    Blaze Pizza, Park Royal North

Blaze Pizza is one of my favourites. I usually do build your own. Love the crust and love the fresh toppings. Was so disappointed when the downtown Vancouver location closed, so now I have to head to this West Vancouver location for Blaze. Thanks Blaze Pizza!

I come every year to Blaze pizza for the pi day sale. (I wish i knew about this years ago!) This year, due to covid, blaze pizza allowed customers to use their pi day coupon in the app anytime until December 31st. I was actually looking to use my pi day coupon in downtown but i was shocked when i learned that the one in downtown permanently closed. The next closest one was in west Vancouver so i drove over there just to redeem my pi day coupon. For those that don't know, the pi day coupon in the app comes every year on march 14th, or 3/14, and you can get any 11 inch pizza for an amazing price of $3.14. The best part is you can choose every topping you want! Yes you heard that right, you can put unlimited toppings. All you need to do is register on their app before then to get this deal. So of course I built my own pizza with practically every meat available and a whole bunch of my favorite veggies (sorry i didn't remember which topping exactly). On top of that, they have finishes on the pizza. I picked arugula and a drizzle of ranch dressing. The pizza was SO GOOD. Like so dang good. My friends had a pi day coupon that they didn't redeem yet and they ordered their own pizzas as well. I can say confidently that my pizza was delicious. However, one of my friend's pizza was slightly overcooked because it was kind of tough to chew and it was a bit burnt (dark brown) at the bottom of the pizza (according to her). Gotta minus a star for that, unfortunately. We would have asked for them to remake it but we all went home already before we tasted it and it would be a hassle to drive all the way back. The service was OK. The lady at the counter was friendly enough and she kindly explained the pi sale ordering process to me. I appreciate that all the staff wore masks and stayed far away when taking my order. (Social distancing is important guys!) The place was clean and I would feel safe eating inside knowing the tables were sanitized after every use and half of them were closed for social distancing. I'm not sure if i would go out of my way to west vancouver for blaze pizza nowadays but i would go back for next year's pi day sale for sure. TL;DR Blaze pizza's annual Pi day sale is the bomb. The pizza was mostly amazing but one of them was a bit overcooked. OK service. Good covid precautions and its pretty clean so eating inside is safe. Also RIP blaze pizza downtown Vancouver.

Sure. Okay. Not bad. Not great, but not bad. I'd probably only eat here again if I'm in the area and I'm hungry, as there are so many other good places to get a better pizza, but again, this pizza want too bad. The service was quick and friendly, and the restaurant was nice and clean.

The place has been teasing me the whole time when they were under construction. We finally got to try the place, and we used the app to order the pizza. We opted for the build your own pizza and it cost $12.85 for 11" pizza (feed 2 people, or 1 ). The cost has included ALL of the trimmings (meat and vegetables), and finishing (arugula, pesto drizzle, etc). The ravenous kiddos opted for a couple of the "simple pie": red sauce, mozzarella, and parmesan. We devoured the pizzas between 5 of us. Mr.8 was so smitten with his meal and we went back and did a dine in the next day. We tried the it takes two deal, which is half pizza (3 slices) with salad. We are glad that this place done the pizza right, specially for the kids. I often find in other places that the sauce is too spicy and/or too strong for the kids' palates. The staff are very friendly and cheerful. I was quite impressed with the head staff on duty that she really did a quality control over each pizza. Tips: download the app to collect points for yummy free drinks (agua fresca, blood orange lemonade) and free pizza

Seriously my favourite pizza place in all of Greater Van atm! The service was actually nice which says quite a lot given that their system is designed kind of like Subway, with the pizza being passed along an assembly line from crust to toppings. The staff were really friendly & strangely sincere despite the place being completely packed. That aside, let's get down to the actual pizza. We did the DIY/Build Your Own for $12.85 & it was incredible. Everything was super fresh. The crust was baked thin & light, with a perfect balance of crunchiness/pillowy softness that never got chewy. The sauce was pretty standard but the toppings were where you really tasted the difference. You have got to try their Ovalini mozzarella; it was delicate but incredibly buttery & was amazing when topped with arugula/basil + their balsamic glaze. They had lots of veggies (including roasted varieties) & drizzles galore. For the proteins/meats, I'd definitely recommend their applewood bacon, grilled chicken & both types of meatballs. All that in under 5min!

