Due to what i wanted, Cuong introduced me to Kim. She is truly really amazing. I can't praise her enough for making me comfortable the entire time I was there. I walked in wanting a haircut but was on the fence about getting my hair colored [the last time I did it, it was for my wedding years ago]. During my consultation, I showed her two looks I was debating about... and she worked her magic. She took care of me the entire time, checking to make sure I'm comfortable and enjoying my time with them. I can't praise her enough. When she was mixing the colors, she would check in to see if I'm open to other options or still prefer the one we originally selected. I'm no pro so I trusted her, I've been a customer at longs since they've opened in htx and I've never regretted any hair cuts I've gotten with them. I came here with my sister, who has been a loyal customer for over two years, and unfortunately, our most recent visit left a bad impression due to the unprofessional behavior of one of your stylists. As small business owners ourselves, we know how important it is to treat customers with respect--especially loyal ones. This experience did not reflect that standard. To the owners and management: it is important to ensure your staff are properly trained in both communication and customer service. Clear language skills and professionalism are essential in this industry. Also, not every customer is looking for discounts or free services--we are simply looking for quality work and respectful treatment. During this visit, my sister's beautiful hair was shaved in the back with a razor to correct a cut that had been done too short. Using a razor in that way on a woman's hair is highly unprofessional and unacceptable. We understand that mistakes happen. We are all human, and sometimes language barriers or misunderstandings occur. However, what matters most is how those situations are handled--with kindness, accountability, and respect. This is a business that charges premium prices, and with that comes the responsibility to train and guide staff on how to properly interact with customers. We are not asking for refunds or free services. What we expect is acknowledgment, empathy, and clear communication about next steps--instead of being immediately asked to remove a negative review in exchange for a free fix. I do feel that when someone is being unethical, it should be addressed. I went to Christine for some lowlights and wanted a FEW highlights to blend in, but I like my hair mostly dark. I told her this and she began mixing the products. It took her almost 2 hours just to apply the highlights. After my hair was done processing, I knew the color was awful. The blonde obviously didn't sit long enough and was very brassy. She then puts a deep conditioning in my hair (that I didn't ask for nor did she ask if I wanted it. She just did it). After that she put a toner in my hair. Again, didn't ask. All in all, I was there for 3 HOURS. When I went to pay, she tells me it's $275 and I booked for a $140 service!!!!!! How do you not tell someone that the price is going to be so much higher! She then tells me that I would have known the price if I did a consultation with her first. Why couldn't she tell me any prices before or during the service rather than just doing things I didn't even ask or agree to? She literally just put things in my hair. At the time, I didn't even know what she was doing. She told when she was ringing me up everything she did. I don't even like my hair. It is so brassy and streaky, and for almost $300, this should be the best lowlights/highlights I have ever had. I have never in my life spent so much money getting my hair done. I usually wear my hair up and it looks awful. When it's down, I have to be sure to part it in a certain way for it to look good. Otherwise, you can see places she missed. So many people that usually ask where I get my hair done has told me my hair looks awful, but I'm not going back and I can't justify spending anymore on my hair so soon. I think she was being extremely unethical in her business practice and, needless to say, I will not be going back and I do not recommend. *If she posts pics saying how great my hair looks, it is parted in a good spot. As I said above, it needs to be parted in certain areas to look good when it is down. Please let my photos of her work speak for themselves. Her color and application is beyond horrible. Update: she also lies. Her response is a lie. I did tell her I was looking for a new stylist because she does fry my hair, but I also told her I was very happy with the health of my hair now because I had cut off 3" a few months back and didn't want to damage it again. It has been about 5 months since i last put blonde in my hair. I have since just been doing lowlights. I walked in with VERY healthy hair. I also told her I love how my stylist did my hair just not that she damaged it. I never booked for another service and scheduled a different service because again I like my hair darker. I had to reschedule the original service because something came up. I also did not go back to give her a chance to fix it because I didn't want to chance getting more services done that I didn't ask for and pay more money to her. Seeing her lie of a response shows me I made the right call. I did end up getting it fixed by another stylist and am extremely happy. I couldn't wait a couple of months for this horrible dye job to grow out. Honestly, the fact that I hate my hair is not the main purpose of this review, and if that was the only problem, I probably wouldn't have written anything because that's just the risk you take going to a new colorist. The main purpose is that she did things to my hair that I didn't ask for and she didn't ask me to do them. So she can say all she wants her prices are posted and I should have known, but the reality is that I could have known her prices like the back of my hand and it wouldn't matter because she rang up the tab by just doing what she wanted. I will not be going back and forth with her. The fact is she is unethical and lies and you should question everything if you do decide to give her a try. I 100% stand by everything I have said in this review.
