So many businesses in this area are closed on the weekends. It was hour wait and to be honest, a short wait with how many people they had to service that morning. Been here twice, once for state inspection for our pick up truck and once to have an issue checked that we thought we were having with our SUV. Excellent experience both times (just when I went with the SUV, it was a very, very long wait, but then I found out they were short handed as someone called in sick). Both of the headlights were out on my 2009 smart car. inspection, but I knew that I needed to get my headlight fixed so I actually bought two headlights and took them up there for them to try to replace . I took it to another car place closer to my house but was told it would be like a four hour job like $240 to replace my headlight. I'm thinking that's kinda high so like I said, I took it the black tire to get a second opinion. The young gentleman (at counter) explained what caused my flat tire, and physically showed me. The tire could not be repaired do to the location of a 6 inch piece of metal. The older guy that was working the front was awesome forgot his name. He was straight and you can tell he cares about the customers. The issues I had was with the mechanics. Had 4 tires installed and a tire sensor replaced which went good. My issue is when I came back to have one tire sensor replaced. After the mechanic replaced the one sensor he told staff I need an alignment and new front breaks. Which I thought was funny cause they did an alignment on my vehicle the day prior. And the day prior they never mentioned anything about breaks. I feel like it's a money game sometimes with these places PUSHING things you obviously don't need. read more

So sorry to say this was a horrible visit. I purchased six tires for our Dually last year and they were very expensive. Went back for my 10,000 mile rotation. It was a nightmare. Something was done wrong to the front driver side tire. I'm not saying that they didn't come to my rescue twice when the tire was flat and hanging off the rim immediately after leaving their shop, but what I am saying is that there was a level of incompetence when it came to removing our TPMS monitors and spinning them back on properly. Somehow, they said a nail ended up in the top of the tire in the very short distance that I drove it between blacks and Chili's in Shallotte? I'm not accusing anyone, but I am just disheartened. I cannot comfortably drive this truck knowing there's an issue with my steering tire. It's a very heavy truck and we pull a very heavy RV. read more

Had my oil changed and started leaking soon after. I took it back and they fixed it saying that the oil pan bolt was not put in property. One week later engine shields fell off in heavy traffic at forty mph in wilmington. Ruined a tire, put a hole in the rim and other damage. Not responsible I was told by Black s. Had an 11am appointment for a simple oil change. I watched about 20 other customers come and go while I waited. FINALLY done with a 30-40 minute oil change at 1:30pm. Completely freaking ridiculous. These people DO NOT care at all, about time management, or that they keep you sitting and waiting for 2.5 damn hours for something that shouldn't take more than 45 minutes. But, I guess it does take longer when the technician is constantly standing around smoking and having a circle jerk instead actually fucking working. I promise I'll not waste my time here again. Tried to upsell me to replace the cabin filter, the engine air filter and the spark plugs! Just because I am a woman does not mean that I am stupid when it comes to cars gentlemen! I was in the auto industry for 30 years before retiring. I know A LOT about cars. I asked them to rotate the tires, they noted they did the rotation and that was a LIE! By far the WORST place We have ever taken out vehicles to. Took truck in for a locked up brake on Passenger side. Told us it needed a brake booster and a master cylinder. When they put it all back together they put in new Brake pads and calibers. $1500.00 Dollars later I pick up the truck only to see they NEVER changed out the rotors! Who does this? Obviously not a mechanic with experience. So told them to redo the brakes and put in rotors. I pick up the truck and low and behold brake lights are still on. Took it back spent over an hour and half waiting on them to let me know what was up only to be told 3 mechanics took it out for a ride (even though I never saw it leave) and said brake light are not on any longer. According to them I must be seeing things. So I take the truck home light comes on I take the chance go to work next day and every light in the Dash comes on and the truck stops running on the 501. At this point I cannot help but believe they sabotaged my truck because I took it back 3 times and they couldn't fix what ever ever they did. Seems like total electrical issue now. Before I took it to these clowns the truck was running beautiful except for the brake. Called the manager numerous times got blown off they never called me back. Had I not called over and over never would have got the person on the phone. The other issue was when we initially dropped off the truck I told them I wanted all all the old parts, they never gave me the parts and said they forget . SMH they are the worst.. meantime had to take the truck to Ford and spend another 1000.00 and the truck is still not running up to par. Not to sure about either place at this time. When I dropped my truck off at the Ford dealer and was explaining what happened with these losers didn't realize the Mgr of Blacks was hanging out the entire time listening to my conversation with the Ford service guy. I love taking my car to Black's Tire due to the convenience of them being open on Saturday. However, as usual the tech got grease in my car. I have complained about this and had staff clean the grease spots. Usually it is on the ceiling and / or door to the left of driver. After I arrived home I noticed my hood was not closed. I could not get it to close. It would have been nice to know there was an issue before I drove off with my car. It was too late to call Black's regarding this. Everyone at Black's tire has always been polite and courteous. They have always completed the work I requested. If the grease spots could improve, it would be greatly appreciated. And encourage tech to use paper floor mats for the grease in their shoes. I appreciate everything the staff does and I do realize it is challenging to keep all customers happy, all the time. read more

By far THE WORST PLACE I have ever taken a vehicle to. Went for a locked up brake on Passenger side. Ended up needing new Brake Booster and master cylinder. So back home I go. Take the truck to work the next day and lights come on all the bells and whistles and the truck brake light are flashing the my truck dies on the middle of the highway in SC. Can't help but think they sabotaged my truck. I put in a new alternator and Battery and ABS lights still coming on. I have another Trustworthy Mechanic looking at to hopefully DX it . never ever would I ever recommend them to anyone. The Manager is a joke was supposed to call me back twice never Didn't had to call her both times. Also when I initially dropped off the vehicle. They were supposed to save all the old parts for me. I made an appointment yesterday for tires and an alignment at 2:00 PM. I got there at 1:30 PM. The tires didn't show up until 2:25 PM, at 2:45 p.m., they informed me that they only ordered 2 tires, and that they would do the alignment while waiting for the two missing tires. Made a yelp account to leave this review, but 0/10 don't go here, just go to fast Eddie's where it's cheaper. We got our ac hose fixed for 26 dollars there today. Took our car in to have an ac hose fixed that was causing flooding in the passenger floorboard. Charged us a 100 dollar fee for diagnostic testing and 80 dollars for fixing the problem. Took a day for them to "fix", and when we got the car back they said that the problem was fixed. Amazingly after all those charges the moisture was still leaking into the passenger floor and was causing it to grow mold. We asked for our money back since they didn't actually do anything to fix the problem and just took our money, but were denied a refund. read more

Stopped in @ 8:30 am on a wensday with a simple alignment task on f150. Remove lifting blocks & realign. Maybe an hour & that's giving them extra 30 mins.
