Not impressed. Been ordering their pizzas for over 20 years and have always enjoyed them very much. The pizza didn't taste anything like it used to and all but two pieces of the 16" we ordered had this much puffy crust, meaning very little actual pizza. The crust was way too thick on the sides and undercooked on the bottom, the pesto was incredibly skimpy as were the artichokes (which were also chopped up so much they were hard to differentiate in texture and flavor). Hoping it was a fluke. All we could really taste were onions, cheese and spicy chicken. Will give it one more try to see if it was an off night. Pretty disappointing for an expensive pizza. As a side note: They were super slow, we were the only people in there, so being busy isn't an excuse. read more

This kills me because I used to like this place, but what a ridiculous experience. So you call for delivery and they say we aren't doing that, use our website and use Uber Eats or DoorDash. They are on neither of those apps when you look for them. Then you call and say hey I'll just pick it up and do carry out. I give my order and their price is more than $10 higher then their online menu and they said "an it could be a little higher when you get here depending on fees." Wtf is that?! This is a pretty good place, but a manager needs to show a little bit of effort and fix some simple stuff. How hard is this? I canceled my order and went elsewhere. I'm not paying $46 bucks for 2 medium pizzas that I have to pick up lol what a joke. Oh ya the first price they gave me was 65 bucks! I said "for two medium pizzas I'm coming to get??" Lazzari's has awesome pizza! It's New York style, foldable and delicious. The sauce is great! We've found the sauce at a lot of the pizza places in Lincoln to be pretty sweet, but the sauce at Lazzari's is savory and tangy, just as it should be. They have weekly special flavors: ask before ordering if calling it in, because maybe you'll want to try it! Their website doesn't allow half flavors, but if you call your order in they totally accommodate. We've tried the plain cheese, pepperoni, veggie combo, ICBOP (I cant believe it's only pepperoni), fancy cheese (can't remember the exact name), and the special chicken chipotle. They've all been amazing!! The ICBOP differs from regular pepperoni in that the cheese is on top. There is a TON of pepperoni, and this flavor is great. The pepperoni doesn't get crispy as it's buried, but it's very tasty. The four-cheese was more fragrant than the plain cheese, so if you like the Asiago type flavor, you'll love it! The veggie combo and pepperoni are just as you would expect...satisfying! The special chipotle chicken is awesome, and my husband loved it. There was grilled chicken, red onion, cilantro, fresh pineapple, and a chipotle sauce swirl. It wasn't too spicy, but was oh so flavorful. If you're craving great pizza with a New York flair, check out Lazzari's! Oh, and their sizes are way bigger than other places so keep that in mind! Fresh and delicious food served by friendly staff. It was a lovely time all around. We ordered a 12" meat combo and a small salad. Both were plenty for the two of us to share. Salad was fresh with a nice creamy Italian dressing. The pizza was hot on delivery to our table. Bonus for staff who changed TV station so we could watch Husker volleyball! Great experience. We ordered 3 pizzas to watch NFL Sunday football game. We had a few drinks so we opted to have it delivered. The only option available was EatStreet. I understand there is a delivery fee but to my surprise, 20% tip was already included. And yes, it's still cheaper than paying for Uber to pick it up ourselves or getting a DUI...AND we were would've have liked to have that as an option to add ourselves, if warranted. The taco pizza was one of the most flavourful taco pizzas I've come across. It was on point, from the crust to the fresh toppings, I feel in love with this pizza. The pepperoni pizza is just like any pepperoni pizza. A staple pizza to have to watch football. The crab Rangoon pizza was a bit bland, maybe some fresh crab would've really elevated the flavors. To be honest, I didn't even tasted the crab but I'm sure it was mixed in there. If I'm paying a little bit over $70 for 3 pizzas, then yes, I'm expecting a "wow" experience. I'll definitely try this location again, if only for the taco pizza. Unfortunately, we will not be ordering delivery again. We are from out of state & stayed at a local hotel & ordered delivery to our nearby hotel. We ordered a sizable order- upon getting our food delivered- they forgot our drinks so went to nearby store to get our drink. After ordering pizza, wings, salad, chicken fettuccine & soda. We inquired where our napkins & silverware was. Really? Our many customers really HAVE TO ASK for something that is required in order to even eat our food. Food not that great & the driver was nice & we did leave the expected tip--- they sure collected the pre-tip even as we placed the order that was the suggested & proper method-- what ever happened to tipping once we saw if we got everything WE were expected in order to eat our meal. there's likely other places that have better pizza & other food items & likely include silverware to complete the order. I don't eat pizza very often and we have never had a "bad" pizza that was inedible but tonight came close. Let me start off by saying I love salty food but tonight's pizza was so salty that I could only eat two pieces before hitting my limit of salt. We have eaten many sausage and pepperoni pizzas over the years including green olives and never tasted anything close to this salty. We also have never thrown leftover pizza away but tonight we did. I picked off a piece of sausage to try to narrow down the offending topping and ate it. I think maybe that the cook who fried up the sausage accidentally seasoned it with a shaker with a loose lid. This is not, as far as I know, typical of Lazzari's. It is very hard to find good help and maybe this cook grew up eating anchovies. read more

