But we made it work with beer since it was simply way too hot for wine . The mussels bucket was really good and so was the garlic baked clams , they also have white corn that I could have eaten a dozen hahahaha !! We also ordered steak shrimp , cod fish and crabcake , it was well seasoned but there wasn't enough to be honest . The staff is awesome and the fish is very fresh, would definitely go back , but would be great if there were better outside seating and some frozen drinks . You should check it out . He was very happy, and said that it was probably the best mahi he'd ever had. We arrived at about 2p.m. without a reservation to find the dining room packed, so we're happy to sit at a shared outdoor wooden picnic table next to the bar truck. It's that popular! Nothing fancy about this place except the prices and good quality seafood.

The complex reopens in the spring, but you can take a peak around if you're in the area. Dogs are not allowed on the dock as it is a FDA violation.

All I ordered was a pork roll, egg, and cheese on a Kaiser roll with a hash brown patty. I understand they were very busy, but the wait still felt excessive for such a basic breakfast sandwich. I was also surprised to find out that after 11:00 a.m. they stop serving pancakes and omelets, even though breakfast sandwiches are still available. It would have been nice if the full breakfast menu was offered a little longer. The biggest issue for me, however, was food handling. I watched employees place dirty register receipts directly on top of prepared sandwiches, including an egg and cheese that sat with the receipt on it for several minutes. Thermal receipts aren't something I want touching my food, and it completely turned me off. I also noticed several employees with long hair and facial hair working without hairnets or beard nets, which didn't inspire confidence in the kitchen's sanitation practices. Neptune Market has always been a family favorite because the food is tasty and reasonably priced, so it's disappointing to leave this review. I hope they can improve their food handling practices and kitchen hygiene because I'd love to see them get back to the standards that kept us coming back for so many years.
