Sad to say but have been having not great experiences here and am really disappointed. First, the fact the I can never order ahead here is very annoying (it's always intentionally turned off, whether it's a weekend or weekday - any time I check it's off). I used to be able to order ahead and the feature is not discontinued, just always off! Second, they recently added a rewards program and make it hard to use. You have to either order ahead (which like I said is always off) or have a linked card in the app. Shouldn't be hard but my card keeps disconnecting from the app so I can never actually earn my rewards and don't want to be that person holding up the line to re-add my card. I always feel rushed ordering anyway and the baristas are solely focused on maximizing efficiency, regardless of how busy it is. I can get that but connecting with the customer is lacking here. I love the drinks but the service and experience are not it for me and haven't been for awhile. Would love to see something be different so I could frequent here more often but for now will be going elsewhere. read more

First time here and tried the Blondie latte and the almond croissant. First of all, the croissant was so fresh and tasty. Enjoyed every bite. The latte was intriguing since it had salted brown sugar caramel, cookie butter, and miso. Personally, it could've used more espresso to balance the sweetness but it was still a great drink. Other notes: Friendly counter staff. Bright, sunlit cafe. Enough places to sit. Two hour street parking in Brookline. Wish they had some hot breakfast sandwiches and wraps. Blank Street has been one of my go-to matcha spots for a while now. Their Strawberry Shortcake Matcha is consistently solid. It has a nice balance between the sweet strawberries, light earthy matcha, and dash of cake extract. Get it with some oatmilk to make your day an extra good one. Pastry-wise, they carry a lot of typical breakfast pastries like cinnamon rolls, muffins, etc. I tried their crumble muffin but the interior was a little too dry. The cinnamon crumble topping was delicious though. Overall Blank Street is a trendy spot that lives up to the hype! read more

This place has a variety of fun matcha latte flavors! There's street parking that wasn't too tough to find a spot on a Wednesday morning. I love how their menu has a variety of specialty Matcha latte flavors. I ordered the strawberry shortcake Matcha iced, and I was surprised to find actual shortcake in it and jam. Some of the strawberry pieces in the jam got stuck in my straw, but still tasted pretty good. I definitely would come back. There are lots of chairs and barstools to sit and hang out or even study. read more

I have wanted to try Blank Street for a long time because I've heard so many good things - and it did not disappoint! The drink menu was extensive and had so many options to choose from, and I opted for their Daydream Latte - and it was so delicious. The flavors of the vanilla, honey and cinnamon blended so well together and created such an amazing and comforting taste. The ambience is very cozy, and it has a lot of windows which makes it feel very bright and spacey. The servers were so sweet as well. New location recently opened and is very busy! We had time to spare before our dinner table was ready next door at the daily catch. We found parking right on the corner at a meter! Usually you can find parking one way or another if you take a spin around the block. Beautiful weather day, typically i get the matcha blueberry iced latte or if they ever have just a standard strawberry matcha latte would be great! I went for the strawberry shortcake matcha this time around and it wasn't my cup of tea. Though it may not have been bad per-say, the strawberry shortcake overpowered the matcha completely, least for me. The taste of the shortcake reminded me of the artificial shortcake flavoring you use for other things. The lady always loves pistachio lattes so this time is no different. Enjoyed our drinks on the beautiful day and brought them with us to dinner. Clean open space, a lot of room for people to do work or hang by the windows. read more

Blank Street has been one of my go-to's for a couple years now! There are two in Beacon Hill that I find myself ordering from at least once a week for the last few years. It's nice to see that Blank Street has opened in Brookline ;) Very large location and is definitely one of the bigger ones (likely the largest location) that we have in Boston! I love getting their matcha drinks, especially the blueberry matcha, & their pistachio lattes. We tried the strawberry shortcake matcha this day & I'll be honest, I was not the biggest fan. I think it has too much going on and the strawberry shortcake overpowers the matcha completely. This location was also superrr busy when we visited but I believe they just recently opened, so that would make sense. Overall, love the location, it's a beautiful large space, love their matcha + pistachio lattes... just not a fan of the strawberry shortcake flavor. Highly recommend if you're looking for a decent matcha with unique combos, but of course, they offer the regular matcha latte too if you're looking for no frills. OH AND, you HAVE to try their sticky bun! It's a great snack to get from them ;)) Parking: lots of meter street parking around. The ambiance was cute and inside was quite a decently large cafe. This was my first time trying blank street and tbh it was ok. I got large sized for the following. Iced Matcha Strawberry Short Cake Latte: Definitely tasted like liquid strawberry short cake but I could not taste any matcha at all. It tasted like super sweetened milk. Iced Blueberry Matcha Latte: Was less sweeter than the strawberry short cake so I gravitated to drinking this more. Again, still no matcha taste at all and tasted like syrup + milk. Ham & Cheese Croissant: this was good but not amazing. They toast it for you so the croissant was warm and crispy! I'm willing to try this again with maybe another shot of matcha or less sweet. But disappointed since there was so much hype behind this cafe. read more

Hands down the BEST matcha in the Greater Boston area, as well as AMAZING coffee - 100/10. My girlfriend and I came here for the first time this summer after hearing all the craze, and this absolutely exceeded the hype. Delicious drinks. My girlfriend is a huge matcha drinker, myself not super, but this was the first matcha drink of my life I could absolutely down. She got the PB&J matcha, which had actually peanut butter and jelly clumps in it - it was such a unique and flavorful combination, absolute perfection. For myself, I got the famous strawberries and cream latte - it was delicious, super creamy and a delicious iced drink. This is my new spot, and not too expensive at $6 for such a tasty and high quality drink. Whenever I need a pick me up in the Brookline/Allston area, I am coming here no questions asked. read more

The staff is always so nice and my drinks come out so quickly. I ordered through the app and it glitched, saying that the payment had not gone through. I tried to order 2 more times but the same message kept popping up. When I got to the coffee shop, I realized the order had gone through 3 times.
