On the morning of the estimate I get a text approximately 40 mins before the estimate saying the appointment needed to be cancelled and they would call the following week to reschedule.....and they never did. Another local company got the business. If they can't complete something as simple as an estimate, I wouldn't trust to do the work.

Not only is this an easy DYI fix with a $20 part, but he tossed the 6 month old flapper and chain. He tossed the work I just did. THIS DID NOT NEED TO BE DONE and it's insane to charge that much. It already costs members $69 to come out, and $368 is with the member discount. I am not the home owner, so I have no say so in approving the work. I have builder friends and my neighbor (HOA) agreed the price is insane. $437 to fix a $20 problem. This is 2026 and my mom is on a very limited fixed income. I spoke to Ben the manager, asked for a breakdown. If the up-charge was the parts or labor. He said there is no break down and that's what it costs. Once they busted up the concrete it was determined that they wouldn't have to move the waste stack, and replaced the check valve. I was only discounted $300 off my bill. I'm sure it cost significantly more to move a waste stack. I found this company to be high priced but my neighbors referred them and said they do good work so i choose them to replace my check valve.

The plumber just did not want to be there - or maybe do that job. Filth trailed the old pump out of the house (despite the offer of a garbage bag) and then he didn't set the trip level right. So, now I have a basement sink that has 2" of standing water until I flush the toilet or run the shower.
