First time coming to this location and I really liked the service and ambiance. It's less crowded and the staff are really helpful and friendly. I've never had any issues with the other location either but it is more of a wait if you walk in at their original location. I walked in and was immediately greeted and seated. Due to what i wanted, Cuong introduced me to Kim. She is truly really amazing. I can't praise her enough for making me comfortable the entire time I was there. I walked in wanting a haircut but was on the fence about getting my hair colored [the last time I did it, it was for my wedding years ago]. During my consultation, I showed her two looks I was debating about... and she worked her magic. She took care of me the entire time, checking to make sure I'm comfortable and enjoying my time with them. I can't praise her enough. When she was mixing the colors, she would check in to see if I'm open to other options or still prefer the one we originally selected. I'm no pro so I trusted her, I've been a customer at longs since they've opened in htx and I've never regretted any hair cuts I've gotten with them. AVOID AVOID AVOID This salon has completely lost my trust -- not once, but twice. And here's exactly why. I paid $200 for a hair color service with Tammy, and followed every aftercare instruction they gave me: I waited over 48 hours before washing, used color-safe shampoo, and kept the water lukewarm. Still, the color bled excessively, staining towels even days later. I contacted Trish, the owner, and sent her multiple clear, timestamped photos showing the bleeding. Her response: "We cannot refund without seeing your hair." "This is the first time you've complained." That is completely false. This was my second bad experience with this salon. The first time, I asked for a chestnut brown color and Tammy left a large section of my hair uncolored. I sent Trish photos back then, too -- so for her to act like this is the first issue I've raised is either a lie or proof they don't keep track of client concerns. Then came this: "Even if the manager sees the bleeding, she cannot refund." So they expected me to take time out of my day, drive all the way back, only to be told in advance that nothing would be done. I also explained that I live far from the salon and would be spending time, gas, and energy just to hear the same excuses -- that didn't matter to them at all. What's worse is that before getting the color, neither Tammy nor Trish ever mentioned that this shade could cause heavy bleeding or ongoing color transfer. Had I been warned, I would have never chosen this color in the first place. That kind of basic, honest guidance is what you expect from professionals -- and it was completely missing here. Later, Trish casually mentioned: "We have a special shampoo that will stop the bleeding." If that shampoo existed, why wasn't it used during the appointment??? Why was I left to discover that on my own, after the damage was already done? When I wasn't getting answers, I decided to consult with two other professional salons and do my own research. Based on what I showed them, the most likely causes were: The dye not being properly sealed An incorrect formula for my hair type Incomplete neutralizing or rinsing of the color These are foundational steps in hair coloring. The fact that I had to learn this on my own, while the salon avoided even reviewing their work, says everything about how they treat their clients. At no point was there real concern, effort, or care. Just excuses and cold, copy-paste responses. No accountability. No fairness. In the end, they don't care about customer satisfaction. They just want your money. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable -- just basic accountability. But even that was too much for them. First time coming to the second studio, and honestly i was really nervous. i have previously dyed my hair with box dye, i dyed my entire head when it was shorter and i died it a orange/brown. it's about a year later now, and it's time for a big change. however, i knew that dying my hair would be more difficult because i had box dye. I was also going for a fairly light color. I got a haircut by a really kind lady, i didn't catch her name, but she had super short, blonde hair and was Filipina. I love how she cut my hair and kept my length!! You know how you ask for the smallest trim and the chop off 5 inches?!! She actually put layers in my hair, trimmed my tips, AND kept my length! Nancy was my stylist, my first time meeting her. she showed me her w previous works to assure me that dying my hair the color i wanted was a specialty of hers and has lots of experience. when i showed her my reference, she was extremely honest in how possible it was to achieve. she said she will get as light as she can, as i requested. i understood that because of the box dye, i may have to be more orange than what i wanted, but Nancy assured me that even if that was the case, it would still look beautiful and bright. being in the salon for hours was not a fun idea in my head, but the ladies at this salon were so sweet and kind. they were also funny, and made me and my cousins that came with me feel right at home. it felt like being worked on by our aunties! they gave