There was a tattoo I'd wanted that my friend wanted to match and we decided on the spot to see if we could get a couple of walk-in spots, and gave the shop a call. Long story short, we were able to snag a time with an artist named Tayler late in the afternoon, and she was such a joy to work with. The tattoos we got were fairly small (black and grey katanas about 3 and 4 inches between the two of us) and we were quoted 150 and 175, respectively, based on a size difference between the two. My friend also added on a small finger tattoo and had an old stick and poke refreshed for an extra $50. Tayler worked so quickly and her line work was excellent; I think she finished working with the both of us in a little under 1.5 hours. The shop's vibe is so welcoming and laid back, and the business itself, I learned, is women owned and operated, which I thought was super friggin cool! We booked my appointment for one week from my consultation. She touched base with me three times through out the week to update me on the design. On the day of my appointment we discussed some minor adjustments and her work began. While I sat back to watch her create I was treated so well that it became clear I wasn't getting tattooed I was getting a tattoo experience. I was offered drinks and food through out. worst mistake i've ever made with a tattoo shop/'artist'…read more scarred for life. huge haze of blown out lines began to appear after 2 days. it's a disaster and will cost a lot to try to make SOMETHING even reasonably aesthetically sound. it's a blown out, scarred, poorly applied mess. i'm devastated. my real opinion is ZERO STARS. the least he could do is refund some/all of my money. he said he could venmo me, then told me he could come up with TEN DOLLARS for me. every other tattoo artist has been shocked and told me to get my money back. he is more upset by feeling personally hurt than by what he did to me. refuses to respond to me, locked doors and closed shops when i showed up for an appointment. shady, shameful, and downright pathetic.
