I had a frustrating experience with AC Center related to a Con Edison Clean Heat rebate. They…read moresubmitted a $50 "instant rebate" on my behalf without my knowledge or consent. Their invoice--while showing a $50 rebate--had no invoice number, no signature, and I never interacted with them directly. I worked exclusively with my installer, Arimizer Inc., and paid full price for the system and installation. I initially called them, and when the woman answered the phone, her answer was "the computers are down." When I reached out to AC Center for clarification, they never responded to any of my emails. Their lack of transparency and accountability has led Con Edison to reduce my rebate eligibility from $8000 to $4000 based on a rebate I never received. I've filed formal complaints with Con Edison, the Better Business Bureau, and the NYS Department of Public Service. I strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with this supplier--especially if rebates or incentives are involved.

I could immediately tell he's very knowledgeable and experienced in his craft. Overall, the entire process was also quite smooth and convenient. Some places charge an exorbitant fee to just send someone out to provide an estimate. Adam on the other hand, is able to provide a free estimate through text so you know what to expect prior to scheduling an appointment. It took about 2 hours for them to fix the leak and they even cleaned up whatever debris was created from the job! If I ever have another heating issue in the future, I know who to call on. My experience with them was a little mixed, as I will explain below. First off, the woman who answered the phone and did the initial coordination was nice and professional. I can't remember her name unfortunately, but that was appreciated. Seems like this company is willing to send someone to do a free quote for a job, which is good and how it should be IMO. I found that some other companies still charge for this though. She set me up for an appointment in the near future. The day of the appointment for a quote arrived. The person who was coming was not on time. I called them and they said that the guy was running about 20 minutes late. I waited 20 minutes, no guy. I waited for a while longer after that but he was very late at this point so I called them and left a message that I was leaving at this point as he was late and I wasn't going to wait any longer to eat dinner. As I was walking out, I saw this disheveled looking kid walking around my apartment complex. Turns out he was the guy who they sent. I told him that I didn't want to get the estimate anymore because he was very late. He looked angry, wasn't apologetic at all, and gave me a bit of an attitude. I'd rather not put the name of this kid in my review for the purposes of being merciful. Needless to say, I pretty much crossed All in One off my list after this incident. They did follow up with me afterwards to offer an apology and offered to send someone else. I hadn't decided on a company yet so I thought I'd give them another chance. The next person who came was plumber named Christina. Christina was very friendly, professional, and communicated excellently the whole time I dealt with her. She arrived right on time and did the estimate. The estimate she gave me was, by far, the best price I was offered after checking with like 3-4 other companies. She also let me know that I could buy my own shower kit for her to install (instead of the company themselves providing everything and there possibly being more room for upcharges as a result). I was able to text with her for feedback and she was very responsive. So I decided to pull the trigger on having her do the job. I live in a co-op apartment complex and there were a few more hoops to jump through than if I was having work done in my own private house. My co-op requires a licensed and insured plumber to do work on my apartment. All in One is licensed and insured FYI. I would have preferred to hire someone who was more underground in order to save money, but I couldn't in this situation unfortunately. Christina arrived on the day of the job and did the work. She let me know that the job was done and that my shower was no longer leaking. However, when I got back, my shower was still leaking. I was understandably upset that my problem wasn't solved, but I was able to talk to Christina and she let me know that another component (the shower cartridge) was to blame. I was a bit skeptical as my super had already changed the cartridge a few times, but I was appreciative that she was willing to come back that weekend to do the cartridge fix. Thankfully, after she came back to do that, my shower no longer was leaking, and hasn't been leaking since. So overall, my problem ended up being solved for a much lower price than what most other companies in the area were charging. But it came with some hiccups. Getting plumbing work done is a very, very stressful and expensive project. There were companies that were charging more than double the price of what All in One offered. But I had a good experience with Christina and would definitely recommend working with her specifically. Hope my long review was helpful. Buyer beware! I can…read morenow understand why this company has numerous 5-star reviews. Initially, I had given it a 1-star rating (if I could give zero, I would). However, I was advised to remove my initial review or our project would not be completed. On Father's Day morning, we called this company for an emergency due to issues with our boilers. Initially, we were impressed by their prompt response and diagnostic services. However, working with David and his company turned out to be the worst experience we could have had. David promised us a new HVAC system (water heater and heat pump) within a day or two. This has now turned into three weeks. The communication between us and David was terrible, and he even threatened us. To make matters worse, he left our family in the middle of a heatwave, with a newborn baby! David has said vile things to my family because we asked questions about the work that was supposed to be completed and complained that the service we paid for was not complete. He was angry that we filed a complaint with the financial institution we worked with to get the work done he removed the breaker from the heat pump system and told us that "our children will suffer tonight" ( heat wave in affect and it's over 100 degrees in the home ). His words were so disturbing that they are not allowed anywhere near our property. They also damaged and left a hole in our ceiling. After stating that someone would come to fix it, just like they usually do, no one came, and they didn't even bother to follow up. We had to pay someone else to come and fix it. We took out a loan for a specific system and he promised us that system, yet installed a cheaper lesser system with equally bad customer service. Once the job was reluctantly "finished," our heat pump didn't work, and we had to call in and pay other companies to not only evaluate the work this company did but also fix it. We later found out that the work they did could have resulted in a fire if we had kept the unit running. Not only are they dishonest and take advantage of emergency situations, but they also do horrible work.