us water and snacks without us having to ask and got to know us for the hours we were there. the end result of my hair was BEAUTIFUL! Nancy had achieved EXACTLY what i wanted even with the box dye in my hair!! it was gorgeous, and even better than i wanted honestly. i will ALWAYS come to this studio for hair touch ups and changes. i HIGHLY recommend this salon!! I've been here many many times and I love going back! Long and Trish never seem to disappoint and they're prices are relatively affordable compared to other salons in the area. They always manage to take very good care of me and give me the results I want! If you're having a hard time deciding on which salon to go to, this is the one! It was very hard for me to find a salon that specialized in Asian hair because its a lot harder and thicker to lighten. I've had bad experiences at other salons that left me with yellow hair and that is NO BUENO, but Hung's is definitely the place to go to. Don't believe me? Very clean, bright, and spacious inside. All the stylists are super nice. Never had a bad haircut or styling and it's very fairly priced in my opinion. There's also ample parking and things to do/eat nearby if you're waiting on someone to do their hair. Don't listen to client, asked for a specific haircut and hairdresser did what she wanted not what asked. Same with hair color, I showed them a picture of what I wanted they ended up doing a different color with the excuse that it looks better than what I wanted. But that's for me to decide. They don't wash hair and use a straightener before cutting hair without using any heat protectant. Low quality hair products. Stylist also kept on walking away during my color application taking twice as long to apply, not good results. They are very friendly but poor customer service and low quality. I have very mixed feelings about longs studio. I came to longs studio 2 on a Saturday for a haircut for myself and my daughter. We both have very long thick curly hair. I asked for a basic trim for my daughter and some layers for face framing. We got that but I found it very odd the first thing the stylist did was STRAIGHTEN my 6 year olds beautiful curly hair and THEN they proceeded to cut. It was weird and I knew right away they were not curly haired skilled but we were already getting cut. Next was me. Now I know I asked for a huge cut and they definitely looked scared but the woman helping me was at least kind enough to find me a stylist she believed would be successful with my desired haircut from mid back length to pixie cut. It started ok but then once most of my unwanted length was gone he STRAIGHTENED my hair (if you have curly hair you know how this can be upsetting) and before anyone says anything, yes I did say I wanted to leave with curly hair. He then washed it, blew dried it, and STRAIGHTENED it again after I already told them I did not want a wash because I don't use sulfate products and I knew they wouldn't have curly shampoo... I was right because my hair felt crispy when I left, couldn't even run my fingers through it. Didn't use conditioner ON CURLY HAIR!! Make it make sense. So then after struggling to style my new hairstyle the stylist swapped my part to a new side added gel and called it a day. I don't hate my cut but I don't love it. I think the stylist here would truly benefit from learning some basic techniques for styling and cutting curly hair. I feel very torn because I would like to come back in the future but not if they keep using heat on heat less curls. Overall I would recommend this salon if you have straight hair! read more

Saw this salon open recently, and my son needed a cut, so scheduled him here on Yelp(which was problematic given the site turned my inquiry into a project request and I was getting all kinds of unrelated messages). I really wish they had scheduling software like so many other salons do-it would make things easier. So, the salon looks nice-a bit sterile, and the waiting area is just 4 chairs against the windows, so probably difficult if there's a few customers in the salon that have people driving them(kids elderly and whatnot) The appointment time was a bit late (15 mins) but my son said he liked his haircut so I guess it all worked out in the end. read more

Edit: as you can see from the owners reply, they still have refused to accept any responsibility for the terrible service provided today. Yes, it is accurate that after sitting there for two hours they did offer me finally to do highlights at that point in time I no longer had time to sit there for additional time for them to correct their mistakes. It is a shame that after having such a wonderful service the first time by Gellan that I was treated so poorly today. I should add that I came in two days prior to my appointment to ensure that the appointment was booked correctly for any service that was required in order to ensure my hair looked exactly like it was done last time. I would have gladly paid for any required service. They assured me that they knew exactly what to do for my hair to main Gellans excellent work. Unfortunately, from the response, it is clear that they do not care about maintaining me as a customer. Now I am left with a haircut that is not what I asked for and a base