I usually begin with the Haitian caviar and smoked fish empanadas, then move on to either the Saveur Creole goat or the red snapper -- always with extra gravy, because I can't resist pouring it over their black rice (don't judge me). It's BYOB, so bring your drink of choice or grab something from the shop right next door. Another thing I love is that the owner, Robert, is usually there. It was served on a french baguette with lettuce, tomato, pickles and a nice remoulade sauce I tried their Shrimp n Grits. The grits were creamy, and the shrimp had a nice spice but not too spicy. The twist was a wonderful accompaniment of Andouille sausage., which had a nice spice. This added another layer of flavor for an extra punch. The next thing I tried was the wings. There were several different kinds and boy were they good. Just the right amount of herbs and spices. The sauces was a bit messy being in a costume for the Halloween Party , but the flavors were outstanding.... The last thing I tried was The Jambalaya.
