The staff works very quickly and if you have any questions or have never been there, they are great at trying to guide you at what you may like. This place is a pretty laid back. I have visited Blaze a number of times and have always felt like it was a welcoming restaurant. Unfortunately with my last visit I came in and was greeted by a short lady with blonde hair. She made our pizzas and as she was checking out my boyfriend and I out she had made a comment about her own children and how hard it is to be a mom which I thought to be odd. Was in Lincoln Nebraska today for lunch with my daughter. Saw blBze Pizza right near campus so we decided to go there. This was my first time there but daughter has been there a time or two before. I can't remember the specific name but I got the all meat pizza and my daughter got the pizza with ricotta cheese and artichoke hearts. The pizza was cooked so fast and I was so surprised. Custom pizza and fast food. It's a tough combination. When we arrived for lunch the place was hoppin'. So hoppin' that the folks behind the counter were kind of a mess. It started out great and then got progressively worse, ending with the manager dumping an entire bottle of oil all over the counter because he was in such a rush to get those pizzas out. I feel like this could be done better. I don't have a solution, but when you have you're team and all it's glory out their for everyone to see, I think is also part of the customer experience. So, the wait was long. I kind of expected that. Again, custom pizza and fast food. Why? Anyway, we got our food and it was good enough. I got the buffalo chicken salad because it was the healthiest thing I could find on the menu. For the price, the salad was eh. It's small. The person preparing it was lovely, took her time to explain the process to me since I was new. The sauce has some heat. Ingredients were fresh. The chicken is like processed little bits, not fresh chicken. My friend ordered the Green Stripe pizza and I had a slice. There's not a lot to it but it was yummy. I love thin crust. My wife and I stayed at the Kindler Hotel in Lincoln last week. We didn't want to drive to a restaurant so we tried to find something within walking distance that we hadn't had before! We found Blaze just a few blocks away and went to go and try it out! It's a create your own pizza spot and I loaded up my pizza with toppings! Pepperoni, Chicken, Artichokes, Corn, Spicy Red Sauce, Olives, Mushrooms and Red Peppers. It was pretty good and it doesn't break the bank by any means. We totally missed drizzling extra sauce on our pizzas at the end, which was a bummer and my mushrooms could have been cooked a little more, however I did overload on toppings so maybe that just makes sense. Thought I was being punked. Not to be super rude, but the staff was moving at -5 mph. There was one person in line in front of us when we got in. I've been to this Blaze a few times, and the pizza is AMAZING. not good...great. This is the chipotle (but better) of pizza. You pick all your toppings. Generous portions for 8$! The pizza comes out quick once you are through line. Now for the hit and miss section - service and whether it's slightly burned. I've been there when service is friendly and fast. And I've been there when service was slow and disinterested in you and your pizza (this was when it was slow and mostly empty too, so wasn't just because it was rush). So you never know which you will get. They also occasionally over cook the pizza. Not the end of the world but you don't want to take the time to go remake it, so it's a major bummer. I'm giving 4 stars because of the hit and miss stuff. If they can clean up the service and get more consistent with the cooking it's a slam dunk 5 stars. Totally worth checking out. read more

I had ordered from the online website at around 4, for a delivery order due for delivery at 7. It ended up not getting delivered till about 8. That really isn't a big deal. I work in the food business. I've also worked for Blaze. I understand days like this are stressful. It's a very high volume location. I think the thing that bummed about is that my ingredients where only half correct, I understand if something is missed or maybe one vegetable, but you took out one ingredient and gave me three I didn't ask for. I hope you guys improve on this. As for the pizza it was great as ever. They use very quality items in every pizza, and to be able to put out such a high volume of pizzas is a very high task. Overall this was my first bad experience with Blaze. I still would recommend it. I just hope they can fix this problem. The amount of ingredient mixup is frustrating. read more

Gave one star due to the very rude treatment we received from the guy running cash register and oven. I tried to use the app to earn rewards and I accidentally held it under twice and it froze up the register. He got very upset was slamming things around. I apologized several times saying sorry, it usually gives a message that it scanned app. He said it beeped. So went to next register. Your posted hours are not being followed by employees... we tried to go many times finding the doors locked while people were still in line ordering their pizzas and dining. On many of the occasions it was locked up hours before the posted hours. What they heck is going on?? Change your hours online and on the door if you are going to change your hours. It's extremely annoying to drive all the way downtown, park, walk to the restaurant, only to find the doors locked 45 minutes before the posted time.
