BLACKHILL RESTORATION company for fire or flood damages is a company that is VERY dishonest and has a habit of inflating invoices for services they did not perform to absorb the claim payments from your home owners insurance policy. If ANY restoration services show up at your home on the day of a fire or flood and you did not personally call them DO NOT believe that they work directly for you insurance company or EVEN that they were called or sent by your insurance company. After falling victim to this companies manipulation tactics I became aware that companies like this listen to police scanners and that is how they obtain the information of a disaster related to fire or flooding at your home. Jimmy Frank Rodges is who showed up at my home. Worse then this is that this company hires employees from Labor Force Ready employment agencies without doing proper background checks for thefts and or criminal offenses such as this. I terminated this company upon finding out they that lied to gain access onto my property. The employees from Labor Force Ready solicited me to purchase items from my home. These employees sat around my home and drank beer, smoked, and talked on their personal mobile phones. After reporting the problems I witnessed with this company and their employees I immediately contacted my insurance company and found out that they were in fact not sent by my insurance company. I was informed by my insurance company that must have contacted them. I DID NOT CONTACT THIS COMPANY TO COME TO MY HOME. This company and their representatives Blake Howard, Julie Carter and Jimmy Frank Rodgers are all very unprofessional. Julie Carter harassed me from her private mobile phone after I asked them to leave my property. Think twice before you sign anything with this company. I had a sewage backup that affected over half my house - 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 2 hallways and the living room late on a Friday evening. I called Blackhill and they had technicians on site within an hour! They were very efficient and extremely professional. Because they were so efficient, we were able to save all our furniture. They also walked me through the entire process. Blackhill worked directly with my insurance company to coordinate the repairs and billing. All I had to do was pay my deductible to them and they took care of the rest. By nature of the damage this was a 5 week job, but they gave me realistic time frames and expectations. Blackhill worked with several flooring experts who helped us pick out new wood floors and carpet. We did pay a little out of pocket to upgrade to some very nice wood floors in our living room. Overall, I was mostly impressed with their extremely high level of customer service and professionalism. At one point, one of the owners of the company even stopped by to spot check the work and introduce himself to me! These guys definitely know their business and were a turn-key operation. They took care of the clean up, demo, and the rebuild. At the end, our house looked better than I could have imagined. While it was naturally a very stressful situation, they made it as smooth as possible and would HIGHLY recommend them for any water or fire restoration you may need. A plumbing line broke while I was upstairs; when I came downstairs after working on my computer, half of my living room, my kitchen, the hallway, my master bedroom, my master bathroom, and the walk-in closet were flooded. After getting the leak stopped, I spent five hours using my old shop vacuum to get the water off my floors... My insurance agent recommended Blackhill Restoration and I'm glad he did. They responded immediately and began ripping out the laminate wood flooring, carpeting, baseboards, and other damaged material right away. They then brought in fans, dehumidifiers, and dryers and scheduled a packing crew to box up all of the goods in the rooms and wrap the furniture in bubble wrap and other protection. Within a few days, my house was dry again. I'm still pending the repair team coming in, but Blackhill's efforts are sincerely appreciated. Once the repair crew does its thing, they will return to place all the furniture where it was originally and unpack all of the goods. Courteous, helpful, enjoyable company, and demonstrating an enviable work ethic... I'm retired and worked hard myself over the years; I was nothing but impressed by the Blackhill crew. I had an extremely good experience with Blackhill after my dishwasher flooded my kitchen. First, they came out the same day I called to set up dehumidifiers, fans, measure and assess the damage. Afterwards, they gave me a very clear and straightforward idea of what was done, what I needed to replace, and what to tell insurance. They were also onsite when the insurance adjuster did inspection to be able to answer questions beyond my knowledge and point out damage. Then, they had an inhouse team for rebuilds, who completely replaced my lower cabinets and installed a tile floor and new dishwasher. They sourced all the materials for me, clearly invoiced so I knew what the costs were in advance. Most importantly, as someone who works a nontraditional schedule, they went above and beyond respecting my time. They came in multiple days in a row from 7am-11am so I could leave for work at noon, including on a Saturday. And finally, the entire team answered my emails and texts immediately, every time. Truitt, the rebuild general manager, worked directly with my insurance to make sure I got the most payout possible from my policy. Workers stole my credit card and used my credit cards in Austin. Used it to buy porn, pay cell phone bills, gas right down the street from my place and bought what ever they thought they needed. One of the guys even took a crap on my property and stole electronics that belonged to children. Gross ruthless people. The owner didn't care. Stole my insurance money that I need to fix my house after hurricane Harvey. Only thing that would make it better would be to give me my money back because they never finished the job and mold grew back. All the 5 star reviews are fake Don't be fooled by this company. The owner talked to me. He's a big fake con man. Just wants the insurance money **Don't ask me to contact your company because I already did and y'all didn't cAre. You stoled my insurance money. If you ever have water damage this is the company to call! My water heater broke in my house while I was on vacation. Thankfully, a friend came over to check on the house, saw what had happened and shut off the water. I was preparing myself for a total headache of getting this fixed while I was states away. I reached out to Blackhill and they got me in touch with the local agent Jennifer Lain. She got a team in there immediately, got the water out and sprayed for mold. Easiest repair job booked and completed. Came home to a house that I knew I didn't have to worry about the clean up - at least in the water/ mold respect! When we experienced water damage in bathroom, bedroom, and part of kitchen, our insurance agent contacted Blackhill Restoration for us. They called us, then sent a tech, Joe Ramos, out within about an hour. Joe was extremely good. He was able to remove all the damaged laminate flooring, clear out the debris, and set up dehumidifier and drying fans that afternoon. He was very professional, helpful, and courteous. Blackhill phoned and was out to our home in less than 12 hours! They had set up dryers with minimal invasion to our daily space. Our home had water damage. We were referred to Blackhill Restoration by a friend. I can not say enough good things about them handling the problem. The tech Christian was excellent in responding and starting the drying out of our wood and tile floors. They had to remove the baseboard in 3 of the rooms, they scored them so as not to do any damage to the wallboard. I appreciated the respect my family and our home has been given throughout the restoration of our home after a pipe broke in the wall.
