They promptly took a look at my vehicle, diagnosed the issue quickly, and kept me informed throughout the process. There was a wonderful park next door, so the pups and I enjoyed walking around the lake and spending time there while we waited. Great folks at Black's Tire and Auto Service. Breaks went bad on trip to visit parents in North Carolina. lucky to be alive!! But after calling and getting to store front, I was in and out of there in no time. The issue was a vacuum leak which they diagnosed in no time. They replaced hoses and caps that had dry rotted, and then offered their services for free!! I paid them for their time, but I was impressed with their expertise, punctuality and kindness. As the end of August approaches, I realize that I never followed through with writing a review of my experience with Black's Tire and Auto Services one year ago in August of 2015, so I am doing so now, hoping that a late review is better than none at all. I was travelling from SC on I-95 with three children and a dog in a fully-packed minivan when warning lights came on warning me of low pressure in my tires I called AAA and they directed me to Black's on Fifth Street. I pulled into the shop with no appointment and asked for help. They suggested I sit with the kids and the dog in their waiting area while we waited for them to fit us in. After an hour or so, when they were able to work on our van, they performed two different tests but said that they were unable to find any problems with the tires. They made sure that the tires were filled to the correct pressure, told us that the tires were safe for us to continue our trip on the interstate, and did not charge us for the time they spent or tests they ran on our tires. I was so appreciative of their help, their honest assessment of the condition of our tires, and their willingness to complete the assessment at no charge for us. We continued our trip, and they were correct that there were no problems with the tires, as the tires were fine during the remaining 300 miles of that trip, as well as over the year following this incident. I would highly recommend Black's Tire and Auto Services to anyone else who suspects or experiences problems with their tires in the Lumberton area. read more
