So shop around and get many quotes for your plumbing job.

Ray and his team were very easy to work with. Responsive. Very reasonably priced. Ray recommended a great replacement and was able to come out on short notice (less than 24hrs). The only downside is that this business doesn't accept Credit Cards (they only accept check/cash/zelle) but I can't completely fault them for that. Told him that we wanted to spend as little as possible because we only needed a new water heater for the remodel - we were not in an emergency position. He said he'd send over the estimate via email. It didn't come. Husband called, left a voicemail. He called again the next day and was promised a call back. No return call, still no email with the estimate to approve. Then I called and was promised a call back the following day by Phil. I never received a call, but the estimate miraculously appeared - for $2,035 (higher than the initial estimate). Whatever. My husband approves the estimate and sets the install date - June 13. The guys show up this morning, and immediately start groaning about "this has to be done, that needs to be changed...", etc. And suddenly the price is now $2,900 because Phil "didn't add labor" to the estimate. "But this water heater is top of the line!" We didn't NEED top of the line - just a damned water heater that would serve it's purpose. My husband told them to leave. I called Plumbing Express to get hold of this Phil person, who obviously underquoted the job. "He'll call you back in a few minutes". AN HOUR PASSES. I call again. Now, I'm angry (and rightfully so). "I'll have Phil call you right away". Phil calls me - both guns firing out of the gate. "That was just an estimate". Yeah, an estimate that WE APPROVED for $2,035. "Yeah, lady - it was an ESTIMATE". Bait and switch. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. You will regret it.