Employees we're hanging out inside and treated me as if I strolled uninvited into their own home. I used to love coming here to grab a slice but that has changed now. This is our second trip to this Lazzari's location since it opened last week. Clearly our first trip was a success, as we returned. Our second trip was not very good. We ordered garden salads ($1.89 each). They were nothing more than a handful or bagged lettuce with a couple strings of mozzarella. Boo. We also ordered the 3-piece breadsticks. Another let down ($2.99), tiny, and not the best. Now, onto the main problem. Our pizza crust was burnt to the point of not being able to use a fork and knife to cut it. It could not be pierced with a fork. It.was.gross. I normally eat three pieces. I forced myself to finish 1.5 because I felt bad about wasting money. Mozzarella sticks were okay, and the wings were very good. The pizza took awhile to get out but the man who brought it out was apologetic. When it did the center of the pizza was completely soggy. I rarely take the time to write a review, but my experience warrants one. I went to the downtown Lazzari's many times when I worked down there, and thought that the pizza was decent. I decided to try out the south location for lunch one day- I had an hour for lunch, so I figured I was safe. Please note, they had already been open for months. I ordered two slices to go. The young woman at the counter was friendly, but not big on communication. After between fifteen and twenty minutes, I went up to the counter and waited. The young woman came out after a few minutes, and I said "Hey- just wondering if my pizza will be done soon. I need to eat lunch and get back to work." She told me that they had burned my first slices, and had just put in fresh ones. I was annoyed because I had already been waiting twenty minutes, but appreciated that they weren't trying to pass off burnt pizza without fixing it. I waited at least ten more minutes without word. I went up to the counter again, and was going to just request my money back, but she told me it should be ready, and went to the back and got it. No apologies at all. The pizza was ok... I gave them one more chance about two weeks ago. Food was super average. Server still basically paid almost no attention to us, but was friendly. Not impressed. The food is expensive for the quality. The servers expect to get tipped. If you expect a tip, do the work to warrant it! And ALWAYS communicate with your customers. It will benefit you every time. read more

The bake on the pizza was perfect for me. it was just a little brown and the cheese on top had just a few barely browned bubbles. the toppings were adequate. 2$ delivery charge was "reasonable" by today's standards. but the lack of deals/specials puts this place below the major chains for my 'go to' pizza. my only actual complaint is the online ordering doesn't warn you how long the delivery will be, it only tells you after you ordered how long it might take. (it estimated 75-90 minutes, and arrived in around 40). i would compare this closely to a well made, slightly thinner papa john's pizza. if you like that style of pizza, try here. Lazzari's Pizza was the first pizza place I've tried since moving to Lincoln last week. First off, let me say the mozzarella sticks were amazing!! The pizza was huge and tasted pretty good. I ordered one with peppers and onions, and I will say they put a LOT of onions on the pizza. Next time I would either ask for less onion or maybe just avoid it all together because it was under the cheese and minced which made it more difficult to remove. I will definitely give the place another try though. read more
