One of the worst experiences I've had with a car shop -- and I'm not the only one. Not only did I get overcharged for something simple, but my brother and two of my neighbors had nearly identical experiences. It seems like this place counts on people not knowing much about cars so they can take advantage and rack up the charges. Every time, it's the same story, they claim your car needs multiple expensive repairs, when in reality it's just one small issue. Thankfully, my brother-in-law owns a shop a couple hours away. Even though it's a long drive, it's worth it because I can trust him. More than once, I've told him what this place quoted me, and he was shocked. He even had a friend check it out locally, and guess what? Way fewer repairs were actually needed, and at a fraction of the cost. It's really sad when you can't even trust your own local car place. It's all about greed here -- not honest service. I wanted to support a local shop, but I can't recommend this place to anyone. My neighboor only comes here cause she is always taken care of by Dustin and I had the same 5 star experience. 1 star experience portion below The way I was talked to by your General Manager today was, in simple terms, INSANE. Before any work was done he showed me a bill, and I kindly mentioned that I was under the impression my bill was a different amount because I previously had the Freon taken out at your shop and I was here for it to be put back in and pay the other half of a previous bill. I simply expressed what I thought my bill was going to be and he jumped down my throat about who it was that told me that. His demeanor went from 0-100 so fast that I got whiplash. He just went off about how he doesn't work for free and I wouldn't expect to work for free and how he has guys to pay and then he went on about how there were previous issues with the employee that helped me.(I never asked for anything for free btw). Honestly, if he wasn't so damn rude, and talked to me in any sort of calm manner, MAYBE I would have caved. I chalked it up to just another interaction where a man thought he could scare me into getting the result he wanted because he can say words loud. He was telling me he is going to write up the employee who helped me, which is a damn shame cause that employee is amazing and an asset to your team. The way the conversation was handled was unprofessional, showed lack of leadership, and it honestly it felt really crappy to be talked to like that. All of this was in front of another customer and another employee by the way. I wonder if that sweet old lady will be back after seeing that. At the end of the day I was taken care of, even though the road to get there was an annoying and unnecessary. I run my own small business and I know how important reviews and reputation are. I wouldn't put a 1 star review because the rest of your team is great and one bad experience with the face of your company shouldn't reflect that. I was in a pinch with two flats on my work vehicle and needed it done the next morning. I brought my 2013 Yukon to Canyon Lake Auto and Tire Pros because my "Check Engine Light" indicated a problem and my car was running sluggish. The guys at the shop ran a complete check and diagnosed a sensor was causing the engine to run rich. After cleaning a sensor everything was back to normal, avoiding the need to buy a a new sensor. Got completely screwed at this place. Took my car in for diagnostics on engine and suspension as I hit a curb and camber and alignment was off. Pretty sure they didn't do more than scan my car and they flat out told me that they didn't have time to look at the suspension and the lift was broken..so I paid $180 for absolutely nothing at some sketchy mechanic. My wife and I only go to Canyon Lake Auto Tire Pros. They are easily accessible and they don't try to soak you when you bring in your vehicle. To date, they have worked on and serviced three of our vehicles. We always get straight answers and quick updates if and when something comes up unexpected, i.e., parts not readily available by the manufacturer and so on. But all in all honesty, these guys are always helpful, and their work has always been rock solid. I recently brought in my 03 Porsche 911, and they handled the oil change in less than half a day while the dealer might have my car for 3 weeks or longer. Had my mom take her car in for alignment cause I thought it was a place you can trust. They claimed to have aligned the car and when she got it back it was completely off so she contacted mark the owner and he said bring it back and we will figure out what needs to be done. They took it back and told her she would need 2100$ in repairs to get the alignment done right. So I had her take it to a place that specializes in Lexus and Toyotas and they said everything was good and wouldn't even quote her for the repairs. So I had her take it to a reputable alignment shop (precision alignment in Temecula) and 85$ later the car drives perfectly straight. When I went to pick up the car they told me it really needed the alignment. I would recommend being cautious when bringing your car here. read more

I'm sure this shop a lot of people have great experiences but unfortunately this wasn't one for me. I had taken my wife's truck in for an alignment after getting her some brand new wheels and tires. After a few months I noticed the tires inside was getting worn very unevenly after 5000 miles of driving. I brought it in for them to check it out and hours later I get a call saying "it's done" They stated that they had adjusted the alignment, so obviously we know now that it was off. I was told that it's been towing out the whole time my wife was driving the truck, and also told that this is very common for larger tires to get out of alignment with 5,000 miles. So by the suggestions of this shop I should be getting the alignment done every few weeks in order to keep my tires wearing out in an effort to avoid accepting any kind of responsibility. After complaining I was then told I would be receiving a phone call from a manager that was conveniently not on site, and two weeks have came and went and still no call. These should be 50,000 mile tires, like the previous set I had, instead they will be lucky to get 8k miles tires now due to the poor alignment I received from this shop. I get that mistakes happen but I would have expected a reputable shop to own up to that. Instead I'll have to bearing the 1000 dollar loss in tires they destroyed and can only hope that someone reads this and decides to go elsewhere for their repair needs. read more

