After paying him he goes for test drive and gives an an estimate for $4000 for alot of other things that need to be done. Now he says oh After test drive u have a broken front control arm and very dangerous to drive est $966 So because we always had gone there we said OK made the appt for a week later because we hardly use the car. So go to himladt thurs. Pay him the $966 now he goes to test drive comes back and says u need a EV axle joint in front He said u should leave car here its really dangerous to drive price quote $600 plus Car was shaking like crazy which in the week leading up to the visit there was no problem. My husband says u must of did something when u put the control arm in. So we took car home tried calling around to see if someone could fix it. Because what ever they did car was shaking like it was going to fall apart. Lucky we found another shop in Calabash that agreed to help us and fix it. We contacted the garage that did the damage to get some kind of compensation to fix what they did wrong and owner say "well there was wear and tear on the axel" we said no wear and tear doesn't mean broke. So they offered to split the charge to fix it after we already paid almost $1000 for the control arms. And now this is broke we said no way all they want is money. Will never go back there again cannot trust that garage. So sad they took advantage of us.

So, I drove over to Mavis in Ocean Isle and was immediatly greeted by Corey. After checking the car, Corey came out and said, come look at this. Uh oh. Two of my tires were almost split. Imagine me on the side of the road with a blowout or worse! So, my 2 tires were replaced and I felt safer! I could tell a difference in the tires as the car drove smoother. The real winner was Corey. So many businesses in this area are closed on the weekends. It was hour wait and to be honest, a short wait with how many people they had to service that morning. Been here twice, once for state inspection for our pick up truck and once to have an issue checked that we thought we were having with our SUV. Excellent experience both times (just when I went with the SUV, it was a very, very long wait, but then I found out they were short handed as someone called in sick). They confirmed the issue with our SUV which was just a pebble stuck in a tire). They did not even charge for looking at SUV. The people that work there are all very nice.