color that is darker than I originally had with Gellan. Despite what the owner is saying in her response I clearly told the told the stylist multiple times to please not cut my front and to keep my angle. She instead kept cutting the front and completely destroyed the perfect angled bob Gellan had cut. I raised these concerns multiple times at the salon and rather than fix it the owner and Long the manager were defensive and just like in their response here only tried to find reasons to blame me for their poor service. I am now going to have to pay another salon to fix their mistakes. All of this could have been avoided if they had listened to what I asked for which is to have my hair done exactly as Gellan had styled it 5 weeks ago. It was a red flag when I arrived for my appointment and they had to ask me multiple times what services I needed and what I would like to do with my hair despite having gone in two days earlier for a pre appointment consultation. And then to have me wait another 45 minutes without any communication or apologies. All in all I was I was in the salon for 3.5 hours for what I was told would be a 1.5 hour appointment. I was quite happy to pay the $425 for my first appointment because the result was fabulous and gave me terrific confidence. I even went back the next day to see Gellan and thank her for convincing me to go blonde. She assured me this would help with my gay growth as it would blend in and she was right. Her angled bob was sleek and chic. Now I paid $100 and would have gladly paid what ever was needed to achieve the same look. This salon told me to get roots done and I unfortunately trusted their guidance and as I trusted they would understand me when I said that I wanted to exact same blonde as Gellan and exact cut. Now I have dark roots, completely defeating the purpose of going blonde and a bad haircut. Very much a waste of $100 and 3.5 hours. ----- I had wonderful experience with Gellan on my first time but my 2nd visit today was terrible. Unfortunately Gellan was on vacation today but I was assured that the stylist today would know what I needed. I even went in two days ahead of time to express that I wanted my hair color and cut exactly the same as on my first visit. I expressed concerns while at salon with both my haircut and color. I communicated multiple times that I only wanted the back of my hair, slightly trimmed, but the angle of my angle bob to remain the same and no length should be taken off my front and now I have a straight bob all the way around - the beautiful angled cut I had is now gone. I was visibly upset and crying while at the salon because my hair was definitely not what I had asked for which was to be exactly the same as my first visit. I now have darker hair instead of blonde and a straight bob instead of an angled bob. Long the manager was defensive instead of kind or helpful and while the owner was friendly in the end all she offered me was $10 off the haircut and a promise to update my notes for next time. read more

Came back to get my hair toned and my hair is STILL happy and healthy! It's not many places you can go to where they bleach your hair especially mine from really black and get such a beautiful color! And my hair isn't brittle and hair falling out -- it's still feels soft and not tangly so I'm really happy with the results. You really pay for quality which is what I hope everyone wants when they get their hair done and there is no better quality than this place! I drive an hour just to get my hair done-- it's THAT good here! It was my first time at this salon and truly everyone there was amazing! I took my 2 daughters for haircuts and hair color. One of my daughter's had box hair dye (auburn) she needed a color correction and wanted to go blonde. In one session they were able to achieve that without damaging her hair. Had a really great experience!! Was able to come in for a walk in and was greeted right away by Ms. Trish. My hair was more on the orange/brassy side and I wanted to go for an ashy silver look. Showed her a picture inspiration and she was able to quote me right away. The whole process took about 4 and a half hours since I had to do some color correcting but it was a pleasant experience. They even provided me with some snacks and additional water even though I came with my own water bottle. She was honest and stated that she may not get the color right completely but after I was done with the wash and we got to styling I was really impressed with the results it's exactly what I have wanted for a while but it's been hard to accomplish going to other salons. Yelp, you understood the assignment! I've taken risks on a few services lately and Trish and Long kept the 5 star trend going! I reached out for a consultation on Sunday morning and was in the chair at their gorgeous salon before noon that very same day. Due to the amazingly unexpected convenience Trish afforded me, I was super nervous to take the appointment, as timing would have it! And I'd for sure not be able to secure anyone to watch my 4 year old I am never the person who takes the small human to places where other adults are trying to enjoy a bit of peace while partaking in some much deserved self care, trust me, I get how special that time is!
