I absolutely recommend Mystic for all your lobster roll needs while in LBI. I placed an order from Mystic around 6 PM and my boyfriend went to go pick it up right before they closed. He said everyone was so friendly and that it had died down by the time he got there since they were closing up. we got three lobster rolls to try. One was the surf and turf, one was a Connecticut, and lastly a main lobster roll. All of them were absolutely delicious. I went for the Maine lobster roll even though there were so many tempting other options. I wanted to try a normal roll first to see the quality and it did not disappoint. The huge chunks of fresh lobster tasted so perfect with the buttery potato roll. On their menu they have a huge lobster roll list, some look super fun. I believe they have one other a Chipotle aioli and candied jalepenos! I think that's my next go-to. We also got the lobster bisque and the shrimp and corn chowder to try. The woman recommended warming it up on the stove but you can easily also do it on the microwave. We went for the lobster bisque first and it was absolutely delicious. The shrimp and corn chowder was even better in my opinion. Lots of shrimp and with the perfect amount of heat and sweetness to it. This place is definitely quality ingredients and guarantees freshness. They're right off the main Boulevard and have a nice size parking lot. They are also famous for their breakfast sandwiches which I definitely have to try one day. Their regular sandwich menu is incredibly extensive as well and I want to try out one of those two for the beach one day. All around a very solid lobster roll. Went here for dinner on a Sunday night. The restaurant was clean with plenty of seating indoors (a few spots to eat outside!) Went shopping at Farias across the street while we waited for the food- ordered fries, a lobster roll, and two tacos (~$50) that were ready within 10 minutes! The lobster was fresh and buttered generously with a good meat to bread ratio. Chicken tacos were light and satisfying- loaded with avocado and spring lettuce. Still a fan favorite in our family for lobster rolls on the island. We called in our order, and this was a great way to save some time on waiting! They told us our order of 5 sandwiches would take about 20 minutes. I tried the BLT Lobster Roll today, looking for something more complex in flavor than your standard Maine roll. The bacon/lobster combo was delicious, but I wished there was a bit more lettuce - and I wished the tomato had a bit more flavor to it. Despite those notes, I'd definitely still order it again. Also ordered in our group today, we had some standard Maine rolls, and even a surf & turf roll, all containing the generous portions of lobster served up Mystic Meats style. 5/5/20 Driving through town for work, I got the sudden urge for some seafood, especially since I'm near the sea. I called over 10 restaurants only to get no answers. I was giving up and leaving this town, when upon departing, I drive by this location, only to do a u-turn and come back here. Boy! I am beyond thrilled to have came here! I ordered the lobster roll and had the lobster warmed up, as I prefer it warm vs cold. The staff was super friendly and welcoming and even helped me figure out what to order. Great food at this place. However, wish they were better run. Their website says open Sunday until 7. Placed a call before 5. They never answered. I figured they were probably swamped with customers. So I hopped in the car and made the trip from the northern tip of LBI to Ship Bottom. The Open sign in the window was lit. I thought I was in luck! However, the doors were locked and an employee was getting into his car. He closed up early to honor a family commitment. He acknowledged that the phone wasn't answered. I didn't want to be a confrontational jerk so I left quietly, but upset that I made the trip for nothing. If the phone was answered and I was told they were closing early, I might not have liked it, but could live with it. I guess the hours on the website are not accurate. They are just an approximation. Their stuff is good. I will be back. Always liked the people there. I just wish they would answer the phone on Sunday. As a Customer, I felt disrespected and feel this episode won't really matter to them. read more

Received a friendly greeting from the staff as I walked in the door. Decided to go with the lobster roll of which they had a multitude of varieties. I kept it simple and went with Connecticut style, just lobster and melted butter on a roll. They have seating so you can dine in or take out. Decided to have it there. These are made to order and it was ready in a matter of minutes. The lobster roll was excellent, filled with fresh lobster smothered in just the right amount of butter on a perfectly toasted roll! Wow! What happened to this place. Last year we got lobster rolls from the building in Beach Haven. Although we thought it was pricey then, it was enjoyable. Large toasted buttered rolls, mounds of lobster and we were able to ignore what we spent. Now 2022, the only mystic on the island is at the seafood market in Ship Bottom. Although we knew we were going to spend a pretty penny again, we were looking forward to our sandwiches. Wow very different. They now had Martin potato rolls which were like the size of a slider. Not as much lobster either and after two bites it was gone. Very disappointed with the size of the sandwich but the taste was still good. Wish we knew that for $52 and two sandwiches we would still be starving. May not go back again as I feel they need to reconsider the rolls and sandwich size. This time size does matter! read more

Fantastic lobster rolls! They even have gluten free rolls, which made it worth the walk for the gluten free members of our family, who normally can't get lobster rolls in most places. LBI roll & Hawaiian rolls were fabulous. We went at lunchtime and had very little wait, sat inside at the table to eat. Very cute place, owner was very friendly and helpful. This place is a dirty joke. I appreciate that other reviewers gave good marks based on novelty of the menu items and Mystic Market being open early season. However there is no getting around how dirty and disheveled the store is. While I smiled at the concoction that was the meatball sandwich, I'd have to agree with an earlier review - it's utterly un-eatable. I also ordered the "Roasted Vegetable" sub, it was a joke. $12 sub with lettuce, tomato, and mushrooms and peppers out of a jar. Total joke. The final note I'll make is that the staff weren't taking precautions for keeping their workspace clean or orders safe. The people preparing food weren't wearing masks properly, and the other employees weren't wearing masks. While my order was being made a friend of the cook came into the store, leaned over the sneeze screen and started hollering to the cook. The cook made no attempt to stop him. Myself and the other customers winced and sighed. One and done - there are plenty of great options on LBI that keep a clean store and better menus. read more
