I hired BlackTop SealKingz in August for a sealcoating job at our property. Unfortunately, despite repeated requests, the contractor left overspray on the garage doors and the floor, which has remained unresolved for months. We made numerous attempts to get the issue fixed, but after several months of waiting and no response, this situation has become completely unacceptable. Nicholas Milliard, the owner, initially acknowledged the mistake but has failed to provide a clear date to come back and fix the issue. When we asked for this to be resolved, the response was repeatedly delayed. It is now May, and we have no resolution despite being told the job would be completed months ago. When we reached out again to ask for the issue to be resolved, Nicholas Milliard responded unprofessionally, stating that he would not clean the overspray until the weather improves. He also threatened that if we leave a negative review, he would post negative feedback about our company as well. This man is a scammer. He did a hit and run on the property, didn't do the job I paid him for, then blocked me across multiple platforms when I reached out for insurance information or refund. Then hung up on me in seconds when I called. He never fully refunded me for what I paid in the course of getting the job done. Pictures below. Beware of him, Nick is not ethical and this behavior is illegal. He did not clear drive way, he started it but he buried the garage in more snow, destroyed bushes by burying them, no "salting it good" as promised in return for me agreeing to pay DOUBLE HIS RATE, barely started the path he promised to clear to the home. It was icy and still blocked by snow and he knew the owner had poor mobility. Then because he hit property including breaking a flag pole down, he left the job utterly incomplete. A child would have done a better job and a better moral compass. He refused to give me his insurance (maybe doesn't really have it, but he advertised he was fully insured). If he fully refunded the $140, I'd chalk it up to an expensive lesson learned. That he wouldn't completely refund me was actually out right shocking behavior. In a million years I didn't expect a business to handle this so utterly inappropriately. I'm reporting him to police but please be careful and don't make the mistake I made by trusting him when he promised to "be a legitimate business" and that he "wouldn't just take my money". Edited to add in response to the lie from owner-- he sent back partial payment, I never even asked for $150. Only the $140 I paid back, which was absurdly fair of me to ask, but he did not send the $140 back. I'm adding a pic of the Venmo history to back this up. He blocked me on Venmo after this. Legal action had to be threatened to get the partial payment as he was continuous blocking or hanging up on me. He is lying and his "get a life comment" is a GREAT example of why you should stay away. He can't even refute he did these things. I have photo and video proof. read more

I reached out to Blacktop SealKingz through Facebook Messenger for a sealcoating quote. The initial estimate was for almost twice the actual square footage of my driveway. When I pointed this out, they admitted it wasn't accurate and corrected the quote. We scheduled the work for a Friday, but the company later asked if they could move it up to Thursday at 8:00 AM (this was only confirmed the day before). I agreed. On Thursday morning at 7:08 AM, I received a message saying their ETA was 8:30-9:00 AM-already running late. At 8:07 AM, I got another message that they had "forgotten" about another job and now expected to arrive between 10:00-11:00 AM. By 10:23 AM they said they were "just about finished" with that job. By 11:30 AM, after hours of waiting, I asked for an update. I got no response for 10 minutes, so I cancelled the job, too many red flags between the inaccurate quote and the inability to keep a schedule. At 11:55 AM, the company finally responded: "We are 15 minutes out, but good to know you like to cancel last minute on contractors. Scumbag." So after I agreed to their request to reschedule earlier, and after waiting more than four hours with shifting excuses, I cancelled, and the company's response was to call their customer a scumbag.