Looked up Yelp reviews on local mechanics and these guys had the best reviews in the Canyon Lake area. Purchased a 2015 Jeep unlimited from a private party and after only 3 months had some issues... Called and spoke to Dave. He was not pushy, was very friendly so I took my Jeep in. After evaluation Dave called with the DX and took the time to explain it to me. Still being skeptical of shady shops, I called around to get estimates from other local mechanics in the area for the same work... Dave's estimate was $700-$1000 less than other local shops. They took care of the issues within 2 days and I'm back on the road! Appreciate Dave and also Joseph's help. Actually had to use Acima which loans you money for some types of car repairs and it was a simple transaction/ loan to help me get thru the next 3 weeks until I could pay it off... I had a nail in my rear tire called around spoke to Dave the owner or manager he said to come in. So this man that looks like Opie as an adult is on the phone talking to another customer. I stand around for about 5 min never even acknowledged my existence, I waited thought he might say excuse me, be right with you nothing. I hung around because I need to have it repaired and I see all these AAA plaques so figure he must be good. A cute girl came in during that time frame looking for one of the employees and he had time to stop and say oh he is not here and then went back to his phone call. I'm 62 grandmother, Hispanic, business owner for 30 years originally from OC. It felt uncomfortable being ignored. He gets off the phone and says let see what you got, he looks at the tire and says no way am I touching this. It's not something I will repair. So I ask him well how much is a tire and he says that's an expensive tire that's going to be $700 for one tire and I said wow that's a lot for one, and before it goes any further he says "I'm done you're not going to buy from me " so I'm done". I said excuse me and he goes yeah you're not buying today so I'm out and he turns around rudely and starts walking away and I said if you give me a price for what needs to get done not just the tire and he just ignored me and waves me off, dismisses me. I say to him as he's walking away you're the man with all these AAA awards on your wall and this is how you treat a potential new customer. He couldn't care less this man David didn't care about my business didn't care about my car wasn't interested, he prejudged that I was not going to purchase tires from him. I don't yelp I don't even usually leave reviews but now I see why people do leave good reviews and bad reviews his attitude was so unprofessional and disrespectful that I felt the need to post this. I also feel the need to post where I got good service at Big Brand tires where Chase helped out with the quote then Elizabeth and Jack took care of me the next day, a great Team who deserve a shout out! I went to big Brand Tires on Railroad canyon and got excellent service they told me that it would be unsafe to repair the tire and I said can you give me a price on tires they did and they told me I need to get two so that the tread will match and they said we can order them today and have them for you tomorrow morning so I did that, I ordered my tires it was there the next morning they did an awesome job they didn't overprice me they were nice and respectful as I am to all my customers. THAT is not what I got at the Canyon Lake Tire shop. I work with all walks of client's and I treat all the same. Shame on this business owner/manager for being so rude. had purchased a set of tires from a different tire store and two hours after i got my truck home one tire went totally flat. I called the tire store and since they are 12 miles away they told me to take it to a near by tire store and pay to get it fixed. After fighting the tire to get it off I took it to Canyon Lake Tire and told them what had happened which was the tire stem had a split in it and the tire store never replaced them. Canyon Lake Tire took the tire out of my vehicle for me and fixed it and to my surprise it was a No Charge even though I didn't buy the tires from them. Dropped my car off for a front end noise , estimated me for 3000 dollars in repairs . Thinking it was way overpriced took it to a different shop quoted me 1100 dollars for repairs with no additional repairs like tire pros recommend me . Payed for oil changed at tires pros and car was 2 quarts low and engine oil was black the very next day . Probably never even did the oil change. This shop is a scam . Lost my business. Beware of this shop . Tried to charge for AC service again 300 dollars, it was completed months back . When it was mentioned he said ok and charged for only for the oil change. Power steering pump belt was recently installed by tires pros and was not installed properly missing one of the ribs , we caught by the different shop . I was having some issues with my 22 years truck. I decided to call Dave over at Canyon Lake Auto to set up appointment. I had my truck towed over there. Explained my problem and waited for a call back. He got back to me quickly! He ran tests, test drove it, checked out all the areas he thought could be a problem. Nothing. He couldn't find any issues at the time my truck was there. He called to let me know. Explained and I went to pick up my truck. I asked how much $$ for running all the tests and all the time they spent on it. And he said no charge. No charge. Those are two words I'm not used to hearing in this days world. thank you Dave.
