My special needs adult son has gotten his hair cut at BlackBeard for the past two or three cuts. Mike 'the Agent' is awesome with him, and my son's hair looks amazing! So I haven't gotten a haircut in six months, and haven't trimmed my beard in over a year. I was lookin' pretty hillbilly. So I looked online and found Blackbeard Barbershop. I browsed through their services and their barbers and decided to let Eric "The Beard Mechanic" have a go at making me look civilized again. I went in, met Eric, (great guy), and told him what I wanted- a medium high fade and just to trim the beard to make it look cleaner but keep the length. Eric made me feel more than comfortable with someone cutting away at my beard and hair, and when it was all said and done, I now look 1000% better! Superior barbershop in town. Upstairs in the Mill, park on either side of the building. Wheelchair accessible via elevator. 11 chairs. Jesse did my cut as a walk-In. Best haircut and beard trim I've ever received in my life, Daniel was my barber. This is the type of service you'd expect from a big metropolitan city barber shop, so if you're in Lebanon, consider yourself lucky to have this in your backyard. Really cool shop atmosphere too. Mason, The Young Gun, Is a really nice, very professional, great barber all around. The rest of my experience has almost entirely been bad. It's a really big barber shop, probably at least 12 barbers. In the several years I've been going there, the only 2 people who've ever even acknowledged me are Mason and the dark haired guy who does walk-ins. Shameful and unprofessional that none of the others have. I'm sure the other barbers are talented, professional and friendly,. But the tone is always set at the top and that would be you. Does Blackbeard just not care about customers aside from their money? Businesses have to make money and I get that. But customer engagement and retention are the gold standard for retail businesses. You've failed. I will never come back and, if asked, I will never give anything but a negative review. I doubt you'll learn from or care anything about this, but I'm trying to help you. This was my first time to this location, at first glance I noticed a small area with 4 barber chairs I thought maybe this location was a downsize . Then I sat down and there was a whole other huge room with a bar set up , really cool looking ! This is inside of an old woolen mill . Daniel has been my barber for 3 years or so. When he told me he was starting his own establishment, I happily added a few extra miles for the same quality of service. He takes pride in his work and makes sure the cut is correct. His pricing is very reasonable and having traveled all over, I've paid as much as 50% more for service and quality that wasn't as good. I respect Daniel as a person and I know that as the owner of the establishment, he's taken care in selecting his staff. I haven't had any interaction with any of them beyond the banter at the shop but they all seem like friendly, and more importantly, professional individuals. His shop is well lit and clean, with things laid out in a fashion that seems organized and natural without being devoid of character. There's always a movie of some sort playing on the TV in the corner or music coming from one of the stations. Neither are loud enough to drown out the conversation but they definitely add to the atmosphere of the establishment, and not in a bad way. I'll be coming back here as long as it's open and I live in the area.
