I could not post this sooner than I could but at least I came and post the review! As a being deaf person, it's very important that everybody can be able to accommodate deaf customers like me. Fortunately, I had the honor to do business with Blake and his wife, Crystal who was just the sweetest woman! From what I assumed, I came to what seemed to be her birthday, so happy birthday Crystal! As for the man of the hour, Blake, he understood my situation and the car's issue, he was willing to take a look into it. I could not hear but felt something strange underneath the gas pedal. He was able to diagnose and fixed it for me. He explained thoroughly what it was and told me that I could drive my car normally now than before. I had to be extra careful about going through speed bumps and dips, mind you, I don't speed unlike many other people do, but I always care about myself, my car, AND other people, EVEN STUPID PEOPLE ugh. I could not rate this place high enough but I strongly recommend this place to all the deaf people live around here, this is the man and the woman who are willing to accommodate everyone. Took my truck in to have a diagnostic/ inspection done. First off, they were late arriving to the shop which was supposed to be open at 8am. The wife was kind enough to allow for the early drop but they were 20 mins late. Blake looking shocked we were there when he arrived. Blake, is pleasant; however, his wife is combative in the nicest way. On the upside, we received a few calls from Blake with updates, which is awesome!! After he had looked at the car, the wife called me and stated there was an issue with a gasket that would cost $725, okay no problem. However, then she states there are blots that have to be removed that could potentially be dropped into the engine and it would be $120 to remove each blot dropped. I asked how many bolts the accident could potentially happen to, she stated 8. I stated that since there are 8 blots that would mean it could "potentially" be an additional 1k to complete work on the car? She stated "yes", but that it might only be a couple, but they just need to let me know since it's a possibility. This is crazy to me since this cost alone is much more than the actual $725 to complete the job bring the total to potentially 1725?! I've never heard of giving an okay to charge so much more than the cost of the job, especially if the reason is that a mechanic makes an error during the job causing him to have to complete extra work. I would just say be really careful using this place. We did not end up moving forward with work on our vehicle. When I arrived to pick up my car the wife was on the phone and stated I would need to wait 15 to 20 mins so she could take care of their parts order and she needed to come invoice paper work since I didn't let her know I was coming in to pick up my car. Come to find out she hadn't even documented us in their system!! Lastly, the wife added to the invoice that we would be taking the car back to the dealer to have work completed on the car which was never stated to her. I didn't complain I just signed and left. Small thing, but not sure why she lied. Smh Side note, I only said the wife because I don't know her name. I think they should consider replacing the wife as receptionist. They lost our business mainly because of our dealings with her. The outcome may have been different dealing with him directly, nice guy. read more

If I could give this place 10 stars I would! We usually take our cars to the dealership for ALL repairs including oil changes, but someone referred us to Blake for a gas tank repair. I called and Crystal was very nice and helpful and knowledgeable, she quickly made me an appointment and assured me that Blake would look at my car and give me a quote. Well, I've taken all of my cars to Blake now and could not be happier with the service and prices. Blake is honest and knows what he's doing when it comes to car repairs. Blake is such a sweet man. I took my daughters car in due to a leak. I was unsure if it was oil or transmission fluid, since we had transmission issues before. Blake called and let me know that the leak was from a loose oil filter. He tightened the filter and added some oil since it was low. I went to pick the car up and he refused to charge me. We found Blake after searching online for a mechanic to work on our 1951 Plymouth Cranbrook, and we are so happy that we found him! He completed a laundry list of items for us, from doing the exhaust and doing the timing to having a locksmith come out to re-key it for us. He was completely honest and explained everything along way. There was a set budget (which was incredibly reasonable for everything done) and he absolutely stayed true to the budget, there was no up-sell for things we didn't need. We had been to another shop in the area, and they tried to tell us things were wrong with our car (which weren't actually wrong) that they needed to fix for an outrageous cost. We absolutely did not get that type of issue with Blake. We were so happy with his honesty and pricing that we brought in our 2004 Chevy HD truck for him to do a safety check before we have a long distance trip, and he went through the entire thing and gave us a list of "must-do"s for safety, and a list of "should do" soon things. Again, he was honest, he showed us the actual issues, explained everything, and gave us a really, reasonable cost to repair things. And I have to add that Crystal in the office is great! She is so friendly and pleasant, and although I haven't needed it, I have seen her give customers rides home in the local area if they have to leave their car and don't have transportation. 5 stars all the way. We discovered this shop while browsing through a bunch of different ones online, and we are sooo thankful we went with this one! We took in my husband's Toyota Matrix to get his front and rear brakes replaced. They actually had a brake special and the price we paid was amazing! We had called several other shops in the area and were quoted almost $100 bucks MORE than what we paid for here. Aside from the price, we felt the owner Blake was VERY honest and ethical. He even showed my husband some of the work he was doing and also gave very helpful tips. His wife who worked at the front desk was also SO sweet. She seemed to be the kind of person who is not nice because she's "supposed to be" but you can tell, she is very genuine and kind. Also note, if you end up staying and waiting for your repair, literally right up the street from the shop is a mini shopping center that has a variety of places to eat. We ended up walking about 10mins and had lunch and a drink while we waited for the repair. We will be returning and also recommending our family/friends to this shop. read more