I renovated my home and decided I didn't want a steam boiler and individual large air conditioners…read morealong with steam radiators for heat but still needed both Heat and Cooling. I contacted Amerikhomes and made an appointment for Leon to swing by to get an opinion on a new system. He came on time and recommended a mini split system as the solution which would be my primary source for both heating and cooling. We agreed on a system and moved forward with the installation. He ran the piping/wiring and drainage for the units in each room but didn't mount the units until the sheetrock was up. Once the sheetrock was up, he mounted the units and brazed the piping. He advised fittings was not the way to go because as time passes, it may produce a leak and because all the piping is inside the wall, it'll be very difficult to get to whereas brazing is more a permanent connection so he sealed each location via brazing. This was not a 1 time visit. The installation required a multitude of visits to complete. Once everything was installed and ready to be powered on, we went ahead and briefly tested it. The A/C was blowing ice cold and the Heat was nice and warm. No issues during the summer with the A/C but when winter came, a serious problem started to occur. In heat mode, the defrost came on which in itself is not unusual but what was is the fact that it would not turn off. The defrost cycle continued to run to the point where the inside units would start building up frost and ice and the only way for the unit to start heating up again was if you turned off all the indoor units and turned them back on. I contacted Leon to inform him and he couldn't find any issues with his work and that it has to be the unit. Justifiably, he will have to charge me to troubleshoot the unit to pinpoint the problem. For months, Leon and the vendor went back and fourth pointing out the possible causes for the issue but the vendor continued blaming Leon's work and Leon kept explaining that the issue was with the unit so they would not pay him to troubleshoot the unit itself. At this point, we were at the "tail end" of winter and ended up putting up with powering down all the units and powering them back on when the defrost issue started. It took months back and fourth with the vendor and manufacturer that winter had already passed and heat was no longer needed. Towards the end of summer I decided to take matters into my own hands and go based on what Leon mentioned to me being possible causes. he told me that it could be one of 3 things. Either a bad thermistor, a bad controller board or not enough Freon. Well, I know the charge was good because Leon had tested the unit countless times in front of me and the PSI was the same each time. I started with the cheapest item which was to purchase 3 thermistors. Tested each new thermistor and swapped them out. Upon testing the old ones, I found them to be functioning correctly but decided to leave the new ones in place anyways. Well... If the Thermistors were good and the PSI was within range, then the only other item according to Leon is the Controller board but would have to pay out of pocket since the manufacturer would not take responsibility and would charge me $678.00 for the controller. Keep in mind that i already spent thousands on the unit and the installation just to spend spend loads more on an expensive part for a brand new unit less than 1 year old. I refuse to further fund the manufacturer and decided to get the part on my own. I found a controller board from china for less than half the cost the manufacturer charged me. The part arrived ~ 3 weeks after I purchased it and went ahead that same day to swap it out. I took pictures of each part to make sure I put everything in the right place once disassembled. Long story short, I completed the swap. Also had to "de-bug" the system for it to recognize the indoor units. The whole process took me a good 3 hours. It was not cold enough to test because the temps outside were in the mid 60's so I had to wait until it got colder to turn the heat on. 3 weeks have passed where the heat needed to be used and finally started using the heater. After crossing my fingers, the unit, after 4 hours of being ran went into defrost (as it should) but came out of it as it supposed to do. It has been 3 months and not a single time did the defrost get stuck. LEON WAS RIGHT! Despite not charging me for the work/advice, he gave me the information to figure out what the problems could be. I have to say Leon was excessively patient during this whole headache and charged me not a penny more than the cost for the installation. Most installers would have said "everything on my end is good. Good luck dealing with the manufacturer" but Leon stuck around through the rough patches. He is fair on price, knowledgeable and patient. I will always use him for future reference anything HVAC related... I advise/recommend you to do the same.