So great to hear that Blaze Pizza opened up another location! Recently saw an ad announcing their grand opening with free personalized size pizza the whole day today - Dec 14. The pizza was a very generous size! Can feed two and you can build your own with your choice of crust too. I tried the high rise crust in my recent visit and liked it just as much as the thin! Very crunchy and not doughy at all! And the staff are super friendly, efficient and generous with the ingredients! Highly recommend adding the smoked ham if you like meat and ovalilni mozzarella for the extra cheesiness. And adding the extra arugula and ranch drizzle as the final touch totally gives the pizza a little extra flavor! Great pizza, good ingredients and fast! Awesome eat to stop by and try!

We also managed to try the Eiscafe, which was their 2nd creation for the Vanfoodster Best Sundae Challenge . Spaghetti Gelato: Biscottino Gelato was the base of this dessert, and it was topped with strawberry sauce and shaved coconut. Such a fun creation but not a camera friendly treat to have, especially on a hot summer's day as the "spaghetti" strands can melt quickly and before you know it, you'll have gelato soup on your plate! Photos and video need to be taken quickly before it melts! As for the taste, it was a yummy treat but I think the strawberry sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste. The gelato is very tasty on its own and the sauce is unnecessary. It sure does make for a wonderful photo though and if they would cut back a bit on the amount of sugar in the strawberry sauce, I'd happily eat this treat again! Eiscafe: Made of Mogiana coffee flavoured gelato, vanilla gelato, 2 shots of Mogiana espresso shots, chocolate sauce, whipped cream and coffee nibs, this takes the traditional Affogato dessert to an entirely new level. While the Spaghetti Gelato had more "wow" factor on camera, I enjoyed the taste of the Eiscafe more. The combination of the Mogiana coffee flavoured gelato mixed with the Mogiana espresso itself was so luxurious and not overly sweet. Stepping into others' imprinted snow footsteps trying not to slip and fall onto the newly fallen snow, we made it into Cafe Crema in West Vancouver. The first thing with this place that gets you is the vibe. Mood lighting, lovely high tables and plenty of space. You can sit there, and daydreaming in this place is highly encouraged preferably with a glass of bold red and a slice of Margherita Pizza. I didn't really know what I wanted, which rarely happens, but this was one of those special occasions where you just let spontaneity take over. I was going to just have a coffee, but as I approached the register area to order my Americano, I kept seeing this glimmer in the corner of my eye. It was quite bright, but just a glimmer, so I looked over and it was just this muffin sitting there in the display. I asked the cashier what muffin that was, and I was told that it was the Vegan Banana Chocolate Muffin. "Vegan?" I asked. He said, "Yup." I almost walked away trying to find something else, but the damn thing looked so good. So, reluctantly I decided to try a Vegan Muffin. I said to myself, "well, what's the worst that could happen? I'll just throw it out if I don't like it." That winking-luring Vegan muffin was so good that it actually trumped many of the dairy based muffins I've had in the past. I'll tell you how and why. First, it was rich, creamy, dense, moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. You could taste the Cocoa and hint of Banana and nuts throughout. As much as all the ingredients together gave the muffin its wonderful taste, you could also taste each component individually. I don't have a sweet tooth at all, and it's rare to find me ordering desert or eating muffins. I ate this damn thing like I just discovered the taste of sweet for the first time. Between this awesome Vegan muffin, the great Americano and this cozy little lamp on the table and the beautiful glowing white snow on Bellevue Drive, this indeed was a memorable experience and a one time love affair with a Vegan Muffin. (No, I hadn't smoked anything that day.)

Here's how it went down: I walked in off the street and the girl taking orders seemed totally overwhelmed. I asked how long for my order - 2 pastas and a bocconcini salad - and she said 30mins. I was about to say forget it but then she remembered pasta doesn't take so long - 15/20mins. Inevitably I ended up waiting 10mins to give my order, 35mins for food and, though it was good, they forgot my $9 salad. Didn't realize 'til I was home. She was snarky too when I'd come in to ask if my order was up, not remembering that I'd ordered anything. Hate it that restos don't take more pride and put someone with skill on their front line.
