They the worst place to ever take your car. I took my 2013 Toyota Camry due to my battery light came on. Took it to them early that morning and they checked the battery and said it was 100 below. Told me they wouldn't worry about it until it starts dying. Mind you the battery light is still on. it didn't sit right. Took it to Best Bet in shallotte and come to fine out the bearing in my alternator was going out. Meanin my alternator was bad and thats why the battery light was still on. If i was to keep driving my vehicle like that I would eventually be on side the road somewhere. so I advise you all not to waste your time and money at Black's Tire. A little bit of chaos with getting my tire order filled but in the end everything worked out. They weren't the cheapest on price but the service more than makes up for it. I was told when I arrived that it would take approximately an hour to fix my tire. After waiting about 20 minutes, another customer walked in and was taken ahead of me to have their tire repaired. While the quality of the work was good, I was very dissatisfied that a walk-in customer was prioritized ahead of me. read more

Always a phenomenal experience. They typically get me in and out quickly. I seem to have gotten a lot of screws and nails in my tires - especially with all the construction in our area and they always do a stellar job patching. Oil changes and other repairs they do are phenomenal too. read more

I don't know how they have any rating below 5 stars. They are so helpful and very honest. I needed to come for an out of state emissions test and they fit me in the day of with no issues. While sitting in the waiting room I watched so many positive interactions. Specifically, a woman came in frustrated that her oil change wasn't completed yet and the manager insured it would be finished in the next ten minutes. He went out himself and assisted the mechanic working on her car to help speed the process. Talk about caring about customers! I wish I could come here for my regular maintenance but I don't live in NC. 10/10 recommend for an honest and positive mechanic experience. read more

Great friendly service every time. Great work at reasonable prices. Willing to do work customer asks for not what they offer. What I mean by that is I just needed break pads not new rotors they couldn't guarantee the work which I was OK with I just needed the pads because I don't plan on keeping the car for six months but I needed to be road safe. read more

I asked them to do a two wheel alignment since I only needed it in the front. I expected to pay about 70$ or less. When I checked out the bill was 125$ and I mentioned that I only needed an alignment in the front. He told me it's the same price as a 4 wheel alignment. Really, so why didn't you do whole job and did the alignment in the rear as well? Very disappointed. read more

Nobody likes going to have to unexpectedly buy a tire because of a blow out. However, Blacks made this experience so good. A Pirelli tire had to be ordered and would not be in until 10AM. Technician came out from rotating tires and mentioned the front pads were at 3mm. I went home and ordered pads at Rock Auto. I then removed pads to find they had 60% of pad left. Wonder how many customers get sucked into this. I'm n a different vehicle, had tires rotated. Technician took me back to show me a small pinhole in front CV boot that was slinging grease on frame. Quoted $750 to replace CV axle. Took vehicle home and applied Permatex to pinhole. It has been fine since. Wonder how many customers get sucked into an expensive repair in lieu of a simple repair. read more

I drove 30 miles from Myrtle Beach to get a NC car inspection, because SC doesn't require inspections. When I arrived, the man who was supposed to help me answered a phone call and helped someone on the phone, for about 15 minute, instead of assisting me since I arrived before the call. I thought it was incredibly unfortunate and unprofessiona! In fact, he never got off of the phone to help me! Another man noticed I was still standing and waiting and he assisted me. Was in on a Sat morning when they opened to get a car inspection, they said it needed front tires to pass so I went ahead with the tires and inspection also asked for a front end alignment to keep the tires from wearing as listening to customers calling in associates telling customers an hour wait as I ask how it's going an hour into the visit and he tells me it's on the ground and buttoning it up so I go back to the counter to check on it as another hour passes, mind you over a dozen customers in and out now he disrespectfully tells me , it's on the rack! as I tell him he already told me it was done and back on the floor as he ignores me and walks away. I could have left the car if I knew it took over 4 hours to inspect change a tire and align it. When he neglected to get an accurate check on my car when initially asks my timeline. After 3.5 hours as I already requested the front end aligned with the tires, he shows me how it's off and asked if I want it done? No kidding, that's why I approved of the work when I arrived. Omg horrible customer service and rude employee. As I was waiting, another customer asked, when do you close. His answer was, "not soon enough". If you don't want to be at work, don't, go-stay home! get another job you can be happy at and treat your customers respectfully as you should treat people like you want to be treated. will not ever be back. Stay away!! Employees name was Mike Clearplot last time I visited this shop the owner of all the shops was here, nicest guy I've come across in years had along conversation on race cars and the front tires I was putting on my old Chevelle as he was very helpful and why I returned ,wish he was here today. unfortunately I won't be back. read more
