    Beet Poke Bowl

Great food if you're vegan or vegetarian!! My personal favorites are the verde bowl and coconut lentil soup. The staff is so nice, if you're confused which soup to go for, they can give you a sample of each. They also help with the type of salad bowl you should go for if you've never had it before. Their specialty coffees are the best!

The employees here are absolutely delightful--they greet everyone who walks in and explain the menu in a helpful way to newbies. They offer up staff favorites seamlessly and gave lots of great recommendations/explanations (which is probably why the wall menu didn't have item descriptions). Inside was quite spacious and not busy on a January Thursday for late lunch (1:15). I ended up grabbing the verde rice and bean bowl for $11.25 and it was tasty! There are fried plantains (the highlight for me!), pickled onions, shredded carrots, green onion, jalapeños which were perfect and added a kick, rice & beans (and probably a few others great ingredients haha). It was nice and warm for this cold day! It looked like most of their coffee was pour over style (which we love), and I overheard a recommendation for the George Howell roast so will be back to try this and their other house-made drinks!

A refreshing modern take on a vegetarian restaurant. I'm definitely a meat lover but I was converted here. ATMOSPHERE/ARCHITECTURE: 9/10 Modern setup of a restaurant with good lighting and situated in the Longwood Medical Area. It definitely goes well with the vibe of its namesake as Clover Food Lab. SERVICE: 9/10 Service is very good both in house and for delivery. Packaging is minimal and sustainable per the mission of the restaurant but is also usable and useful. FOOD: 10/10 Japanese Sweet Potato Platter - 10/10 - A limited time item made from a specific Japanese potato harvest, I tried this after several rave recommendations. This was simply phenomenal. The shoyu mayo sauce complemented the thin crispy exterior and soft melt in your mouth interior. This was an amazing dish that I ended coming back twice more as it was not going to last forever. VALUE: 7/10 It is in the pricier range but still reasonable. PROBABILITY OF RETURN: 10/10 TO EAT OR NOT TO EAT: Eat some veggies! OVERALL: 9/10

Very Spacious interior, great for larger groups. This was a recommendation by my vegan co-worker. The staff was very nice and friendly. I got the Chickpea Fritter sandwich which was really good and filling. I ordered on Doordash for pick up, I wish they had the mushroom sandwich option available there so that I can try it next time.

The food here is bomb (and I'm not even vegan)! The ingredients are flavorful and fresh, and the food comes out fast. You're greeted at the entrance and someone with an iPad takes your order. My main gripe is the price - I paid $17 for the Mediterranean platter and a side pita, which was a lot for a quick lunch. I feel like the pita should be included in the price since otherwise there's no good way to eat the large amounts of hummus. I appreciate that they have ample seating and that all their materials are compostable.

Need a quick, yet healthy pick-me-up? TRY this place. It's a vegan restaurant that's flavorful, healthy, fast-service, and most importantly filling. Favorite platter to try Baja mushroom. It's wow goodness. You've got crispy breaded fried mushrooms balanced with a healthy salad: cabbage, carrots, and radishes. The best part right now is the seasonal: apple salad. Calorie count with the side dish: around 300 calories. Clover Food Lab has a plethora of options: snacks, sandwiches, soups, salad to baked goods, and even drinks! The only downside for this place is the cost: each platter is about $11.19, so you're really paying for each ingredient and the quality of the meal

    BBQ seitan (dry)

I was a fan when they first opened years ago and I've always loved their eggplant dish. Today I tried it again after moving back to the Boston area, it was pretty disappointed. The BBQ seitan sandwich was dry. Service was lackluster - even when I tipped, the counter person didn't make eye contact when saying thank you or when handing me my order.

Chickpea fritter pita and rosemary fries
    Jerry C.

Omgggg the food was amaaaaazing!!!!! At first I was worried that it wouldn't fill me up because I eat a lot, but I was wrong! I got the chickpea fritter pita, which was their very first menu item. The rosemary fries smells sooooo good and you can taste and smell the aroma. Very healthy and leaves you satisfied and wanting for more!

A great coffee, breakfast and lunch spot that cares for local farming but delivers delicious coffee & meals.

