr program that is accredited through Yoga Alliance. During BSY YTT, you'll learn all facets of yoga: history, philosophy, anatomy, spiritualism, meditation, hatha and vinyasa flows, theming classes, the chakra system, trauma in-formed yoga, prenatal yoga and nutrition. BSY's program sets their students up for success and to feel prepared to teach at graduation. Lead teachers Kiana and Sean are extremely knowledgeable on all things yoga and have been teaching yoga for many years. They teach from a place of authenticity and encourage their students to do the same. Other things about BSY Denver: The studios themselves are very clean and they take the proper COVID precautions. Both studios convey a calm/chill vibe from the lighting, to the artwork, to the music played. BSY yoga teachers are warm and welcoming when you enter the studio. They take pride in creating a safe and inclusive space for you to belong! BSY is all about building community, making connections, spreading love, and creating unity. I highly suggest taking a class and asking about their YTT program as soon as possible. You will not regret it. read more

have been to Black Swan Yoga for one drop in class and am thrilled to have found it. I was able to book easily via the Mind Body app and the classes and monthly membership options and option to choose a donation amount for classes makes the studio accessible to our community. The instructor I met was so welcoming and kind, and I found the class to be accommodative of all yoga skill levels. I loved how this studio has a holistic and mindfulness focus on yoga instead of just physical fitness alone. I found this space to be comfortable and has a great vibe. I have practiced here since shortly after I moved to Denver and have loved it! Teachers create space for yogis of all levels to feel safe and welcomed and they do an amazing job at intentionally building community. I've met several people here! Something that makes Black Swan stand apart is the variety of teachers. I gain new insights and explore new parts of my practice every time I arrive on my mat. If you live in Denver or even if you're just passing through, I highly recommend practicing at this studio. read more

Love the teachers at Black Swan Yoga who craft creative Flow and relaxing Chill classes. Cute space to practice, especially during the later sunset hours. The ceiling lights have a dreamy, star-like effect. Happy to see this studio open with a very friendly sense of community. read more

Can't recommend this place enough! I was soooo not a fitness person, so I was a little nervous signing up for a membership when I could barely do a push up or touch my toes. Everyone is so welcoming and encouraging regardless of skill level, and I've seen so much improvement in my overall strength and flexibility since joining. Mindfulness is something I've been able to incorporate into my life outside of the yoga studio -- which I did not expect! I've had a membership since September 2021 and have had only good experiences since. Every instructor is so different, so I recommend trying as many as you can! :-) read more

I got the lovely chance to attend a yoga class this morning with Briana. She was such a delightful instructor, guided everyone to their own comfort level and mannnn did I break a sweat. The flow we did today was challenging yet refreshing and I walked in very overwhelmed and left feeling wooosah. She was very mindful when it started to get pretty warm in the room due to everyone working hard and opened the door for fresh air. I will try to attend her classes every Tuesday morning at 9:30! read more

Love BSY! So happy to have a donation-based studio back in Denver. All the instructors have been kind and welcoming, and the flows are always unique and challenging. The Cap Hill space is so fun too. My only small critique would be the number of people they pack into classes, especially in this weird post-covid world. There have been times when I'm basically smacking my neighbor in the face, and it makes flow classes a little uncomfortable. Despite that, I would still ( and do) 100% recommend BSY to anybody looking for a studio. read more

this yoga studio is the best I have ever been to! all of the instructors are so kind and really strive to cultivate a sense of community. the classes are very inclusive, so whether you are a beginner or experienced you will get something out of them. the membership is also super reasonably priced. my only regret is I didn't start coming here sooner! read more
