I like the people that come to this auction because it represents a great cross section of WNY. We are all there trying to find a treasure or need. My attitude is that there is much to be found with knowledge. That applies to any auction. Come to one of Matt's Academy Auction's auction. Legally an auction business is a second-hand dealer selling items based upon the highest bidder. It may be a fun event, and even a place to meet individuals of similar interest. Best to actually know what you are bidding on, and during the auction listen closely to the representations made by the auctioneer.

Of course, if you intend to participate, you have to do your homework. You have to look the pieces over in advance. Sometimes it requires a bit of research. Kelly always announces that he is not responsible for the final price in any way. Your bid is up to you. His offerings range from misused, little wanted antiques, to very rare, desirable pieces. One…read moreperson's trash is certainly another treasure, and Stewart Estate Services has a great collection of interesting items. What I really like about it is many fold: 1) this one building contains the former belongings of like 100 grandmas, so you don't have to wander (drive) to several houses to browse, which lets face it can consume most of one day; 2) the treasures are abundant! They had everything from vintage clothing to furniture to books to toys. Really, a ton of stuff! I'm always partial to kitchen items, my wife gravitates to books and records. There were even 2 old dollhouses here, which I loved for a friend who collects dollhouses! 3) no one pressures you, or rushes you. We spent quite a while in here, searching and sifting, and we probably could have spent way more time if we'd been patient ourselves. If you enjoy estate sales and flea markets, you MUST scope this place out. They have limited hours, only on the weekends, which I'm grateful for because it's tough to get out during the week. It's easy to get to, there's plenty of parking, and you might find some cool treasures, like C & I did!

Brenda put hours and hours into our online sale. She did an amazing job. Brenda is very knowledgeable and professional. She also traveled over an hour to do our sale. When Brenda was done our home was empty and ready for the new owner. I can't say enough about how hard Brenda worked. We could not have accomplished this without her. I highly recommend Brenda, you will not be disappointed. I talked to other companies and only from Brenda did I get a good vibe and knew I could trust her with our estate sale. Her commitment is beyond what you would ever expect.

I used to go to the Super Flea just about every weekend. Was so bummed out when they closed…read more Haven't gotten the full flavor of this place just yet because the cold has been keeping a lot of the vendors away. But there are still plenty there who have good-sized inside spaces - they're pretty much big garages with doors that can open come the warmer weather. Like any good flea market, you just don't know what you'll find. Just to give a rough feel of the place, here are some of the things I've purchased over the last couple of weeks: a hacksaw; some drill bits ; some really dense underlayment material to lay down on the workshop floor ; some sanding disks that fit on a standard drill ; a huge metal box filled with artist oil paints; a tie die t-shirt & a really neat hand painted sign with a heart & a drawing of a Buffalo ... Basically, your typical flea market ... lots of cool, neat old stuff that you're just not going to find anywhere else. And it's incredible how many things you can buy with only $20.00 or so. Can't wait for the warmer weather to get here and the space set aside for strictly outdoor vendors starts filling up. So, overall ... it's quite like the Super Flea but much newer and no where near as seedy - although, that was part of the Super Flea's allure really. I'm going tomorrow - Sunday - to see what other goodies I can find ....

Went for flowers today but came home with nothing but self respect. I needed a few more flowers to…read morecomplete my yard for the upcoming garden walk...I selected a few large hanging baskets, potted zinnias, cannas, hydrangeas & other items but while I was selecting plants my husband over heard the guy give a price much lower to other shoppers and when we asked about the prices we were quoted almost double....when my husband called the guy "out" he called him a "liar". As we walked away...he became more enraged looking for attention because we decided NOT to buy the flowers at the higher price or give his bad behavior any further attention. He told us not to ever come back lol...I think he missed our intent was to NOT spend our money with him and we decided we will not be back to buy flowers from him. Buyer beware ...Post the prices and that's all I'm going to say about that!!! He got caught and did not like it.

They will meet you at your house and take care of everything. We've used them 2 times now, and I can't say enough. make your life easy, and don't pay those commisions to real estate people.