The food is pretty fantastic here! I would say the service needs a slight improvement but one million stars for how tasty the vegetarian food options are and for the ambiance and spaciousness this eatery offers. I've ordered here: 1.) The Baja Mushroom Pita Sandwich (summer spacious) - 4 stars. This is not at all spicy and the mushrooms have some hard chewy parts that can be tough to work through. But the cornmeal buttermilk coating on the mushroom is yummy as is the pita spread. 2.) Chickpea Fritter Pita Sandwich - 5 star. Must order, fan favorite and very loaded with all the veggies 3.) BLT Pita Sandwich - 5 stars. Must order, Secret menu item that you have to ask for. I'm not sure why they don't have it on the menu because it's utterly delicious and my favorite menu item here! 4.) Chocolate Whoopie Pies - 5 stars. Served after 5 pm on Friday's. Definitely a must order item and has a light cream cheese whipped filling. Utterly mouth watering! This Clover location is by far the best I've been to. The eatery is huge and there's plenty of seating and areas to move around. There's even a bar top to sit at where you can get a closer view of the beautiful open kitchen concept they have. My own gripe with this location is that they are constantly running out of ingredients. I guess it's good they are selling food so quickly but I really wish they were better stocked. I also wish their digital cashier system or lack there of was better organized. Digital cashiers need a podium or something to stand behind so customers can line up more efficiently instead of scattering like ants and creating a crowd right in front of the office.

Chickpea fritter sandwich (vegan). This is a sandwich that could make a believer out of a meat-eater. As they say here, this is Wicked Good!

She was so excited when she found Cafe Bonjour because they had several gluten-free options on the menu. We took an Uber there right after we landed and were able to walk right in and get a table when they opened, which worked out perfectly because the place started to fill up! It's a cute little spot with plenty of seating inside, and they also had a nice outdoor parklet that would be great in good weather. We asked to sit at the bar so we could watch the cooks in action, which was really fun. The menu had all the classic breakfast favorites like eggs and French toast, along with some lunch options like hamburgers and chicken wraps. The staff was very friendly and attentive. My wife ordered the gluten-free eggs benedict and absolutely loved it. I had the Bonjour omelet, and it was delicious. However, it's close to Boston Common and the public garden so there's things to do to while you wait. The owner and staff are super nice and friendly. They're cognizant that people wait a long time to eat at their establishment and treat you with kindness when you're inside. It is very cramped and the tables are close together, but the rustic feeling makes it a great place to catch up with 1 or 2 friends. There's a wide variety of breakfast/brunch items, so there's something on the menu for everyone. The kitchen also is good about substitutions. Additionally, the portions are reasonable for the price, especially for the area. Most entrees come with a salad, which was a fun surprise. I got the Signature Scramble and liked the variety in the dish. The eggs did have caramelized onions, which I picked out, but there was a good amount of sauce and flavor on the plate. This place has been on my Boston brunch bucket list, so I'm glad that I've gone. I'd recommend this place to people who appreciate a good meal, but wouldn't take people who are impatient or claustrophobic.

Every search for…read morebreakfast spots mentioned Mike & Patty's as a must stop for the best breakfast sandwich you're going to get anywhere. Enough said! I'm a huge breakfast fanatic, especially a good breakfast sandwich or burrito. This is the original location that was started by two friends and has grown to multiple other locations since. We took an Uber here from our hotel. I imagine if you drive over here, parking will be a challenge. It's almost easy to miss. It sits on a corner of a brick building with just writing on the windows. In all my research I did not catch that it is the smallest restaurant in Boston at only 175 square feet. It's basically a room with most of the space taken by the tiny kitchen. There's also a little tiny ledge on the window with a couple of stools for those who may want to dine in. Customers including us took turns walking in and putting in our orders and then stepping out to make room for more people. It had a steady line the whole time we were there. Hours are limited from 7:30-2 so don't delay. Customer service was straight business, kind of the norm in Boston. Their menu is breakfast sandwiches, a couple of burritos and some lunch options like a turkey sandwich, BLT, or a Rueben. For sides, they have hashbrowns or a plain English muffin. For a small menu, they do have quite a few drink options like coffee, tea, juices, and different flavored milks including banana milk which I have never seen. For their food, they use high quality ingredients from local farms and purveyors and have their own bakery for their bread. My eyes fixated on the Breakfast Grilled Crack mainly for the name, but also all the ingredients looked tasty. It was quality eggs, bacon, four cheeses on sourdough bread. I went extra and added sausage to it as well. I also got OJ to wash it down. We realized our only option to eat comfortably was to go back to our hotel lobby to eat. Even with the travel time, the sandwich was nice and warm and the bread was still nice and crispy from the griddle. This sandwich was indeed one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had. I almost felt guilty eating it because of how rich and cheesy it was. I would skip the hash brown next time. It did not travel well nor did it have anything special going on with it. Hands down one of my favorite meals of the trip that I would absolutely do again if I am in the area.
