If you know anything about skating, one board can be completely different than another, so this is useless. Considering all the nuance (shape, length, flex, weight) that go into a longboard, it is insanity to think that a customer would drop $160+ (their lowest price) on something that they can't test on the sidewalk. In 30+ years of skating and surfing, I have never been to a shop that wouldn't let you test out such a big purchase. Leave this shop to the tourists and posers and spend your money somewhere that actually cares about the culture.

The girls working the shop are more interested in gossiping/talking amongst themselves and staring at their phones than being welcoming, helpful, or kind... esp the ones working on 8/11. We likely would have spent much more, but we got the feeling they would have rather us just left than buying anything at all. We witnessed them treating many others this way -- including a surfer who came in looking for an accessory to his board, who was sent away with nothing but a weird attitude. To intimidate? After a short while they had the police officer camped outside come in. Why? To intimidate? So dumb. There's plenty of other stores. Shop here if it's your last option. It's also near John's Pass Village & Boardwalk. We came to rent paddle boards and they gave us a rate of $15 for two hours! We discovered them on groupon so I don't remember if it was a special rate or not. They told us that they weren't too strict on time and if we went a little over, it'd be okay. And if they needed them to rent to new people, they would flag us down. Very nice people. All you do is go into their shop, which is also full of cool merchandise, and pay for the rental. You then get access to a FREE parking lot and they'll drive the paddle boards to the beach. This was my first paddle boarding experience and it was awesome thanks to these guys!