06/24/2019 On my first visit I was greeted by Crystal and their good boy Kaos(doggo). I informed her about the noises my car was making and she asked me if I could leave my car as they were busy that day. I left my car and a few hours later she calls back with a diagnostic from her husband (the mechanic) Blake. I needed my rotors resurfaced, brake pads and driver side wheel bearing changed. She gives me the run down of the cost of each repair and the final total which seemed fair. The following day I got my car back and my car was no longer making those noises. 10/31/2019 I decided to come here for a different repair on my 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer since they did a great job on my first visit. This time Crystal was on medical leave, and I finally got to meet Blake who was running the front desk while assisting Conor with the repairs. I told him that one of my radiator fans wasn't working and that I would need the car back by Saturday morning before I go to work. Blake said he would try to take a look at it before they closed and would call me about the diagnostic. He informed that my fan relay was malfunctioning and that the motor was going out. He gave me the rundown of the price and told me that I could have it by the end of of the next day (friday). Blake calls me back today and tells me that my car was ready to be picked up before they closed at 5. I told him that I would need to get an uber/lyft as I didn't have a ride. Blake went the extra mile and said that he could get an uber/lyft for me instead. Not only did he pay out of his pocket for me to get a ride, he waited for me to get my car after they had already closed for the day. I moved here from O.C a while ago and have been looking for a shop to service my vehicles, there is not near as much competition here so every shop was very proud and wanted upwards of 90.00 dollars for a synthetic oil change. After reading reviews on Yelp I decided to try Blakes. They are by appointment only so when I got there they started on my truck immediately and was done in about 20 minutes. During that time I chatted with Blake and his wife Crystal (great owners) Their prices beat any place I contacted and they responded right away to my email requesting a quote. I came by last week to get a price on the brakes on my Car. I spoke with the woman in the front and she said she would get back to me the next day. When I called and spoke with them they said they didn't get a chance to check and have been busy which I understand. Finally a week passed I didn't hear back. I was passing by and saw the owner Blake and asked him what happened and why nobody got back to me on the price and his answer was "I don't have time for this I'm busy" and walked away from me. I had a leak that I had fixed elsewhere, and I got some dishonest advice from another mechanic. Blake figured out the problem with my Honda Accord. Realized I had a recall on my car and could have it fixed for free! He did my transmission fluid today and gave me prices for struts. He also spoke with the tire people next to him about prices for tires for me. He was very honest. He and his wife and coworker were all very hospitable, kind, and professional. I am a very unhappy customer, This is a husband and wife team. Everything was done over the phone. The wife Crystal called me Monday and said Blake did the diagnostic. There was power to the fuel pump but no fuel pressure. Then I spoke with Blake. He gave me the price of $550.00. I stated the price seemed high and was trying to validate the price asking if the pump was in the tank and if it included the sending unit. He said it was difficult and could not lower the price. Crystal stated the truck would be ready that day Monday. Later that day Crystal called me and stated The dealer had delivered the parts and noticed the sending unit was not there. She stated the she called and complained and the dealer said they would have it Tuesday. Tuesday Crystal called and said the dealer did not have the sending unit in stock and that there were only two in existence and it needed to be shipped from San Francisco. She said it would be there Wednesday. All this time I am paying for a rental car. Wednesday the truck is ready. The truck is parked far away from the shop and the doors are not locked. After going home I speak with my regular mechanic and ask about the price, why is it so high? He first asks, why did you replace the sending unit, it was working fine and did not need to be replaced. I then called Blake and asked why did you replace the sending unit when it wasn't broken. He stated because I told him to. I never said that. I wanted to save money and needed my truck for work. He could have installed the pump and I could have had my truck Monday. I called the dealer and the said the sending unit was in LA and could have it the next day. The fuel pump is $550.00 from the dealer so I know they didn't get the parts from the dealer. When I question Blake about the parts and the huge markup on price and asked if he thought that was fair he would not respond and said for me not to call his shop again that he was going to file a complaint. I was lied to from the start. I was charged $200.00 for a sending unit that I did not need and had to wait two days so Blake's Auto could make more money.Then the fuel pump I was charged $250.00 that is over a 100% markup. I don't know the exact amount because Blake's Auto is not an open book. The total amount paid for repair was $586.00. I should have only been charged a reasonable amount for the fuel pump and an hour labor. I want to be refunded for the sending unit and $100.00 on the fuel pump for over charging me. Charged me 2300.00 to rebuild rear end on my F250. In a very short time had mechanical noise. Was told that oil burning and metal shavings are normal. And billed me to change the oil. Another 175.00. he was not ashamed of crappy work, and said I am not a mechanic so I have no idea what I'm talking about... Buyer beware! read more

After calling around and getting crazy quotes, I finally came across Blake's. not only were the prices significantly lower, but him and his wife Crystal treat you like a friend rather than just a customer they are making money off of.
